“I ordered the Sicilian pizza for take-out, so service and atmosphere are really not important. However, as part of service, when I called in the order, it was very cheerfully taken, and they called me when it was ready. I like Sicilian pizza very much, but it's usually rather dry. This was anything but. The cheese is great, but the sauce is fantastic. I'd say it's the BEST Sicilian pizza I've ever had. I'm from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania originally, home of pan-fried Sicilian (which is a different thing altogether). But for lovers of very traditional Sicilian, I'd highly recommend this!“

“This place is the absolute best in the Richmond surrounding area. The owner is really nice and his food is amazing. The amount of food you get for the price is another reason to come here. The cheesesteak is one of the bests I’ve ever had. I ordered an 8 inch and he gave me a 12 inch. I could easily split this up into 3 meals. Go support local business and enjoy 😍“

“2 kids and I shared a large pizza while biking around the city. Frankly, I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. Pizza had a nice crust, both crisp and chewy. Plenty of sauce that was not a sweet as usual and enough cheese to satisfy my kids as well. Will definitely go back again.“

“Visiting City and Ordered Chanellos off a flyer in our hotel lobby. … WOW. Zero Expectations but these guys shot the moon. Wings and Pizza for 20 Bucks. Mango Habanero was wonderful tangy spice perfectly cooked. Plenty of wings for a Pound. But the pizza… delivered piping hot, perfectly cooked and the best part, the ingredients were QUALITY. Flavor packed sausage, crispy fresh onions and green peppers. Great job Chanellos Team! I’ll be back !“

“My partner and I went to Lost Letter last night for a celebration dinner. We tried a cocktail each and shared a bottle of wine. We ordered a bunch of appetizers/food to share and everything was delicious. The service was absolutely top notch. They boxed up my leftovers and checked them in the back so we could enjoy our dessert without them on the table and brought them back out when we were finished. I noticed that every little detail was considered, even with how they treated the tables that were around us. We both agreed this was the best dining experience that we have had in Richmond.“

“Just left from their. Got the greek meatball appetizer (big enough for a meal) and a small greek salad and a bloody mary. ALL of it was terrific. My MIL got a crab sandwich and it was really good as well. The onion rings were the best I ever had.“

“We visited for the first time yesterday. Our waitress was pleasant company and attentive. The person who sat us was a doll. We ordered a few different things to get a feel for the food. The margherita pizza was fantastic. The penne vodka was probably the best vodka sauce I’ve ever had, and that is not an exaggeration. My husband really enjoyed his chicken parm. Happy to have found this new to us gem for when we are in the area. Thank you for bringing some of the NY Italian food charm to the Richmond area. We will for sure be back!“

“First time at Edo’s last night. There was a couple walking up the stairs in front of us as we went in, and when we got to the door, a waitress said “I need that cup” and yanked it out of the woman’s hand as she walked off. She was the same waitress that sat us, but not who took our order. The waitress who took our order was extremely rude almost the entire time. A couple of times she brought food out and put it on our table AS she’s walking by. I stopped her once, to ask if we could have our bread warmed as it was cold. She barely stopped as she said “no.” And continued walking. The waitresses were rude and made me feel so uncomfortable with their terrible attitudes. Atmosphere is a little cramped but it was fine. The food was AMAZING though. It was really hot, and the pasta portions were GENEROUS.“

We thought we would make a comparison: well, this place was head and shoulders above that famous area. In fact, I would say this is by far the best Italian restaurant in Richmond; better than Edo Squid; better than Dinamo; better than the famous, now closed, Mama Zu’s. Great wine selection , perfectly cooked food, delicious desert and all at a reasonable price. I have eaten at many Italian restaurants on the east coast and in Italy. “Found Dinamo quite by accident. A Richmond-centric publication mentioned Dinamo as an aside in relation to another restaurant that had since closed. When we discovered Dinamo was still open (later evening) we decided to give it a whirl. The whirling airplane prop in the front window indicated that, at the very least, things would be not boring. We were coming in towards the end of service and were nonetheless greeted with warmth. Firstly, the bread got me baking again. No small feat. They were out of the T-Bone, which is what both of us were aiming for, and recommended the chicken. I dont like chicken. This chicken was amazing. Im still thinking about the bread and the beans. “Had a lovely dinner with my niece before she heads off to college. My food (la principessa chicken and shrimp) was delicious, as was the broccoli. And the serving was generous-- enough to take half home for another night. My niece always gets, and enjoys, the Alfredo. Having lived in Italy for many years, would I say this was authentic Italian? Mine was close. Hers, not so much. I would have to return to try other options. The service was ok, nothing to write home about. I would have liked if the hostess had spoken to me in Italian, as I spoke to her. Sigh. The atmosphere, meh. Dark. Nothing particularly Italian about it. Wish they had played music in Italian like Andrea Bocelli. I will go back.“

“Look I've been to a lot of Olive Gardens in my life and I've had mediocre, great, and poor experiences. However, we genuinely had the best experience we've ever had a few days ago by our server Marcus.
Seriously, not once did we have to wait for anything. Refills, check-ups, appetizers, and the check were done with expedience and attention. Amazing personality & atmosphere brought to our table by him. Not only that, but he gave us extra soup and refills with our boxes!

“Wow! My first time at Anthony’s #2. I was welcomed by the manager (could have been the owner) and was told to sit wherever I want. The young man that served me had a fantastic attitude and did a great job. They started me with a hot, fresh baked roll and a salad. It was not a gourmet salad, but the lettuce was fresh and crisp with tomato, onions and green olives. Then the Chicken Parmesan came out over spaghetti with plenty of gravy ( yes, that is what grandpa Emilio called it) - two thick pieces of chicken. I had a glass of red wine and the bill WAS $24.00. This place is a 5 out of 5 stars for me.“

I had a gift card so decided to dine in on a Thursday evening.
All you can eat bread sticks, soup and salad.
Friendly staff. Too a long time for food to come out. But server was quick to refill drinks and replenish salad ans soup.
All in all I'd probably visit again.“
