“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We finally made it to SB’s Love Shack and WOW — what an absolute gem. It’s a smaller café, so when it’s cold there can be a short wait and limited indoor seating (no reservations), but it totally makes sense for the size. When the weather’s warm, they have a large patio. They’re open 9–2, and the staff was so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The décor is super unique with a total RVA vibe. The food was unreal. I had the Glitter on a Mattress (Texas toast with bacon & sausage gravy, a side of bacon, and edible glitter ✨) and it was SO good — and huge. We also tried the French toast with flavored fruit cream and a breakfast sandwich, and everything was amazing. Parking is limited in the front, but there’s plenty around the back and an easy walk-up through a covered patio area. Great food, great service, fun atmosphere. Highly recommend — can’t wait to go back. 💕🍳✨“

“I absolutely loved Early Bird Biscuit Company. The environment alone is worth the visit — delightful, warm, and full of character. The space is decorated with vintage early-1900s artwork, much of it featuring dogs, which gives the place a really charming, unexpected personality. There’s also an old National cash register and an apothecary-style glass cabinet for the bakery items that make it feel timeless and thoughtfully curated.
The food was excellent. I had a huge biscuit stacked with two pieces of sausage and egg, and everything tasted genuinely made from scratch — because it clearly is. The biscuit was substantial, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, not just big for the sake of being big.
What really ties it all together is the staff. Everyone was pleasant, happy, and clearly enjoying what they do. You can feel the joy they put into making the biscuits, and that energy carries straight through to the customer experience.
Early Bird Biscuit Company is one of those places that gets everything right: atmosphere, food, and people. A true Richmond gem.“

“I don’t usually leave reviews but I wanted to say I have came to eggspectation with my Lady at least twice one time 100% before my son was born and now once with him and I can say this second time confirms I love the food here the breakfast sandwich never fails it’s absolutely delicious and don’t get me started on the french toast that me and my son ate together 9.5/10 recommendation“

“My day started out pretty hectic, but I received the best service from 2 very friendly ladies at RVA that put a smile on my face. I only had time for a pumpkin spice iced coffee pick me up, but it was delicious! I HIGHLY recommend this place just for the vibes and sweet service alone! Next time, I’ll be trying the food.“

“Me and my folks went there last night. The food was the bomb!!! The Soul rolls and Salmon entree was soooo good. My husband had a crab omelet and grits that he enjoyed as well! My friends enjoyed their meals as well! I highly recommend this spot!!!“
“The food was delicious. Make sure you wait at the front. The hostess caught a bit of an attitude because they had removed their 'Please wait to be seated sign', and I walked in and went to sit down. The breakfast has was gluten free and absolutely scrumptious. Great atmosphere. Good coffee.

“It was a pretty busy when I went, people lined up inside to get out of the cold. The staff handled it really well and it seemed like tables were prepped and food came out really quickly. But the reason I'm writing this review is because of our server, Emmanuel! Even with how busy things were, he was very kind and outgoing. We came for my nephews birthday, so he gave all the kids hats and brought 3 other staff over to sing!
I read another review before going and someone mentioned Emmanuel being top notch. When our server first came to the table, I only thought to check his name tag after he started talking with us. Sure enough, same Emmanuel at our table. Seriously, he's probably the best server I've EVER had at any restaurant. Give that man a raise! Oh, the food was good too, especially the eggs. Gotta figure out how they do it.“

“We were a big group and a man I want to say Brian was our server all alone! He was great but I think the manager could of helped assist him more. He was running all over the place. He forgot a few things of mine but I didn't say anything because I felt bad and I didn't get a refill on my drink but once and that was at the end of my meal. I felt like he hid once everyone was eating lol 😆 but the food quality was good I would try this place again“

“What's not to love about pancakes, crepes, waffles, and French toast. They're all delicious but I have never had cold brew so bad in my life which is why I had to give 4 stars. It was black but somehow tasted like cheese. I don't understand. Regular coffee is fine, it's just the cold brew that tastes strange. Go there but never order cold brew.“
