“No-frills, Cafe V is run by kind people who efficiently make you your coffee. Enjoying more sweet drinks, I enjoyed the large honey cinnamon latte. Within minutes, it was ready at the bar on a Sunday morning. The space is very practical with plenty of tables. My latte was over $7, which seemed a little expensive, but everything is these days.“

“Coffee In is such a lovely little coffee shop! Very clean and cutely decorated. Love that they had a highchair for our baby. The coffee is tasty and they have a pretty wide selection to choose from. The waffles are AMAZING, as is their customer service. We really enjoy this place and so glad they opened. We will be returning :)“

“This is one of the best coffee shops in Alexandria. The staff is very considerate and friendly. The shop was very busy when I went there with my friends but still the two young ladies in the staff were very patient with us and helped us select the right coffee and dessert for us.“

“My new favorite Cafe. My cousin from California wanted to try a Cafe. I normally don't go to Cafes but stumbled across Hahu and I'm so glad we did. I have been there several times since then and have tried their breakfast, lunch, and desserts. I've also tried their matcha and coffee and everything have been excellent from the service to their food and drinks. They're Ethiopian dishes are amazing. I never had Ethiopian food but I love trying new foods and they did not disappoint. Even the American dishes are delicious. It's my new spot to just relax and enjoy some good food, drinks, and atmosphere. I highly recommend this Cafe, you won't be disappointed.“

“So, I just stumbled upon this adorable boba tea spot and let me tell you, it's the epitome of cute and convenient. You walk in, and there's this cool self kiosk thing where you can totally customize your drink – like, pick your tea, sweetness level, toppings, the whole shebang. Plus, the vibe inside is so cozy, you just wanna hang out there all day. Definitely a must-try if you're into boba or just looking for a chill spot to unwind!"“

“Sunday brunch shouldn’t be missed at Borek G, had a great spread of eggs, simit, dips and spreads. Also not to be missed are the Turkish coffee and tea, along with a piece of baklava for a sweet ending. Service is fantastic at this family owned resto and all the little details add up to a wonderful experience.“

“It has been a while since I last visited this location, but I can always rely on their flavorful and robust coffee, which makes it consistently perfect. The excellent service and the place's always well-maintained and tidy make it an ideal location to relax, sip coffee, or watch the surroundings through its window while I enjoy my coffee.“
“My daughter and I stopped by to see the cats while we were on vacation. Normally, an appointment is encouraged on the weekends, but we were able to go see the cats anyways! The cat room was beautiful! You can tell all of the cats are well taken care of and enjoy human interaction. I cannot recommend this place enough. Next time I am in town I will definitely have a drink and bite to eat as well!“

The avocado toast is the perfect portion size, I feel full and satisfied without being stuffed. The baked goods are delicious, and always fresh. The coffee drinks are exceptional, as well. The service is polite and quick. It's so awesome to see an interesting mix of customers enjoying an elevated, quick breakfast, and the incredible amount of take out orders this business handles.I love taking people from out of town here - everyone raves about how cute the cafe is, and how good everything was.“

“Check out the Arlington location for this coffee shop on first street. Buried in the middle of a pleasant and very green suburban neighborhood, La Coop is a great place to work inside or outside on wrought iron chairs in a quaint plaza. Worthy of note are the real comfortable chairs with padding either at the coffee bar or at your own individual table. You aren't bruising your fanny on hardwood like at a library. Hello upholstery! For those that want to bury themselves by the sugar and the (eco-friendly straws), there's a second little wooden coffee bar overlooking the window that looks out into the parking lot. I also like that you also don't have to beg for wifi. The password is provided on a nice little sign by the door with a happy face sign. Staff are super nice too.“

“I just discovered this place and I just love it! Amazing, healthy food options, nice selection of wines, vegan friendly options, and an amazing decor set up inside. They even have a really well rounded grocery section. Cheryl is so sweet! My first time around she was so kind and patient in answering my questions. That sort of kindness goes a long way. Definitely a new favorite - I'll be coming here for lunch breaks from now on!“

“I love it when an owner of a small business pays great attention to every complaint, feedback or concern conveyed by a customer.I used to live within walking distance to this place. I loved the atmosphere, the quality of coffee and baked goods and the general vibe of the shop. One time while I was placing an order at the cashier, I noticed the lady taking my order was treating me poorly and rolling her eyes when I changed my preference for a breakfast choice and finally threw the receipt on the counter for me to pick up. I understand people have bad days, but you can't be rude if working in the front-facing part of a popular coffee shop. I went back to my table in dismay, when I noticed that the barista by the coffee machine acted like she is the manager giving orders to the others on how to go about running their stations. So, I approached her and asked if she is indeed the manager, and she said she is actually the owner. I conveyed my complaint to her without pointing fingers and she immediately apologized and offered me a free pastry. She promised to improve the training and make sure no other customer gets this poor treatment.I RESPECT excellent customer service. Kudos to this place.“

“Old Town Alexandria can be a tourist trap if you don't know where to go or access to the local-"in crowd" on where to go. I myself would confess to being a zombie tourist if it were not for all the crowd-sourced reviews and convenient map search features. This long-winded review intro is meant to steer you off-the-beaten-path, away from touristy stuff, and see what little shops lurk in the edges off *streets of royalty* ( ahem, I meant look at what's out there beyond King Street, Prince Street, or Duke Street ).And in the case of Casa Rosada Gelato, you would literally walk pass it given recent construction that forces the relocated front entrance to be hidden deep off some loading bay alley (the pictures says it all). The alleyway is almost 25 paces off the main street and there are no signs except for some Casa Rosada icon on paper taped to a plywood board where the front entrance would be. Had to band up with a visiting family of 5 to go gelato hunting for the front entrance. It's especially scary at night and yet so fun too given how dark the entire surrounding intersection block is with no cars or people in sight. But the gelato is good - way better than the throw-back-themed ice cream chain shops that promise to top sweetened air-filled cream (ie. normal ice cream) with rainbow covered sugar that's meant to distract you from all the air you are buying in your ice cream. With most gelato classic flavors available, we opted to go 'off-the-beaten-path' theme and go for walnut and madeira wine gelato. Tasting both flavors mixed was a symphony of flavors I doubt you can find anywhere else in this Old Town.“

“I am visiting NOVA to house-sit for a friend while she’s on vacation, and needed a coffee ship while I’m here. I wanted to avoid the chains and go local. So I tried this one from a google search. INCREDIBLE. It’s so good and the bankers items are delicious. I have gone everyday since being here. They are very friendly and the line is long but moves very quickly. It’s just one of those fun little local things you have to try. I am hoping to move to DC in the next several months, and have this on my list of places to keep in my phone. 10/10!“

“Pleasant experience! A little cafe tucked in a corner of a shopping plaza. The employee greeted us with a smile as soon as we entered the cafe and answered questions we had about their special desserts...one of them was a delicious and crispy baklava. I tried the cardamom coffee, loved the spiced flavors combined with my baklava. Nice, quiet spot to have a relaxing morning with a smile on your face.“

“Really comforting ambiance and beautiful decor. We came on a regular Tuesday night and there were only two other groups in the cafe. Bingsoo was about $26 before tax and we thought it was a little pricey until they brought it out. Easily double or almost triple the size of bingsoos at other places and we had a hard time finishing it between two people!Black sesame bingsoo was creamy and had just the right amount of black sesame nuttiness. I'm a big fan of sesame and places usually don't add this much to their desserts, so I was pretty pleasantly surprised by how much sesame was in the bingsoo. Could have used more cornflakes but I can't complain.“

“I know rating the place 5 stars seems too good to be true, but I’ve been going to this donutchew since they opened last year and it’s really become one of my favorite places to go. The staff are super friendly and really care about the place, the food is super tasty and the drinks are my end of week treat after a long week of work. My personal favs are the mango and early grey donuts (when they have the early grey, they have some flavors on rotation every week). The tea is very tasty, black milk tea or the orange fruit tea are my go-tos, and the corn dogs hit the spot when you really need it. I’ve spent hours sitting in there and studying as I eat and drink, and I’ve never felt awkward even when I’m the only one in the store. Many outlets for laptops, always seating available. Very chill atmosphere to those looking for a small space to get some work done. I always take my friends here and recommend it to everyone!!“

“Very small homey, little restaurant, where everybody seemed to know everyone else. The waiters were all very nice and welcoming as well. It took a while for the food to come out and for the them to get us a check, but that's to be expected at such a small spot. I got the breakfast plate with a fish cake, potatoes, and scrambled eggs. The food wasn't amazing per se, but it was decent, and well cooked. I tried my mom's scrapple, and that was probably the best thing there. Overall, the restaurant had a very welcoming homey type vibe, and the food fit the restaurant.“

“Really great food - they have really yummy breakfast sandwiches which are always hot off the panini press. They have just really great baked goods too, beautiful cakes and cupcakes and then also traditional bakery items like croissants, cookies, etc - which are all insanely delicious. I think I've tried about everything from Buzz at this point and can say the food and coffee is fantastic. It's also a really great work environment so I come here to work from my laptop pretty often. “Whether you are a coffee connoisseur or just drinking for the caffeine, this place is perfect for you. They treat every customer like family and will take the time to ask you about your flavor profile and what time of coffee you typically like and then they proceed to provide you with an amazing coffee experience with the most delicious pour overs to espresso based drinks you've ever had. Watching them work is an added plus. They pay so much attention to each step of the process from when they freshly grind your beans to when they pull your shot or make your pour over, you can see them deep in thought; fully engaged in the process. They are constantly rotating their beans, bringing in award winning specialty coffee beans from all over the world. “Gathering Grounds has some nice coffee. I would personally recommend their hot coffee drinks, because whatever milk for the latte has a nice steaminess to it, hence the latte. The iced coffees are also pretty good, but I personally prefer the hot coffees more. The chocolate croissant is pretty good, and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I also like the ginger tea from here. If I had a suggestion, however, it would be to offer more options for sandwiches or wraps the way Starbucks does. Maybe some turkey bacon, or chicken.Servers are nice, but I do wish that they had more seating as the place can get easily cramped, but when they are available, I really enjoy the lounge chairs.“

“Drove up to try their Nitro brew. Solid pour and look but the coffee lacks any real flavor. I drink my coffee black and enjoy a strong cup of coffee. “Stopped by here with my sister and ordered a pork and cheese popusa and the Guatemalan style steak, which came with Pico, avocado, rice, beans, 2 tortillas, and a cheese whose name eludes me but was delicious. Everything was fantastic. The portions were generous, the tortillas were made in house and delicious, and the steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. All together, it was about $20 which was a bargain for the quantity and quality. Our waitress was super sweet and the atmosphere is great. I will be coming back. “It's a bubble tea place, not much else to say. Practically speaking I believe it to be the best in the area, and also one of the better deals too. The shopping center it's in gets busy at all hours so sometimes parking can be annoying, but I've never not found a spot.“

“As I am writing this review I had to check to make sure this was the correct location. They definitely deserve better than a 3.5 rating! If anyone remembers they used to be here a couple years ago and then had a rebuild to what they are now.It wasn't very memorable then but NOW this is a well run establishment. Every employee is nice and I've never had to wait long for hot and fresh food. Even during busy hours I can only remember 1 instance my food wasn't correct and honestly it wasn't that big of a deal because it was a free 6 piece from my points and instead I recieved a 4. Lol I'm surely not going to complain about free food! The other time, my fiance ordered a large fry and it was a tad crunchy dry, they hopped on it so quick and fixed it! There's not many instances of them fixing problems as they usually get it right the first time! I haven't frequented another location in over a year!I don't know if management reads this but in the drive through, service inside, and pick up (as a dasher & customer) they really do make my life easier!I can't help but give them their props ? please keep up the excellent work and know it is super refreshing to see smiling faces. Thank You!I am truly happy for this edition in our area! Again, I can't possibly see why they'd have a score less than a 4.5 as they are really attentive and great at customer service! If you're super loyal to a different local location I'd take a chance and give this branch a try, it's worth it! ?Also, the rumor about the fries is true! The days of shoving fries down your face before they get cold are OVER. I find myself often dropping in to use my app and get any size fry for $1.19. I was surprised by the flavor and retention. They taste better and last longer than Wendy's who claims to have a new method for keeping their fries warm.(Brace yourself I'm getting ready to brag about thier tea ?)Also, thier sweet Tea TASTES like sweet tea. Yet another reason to give this location a try. It's not too sweet but you're definitely not wondering where the sugar is which leaves you with a pleasant drinking experience. What most branches don't realize is this gives customers the OPTION to request 1/2 sweet- 1/2 unsweet if they want a partially sweetened tea. This is how it used to taste back in the day when they (McD's in general) had Styrofoam cups. I haven't found a branch in the area who can rival with the way they make their tea!Oh yeah the cookies! There have been multiple occasions where I have ordered cookies and I was asked to pull into a drive through wait area. (If you are asked to do this, please DON'T get frustrated. Think of it like a fast food VIP ? ? You are likely going to be met with some of the Hottest fresh FOOD you can get here). Then after about 2 or 4 minutes a nice employee strolls out and informs me to be careful the cookies are hot and very soft ?. The last time I got them they were layed out on a big breakfast tray beautifully. As i write this I realize it sounds as if I am talking abot a fine dining establishment and promise I'm not making this up. They are just really good here and I ENJOY coming here not as a "I'm hungry and i just need food choice" , but as a "Hmmm let's get some fast food tonight and we pick here."It reminds me of when I was younger and McDonalds was a treat. Ok, I'm done ranting and raving.Just try it! Lol“
