“I love the vibe of this place. It's a chill atmosphere with wine, pizza, and picnic tables. My fiancé and I ordered a cheese pizza, and a red sparkling wine based on their helpful suggestion. I really enjoyed the wine. My thoughts on the pizza are as follows. The crust was outstanding. The owner of this place apparently worked at the famous Tartine Bakery and that is reflected in the crust. It tastes more like a crusty mild sourdough loaf than a traditional pizza. The wheat flavors from the high extraction or whole wheat they are using in the dough are present but not overpowering. In the realm of pizza this is definitely a slower bake cooked in their Baker's pride gas oven. My guess is about 10 minutes. What you get a very crispy verging on cracker like consistency in the crust. I prefer a little more delicacy and lightness from a faster high temp bake, but it was still delicious. I was slightly less enthralled with sauce and the cheese combination. The cheese is classic Grande low-moisture mozzarella, no complaints there. Based on the cans I saw the sauce is a DOP San Marzano tomato. It was on the acidic side, and that combined with the tangy Grande cheese did not complement each other very well. I would prefer a naturally sweeter tomato sauce. I also would have liked a little more sauce. All that said, it is still great pizza, and I would be a regular here if I didn't make my own pizza.“
“1st time visiting so I didn't know what to expect. Dined in, but the restaurant is more of a pick up / delivery spot with only a couple of high top tables inside. The pizza menu is creative with quite a selection of specialty pizzas, subs, and other items. Took a few minutes to decide because of the number of choices. Everything we had was fresh tasting and the pizza crust was a really good thin crust. The staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful with suggestions. “Thank you to the Lilly Pad for your exceptional service. We were floating up to Rocketts Landing from Anchor Point Marina for the lighted boat parade and running late. We needed pizza for our hungry tummies so we pulled up to the dock and they came right out. Got us our pizza and we were back on our way in no time! And that pizza was sooooo good! “By far the best Italian food we've found. There are so many in the area, but this Giovanni's is the best. I love their pizza, and last night we had the pesto tortellini and it was so creamy and flavorful. My husband had minestrone soup and said it was the best he's ever had. Portion sizes were very generous and service was incredible. With all the staffing issues so many restaurants have had lately, we had no issues with waiting at all and everyone was so friendly. 5 stars all around“

“While Tarrant's uninspired menu is dated and its front of house somewhat disheveled (notably the floor manager), Tarrant's crew worked seamlessly as a unit throughout our service. On a busy Saturday night we were greeted and seated, the floor manager brought serviceware, our server arrived promptly after for our beverage order and the manager returned in a few minutes with our wine. Before we knew it our food order was taken and soups & bread appeared. Another server bussed our finished delicious Crab Bisque (forgive the "She Crabby Soup" menu listing) and in no time yet another server ran our entrees. Very impressive. My generous by the glass New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc was very good and paired perfectly with an excellent Chicken Picatta which was plated exactly(!) like the review photo courtesy of another reviewer ~9 months ago (whom I must thank for influencing my entree selection).I suspect some menu discretion is required, but I cannot help but give Tarrant's 5 stars (minus half a star for unleveled tables and the remains of a previous diner's salad under our table that greased my sole).“

“I don't usually give 5-star reviews but this one had everything going for it. Not from this town so we just happened to stop by. It is a small family-owned Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was casual and friendly and we felt very welcome. The owner was walking around checking on things and making sure customers were happy. The waitress was very nice and kept everything filled and even served our pizza. Now the food... we had a half cheese half meat lovers pizza, chicken picata, chicken marsala, and lobster ravioli. The pink sauce and house sauce were phenomenal. Food was hot. Pizza had great flavor, even in the crust. Everything was just on point. Recommend giving it a chance!“

“I moved here 3 days ago from Miami and have been hearing about this spot since before I got here. Long story short, I ordered delivery during a long evening of unpacking. My rescue dog has refused to eat for three days during this move and I hadn’t eaten much as a result - stress is a killer. I ordered delivery late on a weekday night with a few minor modifications, but the one that took the cake was asking for bacon on the side, trying to entice my pup to eat. The delivery came with a 5 star hotel side of bacon labeled ‘for doggo.’ They didn’t know my dog hadn’t eaten for 3 days. Or that I’m crying from worry and exhaustion. They just gave him bacon. And me pizza. And we ate. And all is now right or at least fixable. And it will forever be my welcome pizza and the best meal my dog has ever had. Thank you.“

“Went there for dinner with friends at 5:00 pm today. Once everyone is there and had our drink orders it took about twenty minutes for server to return to take meal order. 4 meals were brought pretty soon but the 5 th meal was about 20 mins later. Was not anything special and should have been along with the other dinners. Employees or Owners children were in a booth at the bar side eating area and at times were very loud. Loud to the point of startling us at times. Could be the reason for the lite inhouse trade. Good for takeout, not so much for dining in.“

“I do not live in town and called on a Friday to see if the restaurant could accommodate a group of 45 the next evening. They said they were able to do so. On Saturday morning, the owner called to verify all of the details and tell us they would be ready. We showed up a little early and they were ready for us. They were so great in getting everyone's orders in a timely manner and keeping up with all the food that the group of teenagers kept ordering! We highly recommend Mimmo's and will come back the next time we are in town.“

The teriyaki wings are a MUST Have! A lot can be inferred by the cleanliness of the restroom of any business, especially a restaurant. The women’s restroom here was spotless and smelled so pleasant that I searched for the air freshener, but soon discovered … there wasn’t one! They maintain their restrooms that well! WOW! That’s a rarity! I’m so glad to have discovered this jewel. Hats off to the management and staff! It was a flawless experience, also a rarity. We will be back very soon!“
