“It’s been two years since I’ve been back here and I ordered the same lovely cranberry salad with warm goat cheese on top. The difference in two years was that the goat cheese was 1/4 of the original size. It made me sad. Servers were great. Outdoor location was wonderful. Food was just so so.“

It helps to either have reservations or selecting a time that isn’t as busy because it’s so popular. My family and I have been eating there for over a year and been back many times. We love the bada bing shrimp for our appetizer. And my favorite personal entrée is the spicy seafood. Here’s a picture of it with a wide ribbon noodle maybeI weither tagliatelle or papardele. Just incredible. Homemade fresh pasta. Five stars out of five for sure.“

“Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

“Clifton Cafe is our new favorite evening spot on the weekends. We’ve been customers since the original owners opened it years ago, but until this past fall we did more to go orders than dine in since the service and time to prep food was often slow and unpredictable. Now we go almost every week. We’ve noticed big improvements since they expanded their kitchen and redesigned the bar area. Their new pull up bar is beautiful and spacious. The new owners and management are great too! We love the evening staff as well, especially Ian and Nicole. They are very personable, accommodating, and attentive. They have great happy hour specials from 3-6 and make the best margaritas and espresso martinis. Some of our favorite dinner items include the crab dip, Mediterranean salad, cuban sandwich, burgers, crab cakes, quiche specials, banana pudding, and too many crepes to name! We also appreciate that they have become more family friendly. We had a last minute party of 14 on a Friday evening (half of which were children ages 1-11) and they didn’t hesitate to pull some tables together in a private nook to accommodate our large group (again thanks to Ian and Nicole). We noticed they finally got a changing table in the large bathroom, which they are about to install. Our kids are past that stage, but there were several times when they were little that a changing table would have been helpful.“

It is simply the best unagi domburi I have ever had in the DC area.

It was $30, but the portion size was generous and it came with several small sides such as Japanese pickles and seaweed salad. I'm glad I didn't buy an appetizer, or I wouldn't have been able to eat it all.“

“Saturday night 45 minutes before closing and restaurant was packed. First time trying and we thought it was pretty good pho - probably only second to Pho 75. The staff is very nice and cordial, and you can tell there are a lot of repeat/ familiar customers here.
Only downside is the price - very expensive for a bowl of pho.“

“Despite being a smaller restaurant, the atmosphere was very calm and welcoming. The owner/manager was very courteous and helpful, as he made excellent suggestions for my meal. The service was quick and efficient. The calamari was perfectly fried, crispy and delicious, and the pho was outstanding. From the time I make reservations through walking through the front door of the restaurant, the service, the managers, the chef, the food, to serving the BEST ITALIAN CUISINE SINCE ITALY, and cleanliness in the restrooms. Look, I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where there are some of the best Italian restaurants on the East Coast but those restaurants do not compare to my Maggiano’s. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. The cuisine inside this Maggiano’s tastes exactly like my Italian grandparent’s cooked it. I frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. The Honey Butter Crispy Sandwich had a simple presentation but was full of flavor. Hubby paired it with a tasty bowl of Black beans and Rice. My Island Snapper was perfectly delicious-- colorfully put together with fresh mangoes, red onions and avocado, plus a generous portion of well seasoned snapper over a bed of white rice surrounded by a decadent lime sauce. For dessert, we shared the Flaming Pineapple Butter Cake. Again, just wow! The table side rum flambe was a great ending to our lunch. We enjoyed our Island Snapper so much that we ordered 2 more to take home for our dinner from our great server Logan.“

“This has been our go to spot since we’ve moved here, when we have family visit we always make sure to bring them here and everyone has loved the food! Service has always been great until our most recent visit, our server gave my spouse an incredibly disgusted look when he ordered his tacos with shredded cheese on them (I know I know it’s not traditional) I was waiting for the server to make a joke about it like most do but instead my spouse received the rudest facial expression. Again, we love the food and have never had any negative experience before but that really rubbed me the wrong way.“
