“So definitely not what you expect outside looking in. The bar like atmosphere is very chill, from the music to the seating. Pick a comfy couch with a table or regular comfortable seats at a table (equally comfortable). The lighting low and all good vibes. The food was delicious we forgot to take pictures, but the kimchi pancake (kimchi jeon) the Korean fried chicken and the bulgolgi quesadilla were all delicious. We like Korean better than anything else so we had Krush with honey do soju aka (somaek) the two were great together. The staff was awesome, and very chill (if you need constant attention from your server this is not the place for you, honestly). We loved the service, food and drinks came out in a reasonable time. I also had the Hechi (cocktail) it was delicious. Ordering isn't them coming to ask but an electronic screen with the full menu with pictures so very easy to order. Overall an awesome experience and will definitely be back!!!“

“I recently visited Makchang Dodok K-BBQ, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. They made us feel right at home, walking us through the menu and offering helpful suggestions for first-timers. You can tell they really care about creating a great experience for their guests.
The service was fast and efficient without feeling rushed. Our server kept checking in to make sure everything was cooked to our liking and that our drinks and side dishes were always full. It’s rare to find such a friendly and professional team at a busy restaurant, and they truly stood out.
As for the food—delicious! The meats were fresh and flavorful, and the signature makchang (beef or pork intestine) was perfectly prepared with that satisfying char. If you’re a fan of authentic Korean BBQ, this place delivers both in taste and atmosphere.
Highly recommend for a casual night out, a group dinner, or anyone looking to try something new with excellent service to match. I’ll definitely be coming back!“

“I had a fantastic experience at Korean Grill! The food is absolutely delicious and tastes incredibly authentic. Their Jipgae was a standout dish—it was so good I'm still thinking about it.
The service was also top-notch. The staff, a group of very sweet ladies, were welcoming and attentive, which made the meal even more enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!“

“We've been to many, and this is the best Korean BBQ in the entire DMV. The food quality is so good and the service and atmosphere were above and beyond. They have extensive menu options outside of the KBBQ as well, which is something a lot of other places don't offer. The meats are quite pricy, which was the only downside, but the entree prices seemed fair. We can't wait to go back!“

“You can’t get better soup than from a place that specializes in it. The seollongtang had plenty of noodles and meat. The galbitang had a savory broth, lots of meat — great flavor all around. The haemul pajeon was crispy and stuffed with seafood.
The standout item was the kong-guksu. Dad had been craving it as it was a favorite of his in childhood. He has tried it at other places and wasn’t impressed. Here, he finished the whole thing and would’ve licked the bowl clean.
Note: the soups are under-salted so you can customize them to your liking. The salt containers on each table have enough salt to please any saltaholic.“

“Entrees are a $17 and up but the portions are big. It's a food court so I only tipped 10% but I guess you could also not tip. Pictures show 3 entrees but we got 4. Two of them were the bolgogi beef.
If we had gone to a restaurant then it would have cost more than $120 but here it was $80. My seafood ramen was good and huge. Husband enjoyed his katsua chicken and dad & son enjoyed their bulgogi rice bowls.
The food court was empty, but clean.“

“A lovely spot for a meal! ☺️
A tiny little building houses a cozy interior. The staff was friendly and sweet and the food came out quickly (and piping hot, which I love!!)
We got the fish cake soup, clam kalguksu, and banquet noodles. I especially recommend the banquet noodles: flavorful broth (even better with the sauce), lots of toppings, and overall very filling for cheap!“

“I can say this is one of my personal favorite to go, especially during summer when it’s so hot outside and I am craving for something to cool down.
Owners are very friendly and always greet you with smile. It’s a self-serve restaurant in a food court, but they answer your questions in a nice manner and appreciates you dining with them.
The food is so gooood. Cold buckwheat soba is a must-try here, especially during summer. There is a bowl of sauce that you mix wasabi and minced raddish, and you put buckwheat noodles into the sauce and eats it from there. Other buckwheat noodle dish are solid as well if you want something warm or hot to heat you up.
Over the summer, I go to this restaurant at least once a month, if not more. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants to eat healthy noodles with diverse flavor.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Incheon Nova, a modern fusion Korean cuisine restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! The culinary experience at Incheon Nova surpassed all my expectations with its delightful and delicious dishes, each infused with a touch of creativity. The flavors at Incheon Nova were simply explosive! From the moment I took my first bite, I was instantly transported to a world of culinary bliss. The combination of traditional Korean ingredients with innovative cooking techniques resulted in dishes that were not only unique but also incredibly tasty. It was evident Chef Ahn at Incheon Nova possess a true passion for his craft. The modern and stylish interior created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner for two or a celebratory gathering with friends, Incheon Nova offers a versatile space that caters to all occasions. “You have got to ask for Jay Kim, he is the best server in the house. He was patient and ever so helpful with us as first time hot potters. I had a vegetarian hot pot, well, except for the dumplings. Although they have no vegetarian options, he worked with me and provided me with an alternate option. It would be more awesome for them to add it to their menu tho for those of us who just love veggies. The broth is vegetarian based so it makes sense to have a vegetarian option along with it. We had a party of 8 and Jay Kim made it so much fun!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. One other option that would have been great to have would be fresh ginger at the sauce bar and mushrooms on the vegetable plate. We were all pleasantly pleased with our food. The ambiance is very nice, low light but more than enough to cook and enjoy each other's company. Jay Kim made sure we always had what we needed. The sauce bar was amazing, so many choices. I recommend making a few bowls, some for the broth and and some for dipping your cooked food. If you get any type of meat, also make a sauce to marinade the meat. You don't have to but it made a good difference. Meats are thinly sliced for quick cooking and again,so fresh. The price was worth the amount of food and the experience. There is an all you can eat option or an a la carte option where you just get one meat selection and a vegetable plate which was more than enough for us as a party of young ladies. This was a great first hot pot experience and I definitely recommend it, just make sure to ask for Jay Kim. I know you will enjoy it!!!“

“One of my favorite Korean restaurants in the DMV area.
The tofu soup was absolutely delicious — rich, comforting, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and it hits the spot every time. The side dishes were fresh and tasty, with a nice variety that complemented the meal perfectly. Their seafood pancake was delicious as well.
Fast service and a cozy atmosphere make this place an easy favorite.“

“Ive been coming to bar for the past 4 years and the reason I always come back is because the service/food is always consistent and amazing. “I have been to mane kbbq places around dmv. I do like oegadgib the most, for hte speed, authenticity and staff. The quality of meat is good for the all you can eat option. The main MVPs are the signature sauce dip and salad, those two elevate the experience of the kbbq“

“New Tosokjib focuses on traditional Korean fare, and the food js consistently good. The menu has a decent variety of options, and a couple of the stews and scallion seafood pancake are good. For non-spicy diners, recommend the samgaetang (chicken stew) and mandoo-kook (dumpling soup).
On the downside, the restaurant is really no frills. The service leaves much to be desired and is downright cold. Good luck asking for extra napkins. You will get a death stare along with a couple of kiddie napkins.“

“Reliable restaurant for authentic and good Korean food. We usually get marinated galbi and mul naeng myun (cold buckwheat noodles). You know a place is good when most the clientele is Korean lol. Prices are a bit high but that seems to be the trend everywhere post pandemic.“

“Great Korean spot! The army stew came in a huge portion — easily enough for 3–4 people to share. The pork katsu was a bit on the harsh side for my taste, but still decent. It’s a solid place for late-night eats, especially for night owls, but keep in mind that although they close at 2, the kitchen shuts down a little earlier.( Been there once around 11, was told their kitchen was closed) Overall, good food and worth checking out!“
““Karaoke, great drinks, and an excellent staff make this a great night destination for someone looking to have a good time with friends. The food is also great, presenting many exotic and delicious dishes, as well as the old classics. The place itself looks amazing, with a great night ambiance, complete with hanging lights and great music. And did I mention the super-fun karaoke?.–

“This was my first time at Sorak Garden. My mom picked it out. I ordered the Kimchi Jigae, my son ordered the japchae, and my mom ordered the Dolsot Bibim bap, We shared the fried mandu (dumplings). All the food, even the side dishes (banchan) were delicious. It tasted like my Mom's home cooking. The flavors were authentically Korean. It's sad that I had to leave MD to find a really great Korean restaurant, but I'm glad my mom took me here. The service was wonderful as well. The food didn't take long to come out, and they checked on us which I really appreciated. I believe the owner even came out to talk with us. It was a really great experience. I hope more people will come here to eat. I didn't take photos this time. But I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“This place is one of the most traditional Korean restaurants in this area. I grew up in Korea so I totally loved it. We ate 곱창전골 and it was so fresh and tasty. Not too much fat or MSG tasting in the food. If you want to experience traditional Korean food, this is the place!!! Will definitely go back to try all of their menus. Love it!!!!“
“This place is a FIVE stars for one simple reason, the food is incredible! Prices are more so reasonable for the portions too. The soups are made of broth, not water. The fried food is always white, not dark cause the oil changed and not just topped off. I never had any problem with the staff or service cause I treat them with respect. They can make any anything more or less spicy, just need to ask. They're always sanitizing when I visit.“

“I don't usually write reviews but I must say despite being a bit unassuming at first glance, this is one of the best meals I have had since moving to the DMV area almost a year ago.
