“Drove past this so many times. My son was craving a burger and my wife found this seeing the positive reviews. I went there Sunday and ordered 2 burgers and the chicken and lamb platter. Everything I ordered was full of flavor and worth the price. My son is picky and when he ate the burger he said it's the best burger he's had. Definitely going back. I would love for this truck to be at Montclair when they have food truck Fridays as well as any HOA events.“

The volunteer who took our order was super friendly and you could feel the passion as they spoke about the business and how their mission is to help the less fortunate. “This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“I enjoyed the chicken and lamb combo plate. It came with massive amounts of rice and a clay oven backed bread. Loved it. The atmosphere was 3 stars for me due to the crowdedness of the layout. Too many tables and hence too many people in an open area. Also took awhile to get our food. Paid over $20 per person.“

“Hey, I don’t usually eat fried chicken whatsoever, but when I entered Dave’s Hot Chicken in Fairfax VA, I was immediately greeted by a young little middle eastern boy who I believe was named Ikram. I was really having a bad day, so this energy really made me excited to be there and eat. Ordering with the little gigglemug boy Ikram really made me a happy cabbage. It was just the pang-wangle I need to brighten my day. I ordered a number 3 with medium spice, and might I tell you it was delightful, dare I say near perfection. This is all thanks to my little kadoova Ikram, he really did it special, even going out of his way to advertise me a special drink called a flash in fruit punch slushy. For this hot day, it really hit the spot. This experience at Dave’s was just a 10/10. The food and service was just amazing. Ikram was simply the bee’s knees, the cherry on top for this experience.to have such another amazing experience at a take out restaurant, it would compare to herding cats! “This was my first experience with this type of food, and it was good! Very filling, the single protein platter was more than I could eat in one sitting, and I'm a rather large eater. I would go back. However, I would say The Halal Guys are comparable to the Little Ceasars or Domino's of their place in the industry. If you want to play it safe with a commercialized version of Halal food, then this is it. Please don't take that as a negative, Little Ceasars has its place in the market & it's time for when necessary, and so does The Halal Guys.“

Location is clean, bright and inviting. Staff is friendly, helpful and chill. I got the 18 pc today, never had it. It’s the saucy chicken. Flavors I got were: Mike’s Hot Honey, Spicy Buffalo and Spicy BBQ. The hot honey tasted abysmal, I didn’t like it whatsoever but since it’s part of my total order I covered it in sauce and ate it but I will never go for that again. Either change the recipe (suggestion) or remove it but everything else was tasty. I normally get other menu items but I generally recommend Dave’s“

“The most delicious, authentic Indian food served by a most gracious gentleman. The Nan, of which there are several choices, was warm and buttery. The homemade cheese was exceptionally delicious. Another diner had butter chicken and was raving at how tender the chicken was. And the samosas were wonderful. Everything at our table was a 10 out of 10. Treat yourself, dine at this wonderful restaurant!“

But the flavor was almost sweet, salty, and spicy.. Hard to explain. Fries were great. Employees were all top notch, service was impressive. Only one bathroom though.“

What really stood out to us, beyond the food, was the genuine Yemeni hospitality. Ahmed and his colleagues were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating from beginning to end. Managing a large group is not always easy, especially on a busy Eid evening, but they made everything feel smooth and comfortable. They checked on us, made sure we had what we needed, and treated us with real care and warmth.

Food’s consistently good whether I’m grabbing lunch, dinner, or rolling in right before close after a long workday with this being my first meal of the day (more often than I’d like to admit, haha). “I’ve been coming here since 1999, and I must say, this place serves the best Kabob I’ve ever eaten. The food is delicious, and the sauces truly elevate the dish. “A genuine Pakistani cuisine, the food was fresh and appealing. However the place was super crowded and gave a look of any charity free dinner place. Customers pay for food and environment. Environment was terribly bad, as restaurant tries to host more than their capacity. Private family or friends seating was not available. You have to sit with general public, the long tables were arranged for everyone to sit with others. Prayers after iftar were hosted outside restaurant when temperatures were in negative. The prayers should have been inside the restaurant walls. A bad display for non believers, earning in one sitting was more important and rest everything was set a side. Bad!!@“

The chicken kabob boneless platter is tender and full of flavor. Our favorite kabob was the chicken with green chili skewer. The rice pudding was so on point we ordered an extra side to go.“
