Hangry Joe’s has a cool vibe, especially with the neat wall paintings, and the staff was kind. However, I ended up waiting over 25 minutes for my food, even though it wasn't busy. The portions were generous, which is a plus, but the seasoning on the chicken was pretty underwhelming – could definitely use more flavor. The atmosphere is nice, but the long wait and just okay food mean I can only go with 3 stars.
Hot Chicken is exactly as advertised. If you love Hot Chicken the spices on the fried chicken are hot. The sauce is good and has a sweetness to it. I like the coleslaw. My daughter had it on the sandwich and didn't prefer it. The loaded fries were mostly chicken and very few fries. The okra was good. Medium was spicy. They give good portions for the price.

Got the Hangry Hot wings. Crispy breaded and not wet wings. Different than what I've had in Nashville. 'Lip' spicy, not deep spicy. No waiver required as it stated on the website for the hottest. If you are any kind of seasoned hot sauce lover, this is not hot. It's decent, but not super hot.
