“I don't usually give 5-star reviews but this one had everything going for it. Not from this town so we just happened to stop by. It is a small family-owned Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was casual and friendly and we felt very welcome. The owner was walking around checking on things and making sure customers were happy. The waitress was very nice and kept everything filled and even served our pizza. Now the food... we had a half cheese half meat lovers pizza, chicken picata, chicken marsala, and lobster ravioli. The pink sauce and house sauce were phenomenal. Food was hot. Pizza had great flavor, even in the crust. Everything was just on point. Recommend giving it a chance!“

Juicy, tender chunks of steak cooked to perfection topped with avocado, cheese, and garlic cilantro sauce.The burger which comes with a piece of grilled chicken and ham on top of a beef patty may sound weird but I promise you it is worth trying. The burger is juicy and the chicken and ham add even more flavor and make this burger one of a kind.The place is easy to pass at night if you don't know what to look for.You'll notice a white building with strings of lights when driving on Mountain road.Staff super friendly as well. “Easily the best BBQ I’ve had in quite some time. The brisket was melt in your mouth and the sauces (I tried all of them) complimented the meat so well. Can’t wait to go back and try the ribs. The table next to us ordered them and said they were top notch. We also had a large group with 6 children under 6 yo and ate in their dining room. Owner and staff took great care of us. “First let me say that I lived in Europe for two years and have had quite a few amazing croissants...but nothing like this place. The chocolate almond croissant from Sub Rosa is the best one I've ever had..period. Also, the ham and cheese croissant and the tart was incredible. We heard about how fast they sell out so we ordered a few days ahead of our trip. I'd recommend doing the same if you want to guarantee you'll get what you want. Seriously, if you find yourself down here, plan to make a stop, you will not be disappointed.“
“SO many great flavors to choose from; roasted strawberry will spoil you on regular strawberry ice cream forever! The cannoli ice cream(with mini cannoli shell) was excellent. Tables were ginormous - so we shared with someone and still had plenty of room to lay out a board game we brought with us. Honestly, this is a great spot to just hangout + drink - we didn't try the food, but looks like you can order from a little automated kiosk in the back to make it easy! Plenty of indoor seating with an accessible ramp and a few tables on the patio if the weather was better. Appreciated the bartenders recommendations on what to try as a first-timer. My Tres Hombres was huge, I ate 1/2 and took the other half (it was delicious microwaved the following day as a leftover).The sauce was excellent, and the bbq moist, tender, and flavorful. “The food is delicious and very flavorful. The portions may be a little small depending on what you order, so be sure to ask about that. The "las costras" items are delightful, as are the tacos.It's tricky sometimes to get a table, but they have a lovely patio area and the vibe in general is very nice. Highly recommend putting in a reservation in advance if you can.Also, parking can be kind of tricky. We usually have to park on the street in front and there is a 2 hour time limit if you come before 6pm on certain days. There could be other places to park that we simply haven't found yet.All in all, highly recommend!“

“Ardent is my favorite brewery in Virginia. I love Pilsners and lagers and Ardent brews some of the best. I feel like most breweries concentrate on IPAs but Ardent provides a nice mix of all, so all types of beer drinkers should be satisfied. It's a great space to hangout whether you are inside or outside, there's plenty of seating options. All the staff is friendly and attentive, it must be a great working environment as a lot of the staff have been there for many years. There's plenty of food options as well as Ardent has a nice menu of sandwiches, salads and appetizers. Also within the same parking lot you have Eazzy Burger and ZZQ BBQ which are top notch! You can pickup beer to go and they also provide delivery options as well.Visit the Barrel Room around the corner for some of their beers while watching comedy or singing along with karaoke night.Fun, food and great beers. Run by very pleasant people, and they make some "killer" 'za.I've tried a regular pepperoni pie here, and also the philly steak pizza. Both great. But the Sicilian pie is where it's at. Their Fuego shot was recommended so I did try that along with their Costa Smoothie.The Fuego shot wasn’t as ginger heavy as I was personally looking for. It was more pepper to me, which speaks to the pepper that’s in it. So if you’re ok with that then it may be for you!The Costa smoothie is good. It’s a great blend between the mango , pineapple and strawberry fruits. The star of the show is the mango. So if you like mango, with a a trail of pineapple and a sweet linger from the strawberries this is your smoothie. I will say the Apple Juice that in it is a tad too much for me but not enough to take away from the other elements. If you’re looking for a thick smoothie.
