“Ate here Thursday the 10th, food was tasty. The parking was confusing as there were signs all over of the risk of being towed. Asked someone in parking lot how the restaurant is. They stated very rustic but food is good. Our server Lindsey was awesome. Choice of beer on tap was mostly IPAs, not our favorites. Not many Craft beers available. I got the DB Vienna Lager which is always a good fall back when there's nothing else. The IPA my partner had was your typical grapefruity bitter IPA, not good. We ordered a dozen Clams Casino which were made to perfection! And we shared the Blackened Tuna cooked medium served on a roll. Yummy. It came with a little cup of wasabi a little too intense for our taste buds so we asked for tartar sauce instead. This came with a generous amount of Hush Puppies with butter on the side. I have never been offered butter with my Hush Puppies but I will be asking for it this way from now on, delish. Staff was very accommodating and friendly.“

“My family and I were on vacation looking for some pizza. Came across this place and so glad we did. The food and service were fantastic. Got to love a restaurant when a general manager comes by checking on your table. She even gave my 4 years her own pink apron to wear why eating pizza. My daughter’s pizza was huge and cook just right for a kid, not over done and a little chewy. Our pizza was out of this world. The pepperoni and sausage were so tasty. The wood fire oven gives the pizza this awesome crust. You can’t go wrong trying anything at this place. Soooo good.“

Our bartender was fantastic and so helpful and explained the menu as well as being open to any questions. I don’t like regular pizza but I do love a white pizza. Being from New York, I’m very skeptical when it comes to pizza, but this is the closest that I have found in New York Pizza! Their portions are so large, we always get 2 to 3 meals out of any pasta dish we ordered & the staff is super friendly. Everything that we have tried is so good from even the bacon cheese fries to the mozzarella sticks to the chicken Parmesan, the pizza, all of it. I highly recommend going here. Their location is small and they’re busy so don’t go in a rush and be patient, it’s worth any wait.“

An unexpected gem after spending a little time at Chick‘s Beach with the family… Was not expecting the excellence we got from the moment we walked in. The staff was quick to greet, and very friendly. The atmosphere was really lovely, nice low, but perfectly sufficient lighting, a lovely patio with hanging lights and the back of the restaurant overlooks the water and a lovely little walking bridge, beautiful stonework bar, with a superb whiskey selection, though I was in the mood for beer last night… Our server, Natalie, was incredibly warm and helpful, offered to let me to taste some of the beer on tap, which led to me purchasing a pint of one of the most deliciously creamy raspberry wheat beers I’ve ever had. She recommended the pizza rustica, and I, as a chef of 13 years, was skeptical that it would be as good as it was, but yet again, perfection. There was literally nothing wrong, I tried a bite of each of my family members’ food as well because I do that... It was all excellent, the “avocado and IPA bacon grilled cheese” my daughter ordered was my second favorite after the pizza. Just a fantastic spot. Worth a trip out to Virginia Beach for dinner from anywhere else in Hampton Rose, even without a prerequisite beach trip.“

“My husband and I stopped by on our way home. We've driven past multiple times, but since we were hungry this time, we figured we could try their pizza. We came in around 2pm and it was pretty quiet, which was nice. Our server Katie grabbed our drinks, took our orders, and was polite and friendly. The fried pickles tasted fresh, briny, and delicious. The pizza was good with a very tasty crust and tomatoey sauce. The cheese and pepperoni were good. I probably wouldn't order sausage on our pizza again as it didn't taste like Italian sausage, but almost tasted like breakfast sausage, being too sweet. The only downside to our meal was the group of servers standing around to loudly gossip in the hallway right next to the dining room. And the group of children that came running out of the game room in the back rattled the entire room, sending our table and booth to shaking. “Aldo’s is my absolute favorite restaurant! I am a very picky eater. My husband, (boyfriend at the time) , took me to Aldo’s on one of our first dates in 1990. If he was trying to impress me..it worked! Jim, the owner, has been there since the beginning and he is amazing! He has treated us like gold for 34 years now! He has sent wine and dessert over on our anniversary, compliments of the restaurant! He always asks us how everything was and of course, it’s always perfect! I have never had an issue. The atmosphere is incredible, very romantic and relaxing. There is live piano and the wait staff are top notch. Jim only hires the best! They have authentic Italian food that has so much flavor and there is nothing like it! I highly recommend Aldo’s for fine dining and just an overall fabulous experience!“

“I visited this establishment today 2/10/23 for the first time. The environment is inviting , friendly. The pizza was a bit disappointing paper thin pizza , very dry and crust not cooked thoroughly and not fresh. The taste was good but not enough cheese. I will return for a second time hoping it’s a better experience and maybe it’s better to order a fresh pie and just bring it home with me. Over all I give it 5/10 with room for improvement.“

Didn't have time for the Chicago-style thick crust this trip but the thin crust was definitely on point and the sausage they use was some of the best we've ever had on a pizza. “This is more of a review on the location rather than the pizza. I'm not a huge fan of pizza hut, but my kids like it. I have found this store to be extremely friendly, the pizza is consistent, and i have never had to wait past the expected time for food.Its the predictable taste of pizza hut so if that is your thing, then thats your thing. If you're like "i wanna try some local pizza" there are other options. As far as expectations, price, and speed of order you get what you get from here.“

We ordered cheese slices for the kids and a veggie pizza for the adults. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. “Aslin is fantastic IF you visit early on a weekday! The beer is great, the cocktails are top-notch, the food is delicious, and the vibes are as good as the staff! There are also tons of seating options. 5 stars for everything the brewery can control!

I recommend steering clear on weekends, unless your idea of a good time is reliving a chaotic children’s birthday party. There are more kids here than at any playground (30-40+ the last few fri/sat nights), running around, screaming, throwing gravel, playing on the stairs, and treating the place like a jungle gym.

“I moved from Kempsville to Birdneck in February 2024, I found South Beach Pizza and I have since ordered only from them because they are reliable, all the food they advertise is as good as it looks on the menu. Since then, they have been the backbone of good Italian pizza and pasta, etc. around the upcoming events at the Sportsplex and the new “Pavilion” Center.
