“Review is for the new PUPATELLA off Slater's Lane in Alexandria VA. It's in my neighborhood so we walked. Noticed limited # spot parking lot, minimal if any street parking. Went on opening day around 1145 am; got seated right away but servers were largely absent throughout stay. Took ~10 min for someone to show up to take our drink order and food order. Seasonal specials on the menu but not actually available to order yet. Went with soft drinks, margarita pizza, and brussels sprouts app. Food was fabulous and served quickly. No server appeared to check on us or to refill drinks; I believe the marketing manager ended up checking on us and helped out. Also no server to bring bill so we closed the tab at their point of sale system. Decor is plain; hopefully they will add some art to the walls at some point. Two unisex bathrooms were clean. Very narrow pathway to get to them past the indoor seating and the bar seating. Large folks and wheelchairs will struggle to navigate to the bathrooms. The usable space inside the narrow building is limited so not sure if this is a fixable issue. Patio seating is a mix of low tables and high tables/chairs, assortment of non-adjustable small umbrellas to block sun, looked like they could be moved around. Clearly dog-friendly, I saw at least three water bowls in use or available to use. Saw a lot of vehicle traffic on Slater's, but did not hear the traffic on Slater's or the GW parkway. Most tables inside and out were occupied; the music over the speakers and the ambient patron noise was loud enough to drown out traffic. There is an access road and line of trees between the restaurant and GW parkway which helps to minimize the traffic view. Food was worth another visit, though you should give them time to upskill their servers and perhaps hire more servers. Given the parking issue and the limited seating inside and out, I suspect this location is more suited for walking locals and carry-out than travelling diners. This location isn't really suited to be a destination dining experience.”

“Was in Springfield today and wanted to grab something different for dinner. I’m happy that I stopped Village chicken. If you’ve never been here I would definitely stop and give it a try. We got the chicken, souvlaki bowl and lamb Gyro and a shredded chicken bowl. They were are absolutely amazing! We will be visiting again soon!”

“Our family has always loved Ledo's! This past week I placed a pickup order as SYC Cheer was doing a fundraiser with Ledo's. I ended up staying to chat with families and the new owner. Walked away with some amazing food and a caterer for our next big cheer adventure, cheering at the Navy game! Who would have thought a conversation about our upcoming performance would lead to Ledo's catering our tailgate on November 7 th!”

“Ok so I thought my husband was exaggerating when he said “Every single time I go to this location, esp very late at night, the food is ALWAYS hot and fresh!” Thought I’d try tonight. It’s a 12:30am and he’s right. Fresh hot fries and fresh hamburger. I’m pleasantly surprised, esp since the Mcd’s in Burke, much closer to my house, can’t even give you hot fresh food during lunch time. Although this is further away, when I’m craving Mcd’s-esp late at night- I’ll def come here.”

“Always great food no matter when we go! And service is usually on point. After the first year of hype, we've never had a problem doing a walk-in and being seated without waiting more than five-ish minutes. However, I'd still recommend doing a reservation because you can pick your dining experience that way since Ellie Bird certainly has 4 zones of vibe. There is the bar, which has the most attentive service and I actually prefer it on weeknights, but it bumps into the waiting area and they don't really separate the two, so we've had weekend patrons reach between us while dining to order drinks while they wait for a table. The front dining room is buzzy, on theme, and what you probably are expecting if you haven't been here yet, but frequently need a reservation to get seated here. The kitchen counter seating is an interesting experience if you've never done something like that, but each time we've been there, the service has not been as attentative as the other zones. Finally there is the back dining room, which is where you are likely to get seated as a walk-in, especially on a relatively busy night. Don't fret, the food and service are just as good as the front room, but the ambiance is totally different. It feels like a lower tier restaurant back there.”

“Delicious and authentic Turkish food. The server, Housein, was very hospitable. I loved the Turkish baklava as it was served warm. All dishes were prepared by Housein’s mom. One can tell she sprinkled her dishes with love and lots of flavour. My favourite dish I tried this time is the chickpeas dish. I highly recommend it. We will visit again for sure.
