“I did not know there was a DPO in Staunton! We have always loved the one in Lynchburg and thought it would be a nice lunch while we were in town. I got the Smothered Chicken, my wife got a Steak. Both were so juicy and flavorful and cooked to perfection (the second time). With only the one hiccup of wrongly prepared meat, the cook, our server, and the manager immediately fixed it and offered us some compensation. I have rarely ever received such gracious, cheerful, and inviting service in any restaurant. This crew made me WANT to drive 3 hours again for a meal. Awesome job!Parking: Small lot outside does not fit seating capacity. There is a large lot just down the hill (1.25/hr) or if you are lucky you might find a free 2hr space nearby.Kid-friendliness: Family atmosphere, very friendly cheerful staff. Large paper covering the table and crayons for kids and adults alike to let their creativity flow! The best ones make the wall!“
“This is the only good country breakfast place in the Staunton neighborhood other than Cracker Barrel. This restaurant has typical Retro looks from the restaurants in 90's. You will love it. The servers were very nice. Service was great. The omelette was fluffy and quite delicious. The sausage links were great too. The only thing I was disappointed with were the pancakes. It was freshly made, but the taste was not up to the mark. “Love this place! The food is consistent & always delicious. The employees are always consistent & seem happy to be working there, (like a family) They always have the place decorated very cute for the different holidays. (Recently Valentines Day) The one place that I think they can improve is the women's restroom. I can't speak to the men's, but the women's always had a terrible odor. It's not dirty, but it doesn't seem clean either. “
“The other night we went to Red lobster they were so busy that our waitress did not have a whole lot of time to do things for us she had too many tables to tend to they need it more staff that night because they were packed but other than that that was an amazing place to eat the food was out of this “

“This place was absolutely amazing! There was not a single dish we ordered that we did not like. The food was big portions and reasonable prices for the portions! The drinks were just as big and reasonable prices! The service and atmosphere was amazing as well.We highly recommend this restaurant! We were please! Glad to have some great seafood locally !“
“Stopped here for lunch after a wonderful hike at the Blue Ridge Tunnel Trail. Not easy to spot this from the road, but fortunately we had planned ahead and wanted to come here. We were very pleased with the food and service. Would highly recommend. Only regret is that it was just a bit too cold to sit outside.“
“Delicious well prepared food with outstanding service. Fried haddock was perfectly prepared, catfish was spicy but delicious, and my daughter devoured the lobster Mac n cheese. Would recommend to anyone with seafood itch when visiting this charming downtown. And, they do outdoor streets closed dining on weekends. Might be back to visit just to experience that!“
