We were asked to leave at closing time and again 2 minutes after... I know closing means to leave, however, as someone with years in the customer service industry including fast food, we were taught to put our customers first so it creates loyalty and repeat business. Star Bucks tends to treat customers like dollar signs and nothing more. Other establishments at-least allow 10 to 15 minutes if it's needed since they are doing closing procedures anyway.
