“A friend and I meet at Theisman's restaurant for lunch quite often. I live in Alexandria and she lives in Warrenton so it's a great middle point. We both love the food and the hostesses and waitstaff are excellent. The atmosphere is nice.. the reason I gave it 4 stars is that the music in there was so loud. We decided to sit on the porch thinking it would be quieter and it was such a beautiful day... unfortunately the music was extremely loud out there too and seemed to increase in volume as we were out there for about 2 hours. I noticed a few other people were saying that it was so loud too. We should have said something to the hostess but we had not seen each other in awhile. Wonderful place, but people do want to be able to talk and hear each other. Hopefully, this will get to the right ears ?“

“Best birria tacos ever! Make sure you get the sides, rice, beans, esquiotes (elotes in a bowl). It was so good we got food to go to eat tomorrow. We live 60 miles away and unanimously agreed to come back here just for the food. They are getting a liquor license and will start serving drinks next week. I can't wait to return. Additional bonus, the staff was awesome, friendly, helpful, hospitable and the food came out quickly.“

“Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

“I had the black noodles, galbi and the spicy beef stew, and these dishes were outstanding. The galbi was perfectly marinated—sweet, savory, and grilled to tender perfection with just the right amount of char. Every bite was juicy and full of flavor.

The spicy beef stew (yukgaejang) was equally impressive. Rich, hearty, and packed with shredded beef, vegetables, and just the right level of heat. It had that deep, comforting flavor that warms you from the inside out. The broth was addictive, and the portion was generous.

Great service, cozy atmosphere, and authentic Korean flavors. This place is a must-visit for Korean food lovers! A great place for authentic, hearty Korean meal.“

The grilled octopus was tender and flavorful. We’ve sat both outside in the relaxing courtyard and inside the casual restaurant. This restaurant beats the food at Old Town’s Greek restaurants. “You have got to ask for Jay Kim, he is the best server in the house. He was patient and ever so helpful with us as first time hot potters. I had a vegetarian hot pot, well, except for the dumplings. Although they have no vegetarian options, he worked with me and provided me with an alternate option. It would be more awesome for them to add it to their menu tho for those of us who just love veggies. The broth is vegetarian based so it makes sense to have a vegetarian option along with it. We had a party of 8 and Jay Kim made it so much fun!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. One other option that would have been great to have would be fresh ginger at the sauce bar and mushrooms on the vegetable plate. We were all pleasantly pleased with our food. The ambiance is very nice, low light but more than enough to cook and enjoy each other's company. Jay Kim made sure we always had what we needed. The sauce bar was amazing, so many choices. I recommend making a few bowls, some for the broth and and some for dipping your cooked food. If you get any type of meat, also make a sauce to marinade the meat. You don't have to but it made a good difference. Meats are thinly sliced for quick cooking and again,so fresh. The price was worth the amount of food and the experience. There is an all you can eat option or an a la carte option where you just get one meat selection and a vegetable plate which was more than enough for us as a party of young ladies. This was a great first hot pot experience and I definitely recommend it, just make sure to ask for Jay Kim. I know you will enjoy it!!!“

The grilled clams are a must-try — smoky, juicy, and topped with a savory mix of scallions, peanuts, and buttery fish sauce. Fast, friendly service and a clean, welcoming space make it even better. “I truly can’t be more appreciative of Jay for going above and beyond for us! He came into work early to make what was probably the most delicious cheesecake my co-workers and I have ever tasted. It was absolutely perfect and made our birthday/good-bye/happy retirement celebration that much more special.

Not only was the cheesecake incredible, but the customer service was above and beyond in every way. Jay’s kindness, professionalism, and willingness to accommodate our request meant so much. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does.

“As a critic who professionally rates places I came here to relax after a long day. The atmosphere is very relaxing inside the building and my whole experience was very easy going. I had talked to a employee named “David” over the phone and he had made the process of ordering very easy. When I asked for specials he informed me of them right away.

When I came in he greeted me and simply asked me to sign a receipt. Once I did that he brought me my food and it was done at that. The food was phenomenal and I loved their pizza. I can’t wait to return to try more. Thank you Paisanos.“

“Lil Cow Cafe Bistro, located in Rolling Valley Shopping Center in Burke, offers a cozy, farmhouse-like atmosphere with large windows that flood the cafe with sunlight. It serves fresh, high-quality food, especially sandwiches, with a diverse menu, friendly staff, and charming fall decorations. We loved the large logo in the center. The coffee, brewed with La Colombe beans, was excellent—robust and not watered down.

We were delighted to find perfect sandwiches this morning. You can choose your bread from Whole Wheat, Soft White, Wrap, Sourdough, or Ciabatta. We highly recommend:
1. Southwest Wrap, containing grilled chicken, avocado, spinach, tomatoes, onions, provolone cheese, and Chipotle Aioli. All ingredients were fresh, tasty, and the sauce complemented everything nicely.
2. Gourmet Bacon Chicken Cheesesteak sandwich, made with grilled chicken breast, crispy bacon, and cheese on an Italian Hoagie roll, and served with French fries. The ingredients were fresh, the sauce excellent, and the bread light and not dense, resulting in a satisfying sandwich.“

The consistent quality and attention to detail is what makes this place great. I know what to expect so I’m always satisfied with my food from the fresh baked daily bread to the variety of Vietnamese classic soups such as pho, bun bo hue, and bun rieu 😋 10/10 highly recommend and bring a friend!“

“Solid korean street food. Dish is $13 which is crazy cheap but great food. You can order large variety of dishes and try sharing. Food also comes out pretty quick. The restaurant interior is shabby so not your usual date-night spot. But a quick and cheap decent korean street food.“

We always order the redbull roll and never gone wrong! We also order toro ( fatty tuna) sashimi because it just melt on the tongue like butter. It’s so fresh! The marbling on their Toro is majestic! I tried to look and eat for the same roll from other resto, and no one has beat kumo. The staff are always polite, kind, and energetic. If you’re ever in DMV, this is a must place to eat!“
