“The new manager/chef at Marigold's has knocked it out of the park! The meal was impeccably prepared, and every dish our group tried was exquisite, without exception. Service was attentive and gracious, reflecting the kind of training seen at only the very best of restaurants. I think Marigold has just jumped far ahead of any of the other local "best" restaurants. Along with the beautiful setting, this is the place to come for an amazing dining experience with unparalleled flavors and delights. I will be bringing many others back, and recommend it highly to anyone who wants to experience the best that today's chefs can offer.“

“This is a great restaurant to have delicious food. We ordered Qabuli Palow and Mixed Lamb and Chicken Kabob Combo. Both dishes were very tasty with good portion. The sides were good as well. We would absolutely come back if we are in the area. If you are visiting Shenandoah, drive a little more and get to this place to have food. We were very happy to see that the restaurant was full. I wish their business flourish more and they extend their space to cater more people. And hope they keep the chef who prepares such tasty food and ensure this passes on to the next chef as a skill.“

“What an incredible little restaurant. I still can’t believe we happened across it! My boyfriend and I live in DC and eat out quite frequently, and Tavola topped some Michelin star restaurants we’ve tried. We were blown away by the kindness and knowledge of the sommelier and staff, the generosity and talent of the kitchen, and the overall atmosphere and ambiance. Every dish was on point, every service mark was hit, and I could write paragraphs about the wine recommendations. I would rate it more than five stars if I could. Huge thank you to Clay, Caleb, Kendall and everyone else we met for making our night so memorable. If you’re thinking about opening another location I vote DC!“

The fact that other places are “booked solid” every night and this place has a table to spare is wild to me. “This was our first time here man was it good. Nice clean location and the service was great. So nice to walk into an actual pizza restaurant and get hit with the smells of pizza. Most of the places around here, just have pizza as an item on the menu, but not as the centerpiece. I ordered the side Caesar salad was delicious and the spinach and artichoke dip we ordered, was as well, but come on...8 little pieces of bread is not enough for all that dip. We ordered the house pizza to share and it was delicious. This is our new favorite Charlottesville pizza. Paper straws are trash…trash I say, and I will bring my own plastic straws next time.“

There are classic gelato flavors to choose from that sit alongside unique and really creative flavors for those who like to try new things! We also ordered custom gluten free & dairy free cupcakes for our baby shower that were absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Splendora's is a family favorite of ours. Definitely a small business to support!“

They have one of the best Veg fajitas . We ordered shrimp birria, which was also very good. They have a salsa bar to pick from for spice lovers! “My company has a weekly, company-paid lunch from the restaurants around town and we finally got it together enough to order from Rev Soup (we often have, but have recently grown to be big enough that planning with enough time to put in the order has become a bit more challenging). So this week, we ordered, I went to pick up, everything was great, and then I turned to leave with the order and TOOK OUT the top case of red wine stacked for display. Fortunately, there were only two bottles in that box and no one was in the splash zone. I stood there, stunned, as Nikki and the staff immediately sprang into cleanup action. I (of course) offered to cover the cost of the busted bottles, but was rebuffed. Nikki was just so kind (especially given my ridiculous lack of self awareness with a large order in my arms and it’s consequences, and therefore totally my fault). Of course, the food was excellent and exactly what everyone at work had hoped. Everyone should go forth and have Revolutionary Soup often, but watch out for the wine (or watch out for me anywhere near the wine)!!“

“I could not believe how expensive this place is. I know prices have gone up but this was ridiculous. The portions they give are very very small. Like using an extra small ice cream scoop. Would not recommend this place. It's a rip-off. The prices to get a waffle cone or one dipped in chocolate with sprinkles was half the price of ice cream. The amount of ice cream they give you would not fill up a waffle cone even with two scoops. My granddaughter went for a waffle cone with two scoops of ice cream and she ate half the cone before she got to the ice cream.“

“Every time I've been here the Bartenders have been insanely friendly. And the owner is a friend of my good friend Jackie and I only hear good things about her! I hope to be back sometime soon. 10/10 every time. Unsure if this is something already done. I didn't see a changing drink menu. But it'd be really awesome seeing a seasonal mezcal cocktail menu with the fruits of the season. Maybe just one a month or every few weeks. if this is something already done ignore me! I love this place and can't wait to come back. I recommend it to my friends all the time.“

“We had an amazing experience with Red Hub Catering. They provided our cocktail hour food, reception buffet, cutting cake, bartending service, and Sunday brunch. The food and service were impeccable. For bartending service, Red Hub provided the bar set up and mixers, but allowed us to provide our own alcohol which is uncommon among catering vendors. Red Hub generated a custom menu for our reception that consisted of a nacho bar for cocktail hour followed by a taco buffet for dinner. They also baked a beautiful cutting cake and delivered brunch to the lodge we were at the following morning for everyone to enjoy. Overall an incredible vendor who expertly provided us multiple wedding services.“

The food is consistently cooked well, and the menu has a lot for those of us with gluten allergies and those of us who are vegan/veg. We recommend the tatchos, plain tots, vlt, sweet potato fries, any soup of the day, the portobello sandwich, and the jackfruit bbq (though I haven’t had it in ages - next time!), and the brownie sundae (available gf&df!).
