My daughter always gets a sweet little macaron on top of whatever she chooses. It’s such a great spot to grab a great scoop (or two!) of ice cream.“

“We stopped here based on a friends recommendation and he was spot on. Staff were friendly and attentive! The atmosphere is really cool with hanging sound dampeners with plants as well. The Bar is huge with a great selection. We ordered the pork rind nachos.. oh Yum. They came out crackling and popping with pulled pork and spicy jalapeños and cheese sauce. My Dinner was their Crab cakes - deliciousness light and fluffy and oh the Brussel sprouts with the pork belly were Great! The wife had a short rib appetizer for her dinner and it was fall apart yummy. Her Mac and cheese was great too - it was the heaviest Mac n cheese I have ever had. The our son got the Shrimp and Grits. He said they were great and the grits were really cheesy too. Thank you for a great dining experience! We shall return when we are down this way again.“

The star of my meal were the pork tacos , the marinade was amazing! The side of plantains had some sea salt and were cooked to perfection , I like the ends a little burnt !
What made the atmosphere was our incredible waitress ALONDRA. She was very pleasant , answered all our questions , and she had a deep knowledge of the menu which helped us decide what to order. “This place is amazing. Last week, I ordered one of their bowls and took home ramen for my husband. He loved it so much that we went back this weekend. Even the kids ate the food (manic and cheese and plain ramen noodles), which almost never happens. The staff was super accommodating with our requests to adjust the order for the kiddos. “Nice brewery! Had two beers while here; a Czech style and Italian style Pilsner. Both were enjoyable for their style with the Czech style being the better of the two. The one downsize is the Czech style came out a smidge warm; first time here so I’ll give them a pass since the Italian style was the proper temp. Also ordered a double smash burger and fries. Burger was definitely charred but that didn’t take away my enjoyment of it, and the fries were great with a quality seasoning. Nice mojo and friendly staff. I’ll definitely be back for hopefully a colder Czech style Pilsner.“

I even prefer it over Health Ade, Forage, Rowdy Mermaid and Dr. Brew (I’ve tried a bunch). The décor is rustically charming.
In a world with too many beers that are hop-monsters or ABV queens, Richbrau's beer offerings are stunningly balanced. Whether their style of beer is to your liking or not (it is definitely to mine), you will respect the products. They make interesting beer. If I lived in closer than 100 miles, this would be a regular joint for me.

The DDH Dapper Thief DIPA is on my short list of most interesting beers I have had all year.“

All I want for my birthday is some of the delicious pub grub from The Cask Cafe, and a growler or two of selections from the world’s (and Richmond’s) greatest brews. Unfortunately, this will be via touch-free curbside pickup. I’d much rather sit at the bar and chat about the role of diacetyl in English pub bitters, or the varieties of Bohemian or Moravian hops available in commercial Czech lagers...but not this year. The cask is Richmond’s best bar for real beer afficionados, IMHO. DAN MOUER“
