“First Watch is now our favorite breakfast place to go. It was really bad years ago as far as time to serve. It was so bad we would drive to the one in west end and still be done sooner. After they removed the manager and automated the ordering system, we now give it an A+.“

Please run to Eggspectation @ Stony Point for your next brunch outing. This place was a 10 out of 10. Everything we had was amazing. Let’s start with the Gooey Goose Bread it was hot, fresh, and the perfect sweetness. Its sweet buttery taste made it hard to stop eating. It kind of reminded me of the Texas Roadhouse rolls but better. I don’t know if it was the bread or their honey butter but it was a similar taste. The outside shell was crunchy but the inside was soft butter bread, and you can definitely it was freshly baked. It sits in a pool this maple buttery sauce that is sooo good. The server said it would be 10-15 minutes but it was definitely worth the he wait.

Next, let’s talk about the Shrimp and Grits. OMG!!! This tastes exactly like Shrimp and Grits supposed to taste. The grits were creamy, cheesy (cheese cooked into the grits), and seasoned. The actual grits were seasoned not just the sauce. And the grits were the perfect consistency for this dish. Not too thick but thick enough because the sauce that comes on shrimp and grits should loosen up the grits a little. The sauce was creamy but not too creamy with the perfect pepper and cajun seasoning. The sausage in the sauce was sliced as thin as a pepperoni, cut into pieces so it was sausage in every bite. The shrimp came with tail off which I prefer. It was layered and the presentation and perfect. You can could tell the cook takes pride in their work. The was one of the best shrimp and grits dishes I’ve had since being back home in the south (Gulf Coast).

We also had the Shrimp and Crab Omelet which was the perfect seafood duo with the perfect blend of seasonings. The egg/stuffing ratio was perfect.

The Orange Juice was freshly squeezed and you could definitely tell. I had a hot Salted Caramel Latte and it was so good, I finished it in like 5 minutes. Not too strong, could taste the salted caramel, and not too hot (that’s how I was able to finish it so quickly).

We went during the week and early afternoon so it was not busy at all. The service was great as the kitchen staff did awesome. So much so that I stopped one of the cooks as the came out to let them know. Shout out to Stanford and his team, they did awesome job with each dish. This place is MUST try. I’ll definitely be back.“

I have been traveling all day down to virginia for a friend's funeral, and Carrie made a hard day infinitely better. She genuinely seemed happy to be doing her job, and she was was wonderful and attentive not only with me, but with every customer in the restaurant. Thank you Carrie, for taking a sad, hungry, tired traveler, and reminding her that a great attitude and a friendly smile can make the world of difference. “My husband & I love a Waffle House! To this day, it remains so reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. The All-Star breakfast deal CANNOT be beat. By anywhere. 2 eggs, a meat of your choice, hashbrowns or grits, toast & a waffle for about $12.50.

We order from here at least 2 or 3 times a month. We get take out mostly. The food is easy to order online, prepared quickly and overall fairly well. I always get my eggs over light or over easy, sunny side up. You get it. Runny yolks. 9/10, my eggs are slightly runny but overcooked. Some of the yolk is cooked through. Over light is the least amount of work for an egg. You barley cook it lol but it's okay, because this place will always have a spot on my plate! I enjoy it every time. You can't compete & compare Waffle House, you just can't. 🥚🥓🧇“
