“Had a lovely dinner with my niece before she heads off to college. My food (la principessa chicken and shrimp) was delicious, as was the broccoli. And the serving was generous-- enough to take half home for another night. My niece always gets, and enjoys, the Alfredo. Having lived in Italy for many years, would I say this was authentic Italian? Mine was close. Hers, not so much. I would have to return to try other options. The service was ok, nothing to write home about. I would have liked if the hostess had spoken to me in Italian, as I spoke to her. Sigh. The atmosphere, meh. Dark. Nothing particularly Italian about it. Wish they had played music in Italian like Andrea Bocelli. I will go back.“

“We moved here from the SW corner of CT (Greater NYC area) in 2016 and I can't believe we took so long to find this place. My wife and I ordered 2 subs to go and they were delicious! I have not had bread this good since we moved here. (New England and NYC transplants know exactly what I mean) The cheesesteak was awesome. -1 star for the service but it will not stop us from returning, and often. I also noticed the native Virginians were having a real tough time with the authentic NYC Italian accents. (I am guessing Brooklyn?) While waiting on my order I couldn't help but think the NYC mob uses this restaurant to launder Chesterfield operational funds.“

“What can I say about Candela’s. This is a wonderful restaurant with family friendly staff and great food. I had the seafood Alfredo and my wife had a pepperoni pizza. Both we super fresh and great tasting. The portion size was enough to take some home and the amount of seafood inside dish was plentiful. The quick response to our orders was fast. We Sat, Ate and paid our check all less than an hour… We did go slightly before the dinner crowd, but the service was pretty quick. I highly recommend Candela’s on Robious road…“

“We had a great lunch today for our 10 year anniversary while the kids were in school! Excellent, fresh, Caesar salad, HUGE portions of calamari and our entrees were just as great (mushroom risotto and fish and chips). We had our first date when the place was a different restaurant here, haven't been in since the change, it was beautifully renovated! Thank you for the great food and staff!“
