“This was my second time dining at S & G.

The first visit caught me off guard, in a very good way, so I came back with the intention of sitting down and reviewing the food.

I ordered the breakfast sampler, which came with crispy pork bacon, greasy pork sausage, perfectly salty pork ham, fried eggs (done however you like), and a side of hashbrowns that are worth dying for (though you can choose from a variety of sides). The whole plate hit that comforting, real American diner balance: salty, crispy, and soft in all the right places.

But the real standout was the French toast. Thick and dense, yet still soft, it soaked up the syrup beautifully and somehow kept tasting better with each bite. It was piled with strawberries and bananas, and the smell was something else, sweet fruit, powdered sugar, and syrup blending into the bitter aroma of black coffee and the rich, salty scent of the meats.

The coffee was absolutely invigorating.

S & G doesn’t rely on looks, but it captures exactly what a breakfast diner is meant to be.

“Nice flavors and properly prepared (Moms dish - chicken & broccoli). I had the Bi Bem Bop. Flavors were good. I do prefer the more traditional hot bowl to crisp the rice with other ingredients hot. But this was still a nice BBB.“

“Today was good at IHOP! Arrived for an early breakfast - 7:30am. The atmosphere was warm, quiet and non- bussling lol.
Shout out to the Cook/Chef for those amazing cheddar cheesy eggs! I always get the Split Decision all bacon. It was more tasty this time around. Also, want to shout out, David, the waiter, who was attentive and did not leave me waiting.

“Great food and service we were at the Woodbridge Virginia location celebrating the end of our daughter radiation therapy treatment and we had Amanda as a waitress wonderful service and then they congratulated us and didn't charged us for the full meal. Not about the money but we still have love ❤ out there.“

“Despite being a smaller restaurant, the atmosphere was very calm and welcoming. The owner/manager was very courteous and helpful, as he made excellent suggestions for my meal. The service was quick and efficient. The calamari was perfectly fried, crispy and delicious, and the pho was outstanding. “Wow! This place was really good. We typically don't like chain restaurants. However, this Bahama Breeze surprised us. The Honey Butter Crispy Sandwich had a simple presentation but was full of flavor. Hubby paired it with a tasty bowl of Black beans and Rice. My Island Snapper was perfectly delicious-- colorfully put together with fresh mangoes, red onions and avocado, plus a generous portion of well seasoned snapper over a bed of white rice surrounded by a decadent lime sauce. For dessert, we shared the Flaming Pineapple Butter Cake. Again, just wow! The table side rum flambe was a great ending to our lunch. We enjoyed our Island Snapper so much that we ordered 2 more to take home for our dinner from our great server Logan.“

This restaurant is classy the service is incredible and I dream of the Lamb Ravioli. A beautiful selection of wine and italian brews! The atmosphere is comfortable, clean restaurant, friendly and fast service, and the unique thing about this restaurant is EVERY item you order is drop-dead delicious!!!! “I work from home and like to take my work out to lunch with me occasionally. I've landed here a few times. My last couple of visits have been noticably different. The people and the service have been spectacular. Friendly, fun and professional. I have honestly felt as if I was just popping in to the neighborhood pub. Exactly the vibe I look for. I found out they have new owners or managers? Not totally sure which or if it's both, but if you haven't been in a while, I would recommend a revisit. Super Sweet.“

“This restaurant is definitely the best-kept secret in Woodbridge! We came once, and have never stopped coming. I came with a friend, and returned with my sons, and came back with my niece. I have eaten many South Asian cuisines, and none compares to this one. I can eat here all week and come back for the weekend. It's hard to decide on the best-tasting food here. The Rice Briyani is the best I've ever had anywhere. The lamb curry is so yummy! The chic peas are unbelievable delicious - melts in your mouth, we had to order extra to go after eating in! If you try the crab balls, you won't stop eating it. And the somosas - wow! Not to talk about the hot-fresh and fluffy naan! The menu is vast, and it doesn't matter what you order, it's finger-licking delicious. Plus the price is great, and the service wonderful! Anyone who goes there needs to salute the chef - he's cooking up "AMAZING"! WE WILL BE BACK!“

However Sampan is closed on Mondays (currently) and I was at Pitkins so I stopped in and ordered the General Tso Chicken lunch special takeout (currently $10.75 with tax). “Red Robin has the most down to earth staff. I asked for their fry seasoning for my boyfriends birthday and without question the manager stopped what she was doing (decorating for Mother's Day) and wrapped it in the cutest bag with little things for our son to play with as well. “A very cozy Vietnamese restaurant. I ordered a take-out Banh Mi with pork. The flavor and ratio of meat to fillings is perfect. The pork tastes really good, very tender and clearly marinated well. The only negative was the ratio of filling to bread. The bread is just a bit thick compared to the amount of filling, could maybe benefit from scraping the innards of the bread a bit before adding the fillings. I'd definitely get it again though!“
