“Just went tonight and grabbed 2 chicken platters to go with my fiancé. The employees were wonderful. Beyond kind and personable. The food I don’t have words for. I didn’t take a photo due to being over excited but the portions are more than fair for what you pay. The hot sauce is VERY hot for me personally but I like it. The salata that comes with the entree is so fresh and tasty. The chicken is perfectly cooked - tender and seasoned deliciously. Even the rice is a masterpiece. We also highly recommend the pakora chips! They’re crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the outside, seasoned, and made fresh to order. We were even told by the staff that we were welcome to sit and make ourselves comfortable while we waited for the chips since they are made to order but our food was done so fast we barely had a chance to! We’re not done eating but we’ve already agreed this will be our Saturday night go to. For 2 people getting 2 platters and a side of pakora chips it was just $30. You’d spend more per person getting dinner from any other restaurant around.“

As fans of Persian cuisine and frequent shoppers at Yekta Market in Rockville— having recently tried our hand at making Persian dishes like Fesenjan at home— coupled with all of the culinary accolades— we had high expectations for JOON. It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

“Best kabobs I’ve ever had! Very juicy with the right spices! Recommend the Aleppo Steak and Meat Lovers. The Kirby Salad with yoghurt ranch dressing was fresh and creamy while the falafel was moist and yummy. Topped off all this with a slice of apricot pound cake which melted in my mouth. Accompanied with spicy cocktails, the Mirage and the Zaartini, the meal could not have been better!“

“Is the best Mexican food i ever tried. I used to eat from cava 3 or 2 time a week. I dont like to Cook sometimes so cava the first choice come to my mind and in the same time its healthy and they have multiple things to chose to eat. “I have gone twice and both times have been amazing. There is a good variety of flavorful food to choose from. I love the chicken kabobs. They are so good and juicy. But my favorite is the rice. I'm not familiar with all the names but every type I've tried has been good. On top of the great food is the friendly and welcoming staff. This is some of the best kabob I've had in the area. And to have a buffet lunch is a dream come true.“

I ordered a mint and Turkish coffee to start with the intention of ordering lamb. When the sheep came, I was surprised in an interesting way by the presentation of the dish. The sheep is butter, soft, and cooked in the literal sense and looks exactly the same as it did in the menu, bones and all.“

“We love Mezeh restaurants, so when visiting Tysons for the day we stopped into this one. It’s actually connected to the mall via Bloomingdale’s.

Service was great, helpful, and friendly. The selection was excellent and all items were fresh and appealing looking. Their chicken kabob was really nicely done and tender! That shuug sauce was spicy, but flavorful!

“It is a great restaurant, high quality Greek food. They said my entrée, the lamb gyro, had double protein, but that was not true. It had way too much bread and fried potatoes. Quality of the squid, lamb, beans, and pasticitio was epic. Loved the salad too, but would have liked more Tzatziki. I had to ask for my water to be refilled a few times. Brining one of those bottles or carafes of water to the table that some restaurants do would be a better fit for the restaurant.“

Just a heads up if you chose a signature plate they will make it without any additional inquiries. I thought I was being ignored after suggesting it but she was speeding along and I was an idiot assuming the worst.

Utensils are near the entrance doors along with napkins, grabs one since they aren't placed in the bag for to gos, or at least not for mine.“

“This food is delicious! I’m so glad I tried a sample - I was truly pleasantly surprised. The quality is amazing especially for a food court meal. Everything was really well seasoned and it still felt healthy. The customer service was great too. I would definitely go back and have this again… I’m so glad I didn’t get a burger or a sandwich which was my original plan.“
