“Give the is tavern your business. Seriously impressed with our waitress tonight and the entire team. We walked in at 8pm after a soccer game with 20 people. We were welcomed in, sat and out by 9:30pm. Just amazing service overall and the food was great! Next time we are back for Jeff Cup we will be back. Thank you for taking care of us tonight!“

“Stopped in here waiting to meet a friend. Sat at the bar. Only had cocktails and appetizers but the bartender, Pierro, and the manager, Jenny, were wonderful.

Steak tartare and duck dumplings were delicious. The cocktail, the Lombardy was one of the better cocktails I’ve had in a while.

Atmosphere was great. Lighting and music were appropriate. It was quiet when I got there but was picking up when I was leaving.

“Came in before a show at the Camel. Service was wonderful. Amongst myself and company we tried the oysters, fish chowder, chicken wings, trout de florentine (sp?), and three of the cocktails which I forget the names of but they were delicious. Lovely experience and bartenders were especially hospitable (we sat at the bar).

Def plan to return. Oysters were great. Very few places in town have actual choices in selection.

Parking: Not sure about designated parking. Found some street parking within a block or so.“

“Let me just say, the Embassy Suites in Richmond, VA, truly went above and beyond! We rolled in around 2 AM, and those late check-ins can be hit or miss. But our check-in was lightning fast and so incredibly smooth. The lady at the front desk was an absolute angel. I wish I could remember her name, because her kindness at that hour was just what we needed. She was so understanding and welcoming, it made our late arrival feel like no big deal at all. And the hotel itself? Absolutely beautiful! The lobby is stunning, and it really sets the tone for the whole place. Our room was fantastic too – super comfortable, and you could tell it was meticulously cleaned. After a long drive, sinking into those comfy beds in such a clean space was a dream. If you're ever in Richmond, you've got to check out this Embassy Suites. It's a fantastic spot with amazing staff!“

“My friends and I had a fantastic time indulging in multiple rounds of Lemon Drop Martinis, along with delicious appetizers like cornbread and wings, followed by a delightful dinner. Our server was exceptional, making the evening even more special as we celebrated my friend's birthday. To our surprise, they treated my friend to a complimentary glass of Prosecco adorned with a birthday candle. We couldn't resist sharing our entrees, which included smoked brisket meatballs, pan-roasted shrimp, and fried catfish, all of which were incredibly tasty. The portions were generous enough for sharing, and the fried catfish was simply the best we've ever tasted, prompting us to order some to take home. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for a cozy evening with friends or family!“

I’m not usually a downtown Richmond person—city crowds just aren’t my thing—but I’m really glad he suggested this spot. I made the drive from King William, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was fantastic, and the laid-back atmosphere made it the perfect place to reconnect. I had the pork carnitas with a Caesar side salad—super flavorful, and the pork was incredibly tender. The Caesar dressing? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d love to know if it was homemade or store-bought, because I need it in my life! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and cool meeting spot. I’m already planning to explore more RIC gems soon!“

“My family and I took my Mother there for her 91st birthday. In all there were 14 of us. The staff took great care of us. We ordered from the brunch menu. Everyone one of us had a wonderful time. The food was tasty, chef (AJ) even came out to say Happy Birthday to his Grandmother! Several of us said we will return again. Kid friendly, but don't be a jerk- if you are ordering food (for yourself or your kid) rub the two neurons together that it takes to understand how unfair it is to the staff to order food on the balcony - it SUCKS to have to get food to there, (and, shockingly!) even more than it sucks having to go back downstairs to order food. Just be a decent person, order drinks at the bar (like a normal person), and get your food downstairs close to the kitchen.... that way it is still warm when you get it, and you won't sound like a completely entitled dumbass when you complain about how long it took/how cold your food is, when you were too lazy to even try to go downstairs without the burden of an order.“

“First time at Sloop John B Island Style Taco Bar and YOU need to go! It is a beautiful and upscale contemporary ambiance that reminded me of a spot I would find on the beach. Everything from the drinks to the food was die for. It was a refreshing take on fresh salsa and Caribbean flavors- the appetizers and tacos were to die for. The service from our server needed improvement as we only saw her 3x (when seated, took order, brought check), she didn’t check in with us at all and had to ask the hostess to go find her. Other than that, descent spot for breakfast.“
