“We had an incredible dining experience at Kyojin Sushi in Georgetown. From start to finish, everything was top notch.

The atmosphere is chic and intimate, with a modern bar setup that makes you want to linger. Our server, Somvilav was attentive, friendly, and helped guide us through the menu without ever rushing us.
Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Highlights for us were:
- Butter Garlic Miso Scallops – rich, delicate, and perfectly seared with just the right touch of garlic.
- Yellowtail Belly Nigiri – melt-in-your-mouth fresh with clean, balanced flavor.

“We had never tried Afghani food before, and I am so glad we did. The staff was so friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They recommended the Mini Taste of Arocostia for our first time. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! The food was cooked perfectly. The service was great! We never had to ask to have our beverages filled up, because they were already on top of it before we had to ask. They packed all our leftovers into boxes for us for our way home. We will definitely be going back!“

“Awesome spot!! Food was very good! We got the brussel sprouts, Mac & Cheese with bacon, tots, Reuben and the Jalapeño burger. I wish the Mac & Cheese had that cheesy gooey ness to it but that’s a personal preference. It was still super good and we ate the whole thing.
The beer list was extensive! I stuck to their Sour selection and dang they were all so good! My friend had a few different drinks but the one that stuck out was the Peach Cider. It tasted like you legit just bit into a Peach!
The whole staff were welcoming and friendly. The bartender, Joe, (I hope I remembered his name correctly) was great!“

Absolutely loved this place! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, inviting, and super fun — perfect for both family gatherings and catching up with friends. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, walking us through the menu and making sure we had everything we needed.

The shabu shabu was top-notch — fresh ingredients, high-quality meats, and rich, flavorful broths. They had a great selection of veggies, sauces, and dipping options that let everyone at the table customize their meal just the way they liked it. We especially loved the wagyu and the spicy miso broth — so good!

The restaurant was clean, well-lit, and had a great energy without being too loud. Plenty of space for groups, and the table setup made it really easy to enjoy the cooking experience together.

“In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. “Sat at the sushi bar, so had dinner and a show. The show was good, the dinner was great. Yume is in an interesting space, open with lots of windows, a high ceiling, and very high energy, read LOUD. This is not your sedate, high-end, reverent sushi restaurant, but a vibrant lively place, which doesn't mean the sushi is in any way inferior. Even at the sushi bar the ordering is through a waitress/waiter not directly with the sushi chefs. That was a slight disappointment, having no interaction with the chefs, but perhaps to be expected with the size of the crowd that was there on Friday night. We ordered in stages because, this being the first time, we did not know how much would be enough. In the end what we ordered was just right. The service was paced just right, never rushed but available when needed. The baby octopus salad was bright and citrusy, and slightly chewy, in a good way. The simple nigiri in the Sushi Dinner, 10 pieces, were very fresh and tasty. The special nigiri we had, Otoro, was imaginative and excellent - wasabi and truffle make a great pairing and the bit of caviar was just the right touch. The Yume roll was top flight, spicy but, to coin a phrase, not too spicy, and the fish did shine through. We will definitely be going back.“

Everything was flavorful and well prepared, though I have to say the Coconut Cream Pie edges out the Key Lime for me in terms of dessert. “I recently visited The Naked Lunch in Fairfax and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional customer service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming.

I especially want to highlight one of the customer service representatives they did a really great job. Unlike the location on 5566 Randolph Rd, Rockville, MD, where the staff aren’t very friendly or knowledgeable, this Fairfax location is completely different. The team here clearly takes pride in what they do and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere for every guest.
