The gentleman behind the counter handled the situation so well. He turned our day around and wouldn’t even take payment for our food. I go back now as much as I’m in the area, and it’s consistently wonderful. The food is delicious. Despite being attached to the busy mall, it’s always clean and accommodating. “I recently visited this restaurant and it was an amazing experience the manaesh was fresh flavorful and baked perfectly soft inside with a delicious crispy edge. The Mediterranean dishes were also excellent especially the hummus falafel and grilled meats Everything tasted homemade and authentic

“We were worried getting out of a late meeting and we didn’t think we would be able to find a really good meal with it being after 9pm. We were wrong! We followed our GPS to this restaurant and the place was so welcoming. They let us sample before we decided on our meals and everything we tried was delicious and most importantly FRESH! To get a meal THIS good at this time of night blew us away! We will be coming back and will be using their catering option as well for a summer birthday party! Please try and return for another ! I stopped by randomly after driving by and seeing bright lights in an empty parking lot at 8/9PM on a Wednesday night. Only thing I didn't like -- absolutely BLARING loud music (drake) that I could barely hear the guy taking the order and he could barely hear me either. It was obstructive. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! The food was cooked perfectly. The service was great! We never had to ask to have our beverages filled up, because they were already on top of it before we had to ask. “This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“These are my Afghans so I don’t wanna ruin their reputation. But just giving my personal review. I have been to this restaurant 3-4 times now. Previous visits was good so kept coming. But my most recent visit they got one of the orders wrong so they had to send it back. Took too long. We almost cancel that one because everyone else was almost finished with their food and the food didn’t come almost 30-40 minutes. Also, this time I found a little bit of hair and I just wanted to inform them about it and they didn’t seem to apologize or offer a new plate or anything. They just said all of our people wear head coverings when I brought up that I found hair. From then on out, I lost my appetite. I usually order the ice cream as well, but my appetite was ruined.“

“This was my first experience with this type of food, and it was good! Very filling, the single protein platter was more than I could eat in one sitting, and I'm a rather large eater. I would go back. However, I would say The Halal Guys are comparable to the Little Ceasars or Domino's of their place in the industry. If you want to play it safe with a commercialized version of Halal food, then this is it. Please don't take that as a negative, Little Ceasars has its place in the market & it's time for when necessary, and so does The Halal Guys.“

“I came to Arlington for a business trip from Atlanta. I've been to the Ballston Food Court several times since I visit frequently. First time at Hal & Als and I ordered the brisket sandwich. the cashier who I assume is the owner was telling me about who he learned to make ribs from down in Atlanta. he was so hospitable too. he asked me to let him know what I thought. I completely forgot. everything was great. halal BBQ is a little different but it blew me away. I'll def revisit when I'm in Arlington again.“

Steven was friendly and welcoming, taking time to walk us through the menu and explain the specialties. The chicken sliders and the fries were delicious. Generous portions and great value.

We also loved the atmosphere especially the local murals featuring Leesburg Pike, which gave it a fun community vibe. Everything felt clean, lively, and well put together.
