“My first time in a Potbelly and Terell was very patient and professional. He explained the process and menu items to me. He even checked the ripened avocado 🥑 for me before I could decide. The place was clean, and there were plenty of reserves parking for patrons that I love since it is by the highway in the busy city side.
The soup was hot and delicious 😋 and tasted like a pot pie, not chicken noodles soup!
The sandwich was toasted to perfection. Thank you for a great first experience.“

“The Sandwich Shop is awesome! I’ve had every sandwich a few times, and some dozens of times. They are all great. And the fries are the best! But if you don’t want fries, get the cheesy bacon tater tots! You can’t go wrong. This is a real gem in Vienna.“

“First off, the staff are friendly, professional, and very helpful! They’re patient and always ready with great suggestions. If you can’t decide, you can even sample the chicken salads. They also checked in to make sure the food was to your enjoyment. The environment is upbeat and spotless — even the bathrooms are clean!

Now, on to the food! Everything is delicious 😋. The daily soups are savory and warm you right to the core. I had the Classic Carol on toasted wheat, and it did not disappoint! The prices are fair for the amount and quality of food you get. The food walls served very quickly, less than 5 minutes from ordering to get to your table! Highly recommend!

“They only have one vegan option, but it’s very good. The tofu is juicy and herby - guessing they marinated it. The sauce and vegetables are great. Bread really isn’t appropriate for a “banh mi” but still tastes good. Wish it were a little cheaper ($13 with tax) but that’s Arlington I guess.“

“Best sandwich I’ve ever had. I got the turkey and Brie. You can see the cranberry sauce/relish brewing right there in a big stainless steel pot on the stove right behind the cashier. Everything was warm and melty and delicious.

“Subway is a go to staple of mine. Today due to many factors I needed to buy lunch and was on 123. I saw this subway and pulled in. First off they greeted me as I entered. Nice touch. The store was adequately staffed and turning sandwiches fast. Everyone was friendly and professional. I ordered the subway club which is thankfully back on the menu. When I started eating my sandwich the first thing I noticed was the roll. This was much better then any subway I have been to. The roll had a nice crust and was soft and fluffy on the inside like it should be. All the ingredients tasted fresh and I have never been happier with a sandwich from subway in all the years I have been going (20+) Great crew at this location.“

So trying a new establishment I was overwhelmed and worried about my order. Everyone that was behind the line was friendly and working diligently to help customers as a line began forming when I was midway through ordering. My attendant, Andre, went above and beyond to offer the best customer service at a fast pace, all whilst encouraging his fellow workers! The ONLY complaint I have is that it was really hot in the store, I wanted to rag in but the heat forced me to eat in the car instead. I hope they get that fixed soon. She asked about our day, since it was our first time she recommended us some good food that was really good and she was so servicing with us. Food is made to order and absolutely delicious, located on the first level of the business complex, and well worth the drive if you are close! Prices are reasonable and portions are perfect. The chili sauce that they put on some of their items is to die for, worth every penny!

Vegetarian options: Anything can be made vegetarian and will also cook food with different cooking utensils if for allergy or religious beliefs.

“The reviews recently had me worried, but since I remember this place fondly back from when it first opened in Bethesda, I gave it a try upon my return.

The sandwiches are expensive, but high quality. Yes the staff mostly ignore you unless you indicate that you want their attention, b/c there are kiosks for you to order at. They do seem to be quick to make the order, and show attention to cleanliness.

The amount of food for the price seems entirely standard - the attached pictures are of a whole Surfside but this is only half of the Broad Street (after I ate the other half:-).

Parking: standard for Bethesda - this is meant for walkability not parking
