“This is the best restaurant in the area. Yes they’re fancier places, more expensive places, but this is my favorite. El agave is a very small chain. I love all of the food I’ve ever had here. Each time down you receive salsa and chips, and they are so delicious. The salsa is so fresh, and the chips come out hot and crispy.
Service is always excellent, the food comes out quickly and efficiently. I guess my favorite dish is probably fajitas. I got chicken topped with chorizo last time I was there, it was excellent.
I make it a point to stop here every time I’m in the area !!“

“A perfect place to have a party! Natalie was a wonderful event planner, our server was amazing (I wish I could recall his name), and the food and beer were delicious! The whole establishment was beautifully decorated for the holidays and there was live music throughout the day and night.“

“Stopped for a treat on Sunday. I got the last egg and cheese on a biscuit and hubby had a tuna salad sandwich and a blueberry muffin. Two coffees, fresh brewed. We sat at a table in the window and enjoyed watching folks come and go, inside and out.“

“Excellent experience! The restaurant and bathrooms were clean and tastefully decorated, all waitstaff and managers were friendly and kind, and the food was perfect. Ingredients were fresh, flavors were bold and authentic, selection was great. We will be back soon!“

“A true hidden gem! The staff are warm and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Loved that you can build your own charcuterie boxes such a fun and tasty option. Definitely recommend trying the Rosé of Merlot, it pairs beautifully.“

“We are so grateful to have Vint Hill Craft Winery in our "backyard." My family loves the historic atmosphere along with the wonderful crew and fabulous wine, created by Mark! Since we are members, we go often to enjoy our $5 glass and play card games outside with our girls. It's a great opportunity to be with family but also enjoy some wonderful local wines. To top it off, they throw in some great events ranging from firepit Friday's (seasonal), wine makers events, and special events such as their recent Veterans Day Dinner. This event was amazing to attend! We started with some bubbly and then went into a four course dinner, catered by Pampas Fox, which was paired with some of their greatest wines. This event was perfectly done and such a wonderful way to honor those that serve or have served. If you've never been or haven't been in a while, make sure you stop in to enjoy some friendly faces and fabulous vino! Cheers!“

“We recently had our wedding at this beautiful location. We had been here a few times before and loved the beautiful scenery, good food, and good drinks. When we decided to get married within 3 weeks, this was the first location that came to mind. It's about an hour outside of DC, so it was convenient for our guests.
Christina answered the inquiry and immediately got to work. She saw our vision and with such short notice, it was executed perfectly. Christina is kind, professional, and damn good at what she does. From helping decorate the cake, manage the 5year old flower girls, and being a DJ, us and our guests were so impressed! Christina, thank you again for making this so special for us.
The rest of the staff was amazing and kind. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The catering was amazing, and the selection of beer and wine is perfect, as there is something for everyone. Thank you again to this wonderful business. We are so happy to have had our special day close to home so we can visit easily and make more memories.

“We arrived at the Red Horse Tavern when outside patio seating was crowded with a 45-minute wait but inside we were greeted by a young man and given our choice of three tables in a small room to the right. We were waited on very quickly for drinks and food arrived timely. I couldn't believe how good the Irish burger and salad was, and my wife's Salmon was excellent. Our friends raved about their burgers with sweet potato and regular fries. Great servers made the whole experience relaxing. We felt special even though the room was full within ten minutes when we sat down. We definitely will return, and the prices are fantastic!“

“Charming historic home in beautiful Hunt Country. Couples out for a casual night and expected superb food and service. Service was as expected, polite, pleasant and timely. Malbec was perfect. Foods ordered: Pot Pie, Risotto, Seared Trout and Steak Frites. The pot pie was flavorful but the coconut was unexpected - if the description had included coconut, we would have made another choice. The risootto was an ugly, baby-foodish glob on a plate. No discernable risotto could be found and the sensation in the mouth was as bad as the plate looked. Mushy, unappetizing. The blackened trout was well prepared and flavorful. Steak frites were tasty, but meat not trimmed well and some gristle made pieces unedible. The fries that accompanied were end pieces from potatoes, leftover from mashed potatoe prep? The prices were high, common for this area. Servings were plentiful but the food quality left us with "glad we went but won't go back".“

“Top notch! is not the first time I have been to the Gold Cup but every time leaves wanting to come back over and over again. The food is exquisit, the service is an A+ and of course the atmosphere is great. We asked about the kitchen staff because the sushi was so good. Javier Alvarado within the chef team had a hand in it so I needed to congratulate him. And Samuel was a great server, so attentive, fast and courteous. I hope to see them again at the Gold Cup.“

“Don’t get the razzle-dazzle large do to them putting in a small cup. Some time you may get the right size cup do to that you have two different prices one for small and one for large. Very up setting when you know what size cup you are supposed to get and know the difference. Especially when you go there all the time and you’re a regular customer and you spend over $30 or more in your ice cream products. Bad business to cheat your customers. There is know Excuse for this. I have been waiting days now to talk with the manager but they seem not will to talk about any problems you may have. That’s even so sad. I will not be going there no more .“

“My family and I have dined here on a few occasions because of the great atmosphere and quality of food, but were recently blown away by the hospitality & kindness shown using this venue for my sister’s surprise engagement.
From the courteousness and generosity of the owner, Sal, prior to the event to the excellent customer service and attentiveness shown for our large party by the manager & wait staff, this restaurant has customers in us for a lifetime! It was so refreshing to see how much they prioritized making sure we had a fantastic experience.
