“Delicious and plenty of choices for vegetarians because of the options available. The service is great. It is pleasant but quite chilly. Bring a sweater,”

“This location has THE best cheesesteak out of any other location. They actually use real beef, not the steakum garbage. And the cashier in the front was fantastic. Really nice guy with tattoos. I didn’t catch his name.”

“I have been coming to this location every day, for the last 6 years! I absolutely ADORE the baristas! They always go above and beyond, and they treat my kids like family! I went there tonight with a flyer of a missing girl #findjholie and not only did they let me put it on their board, front and center, they offered their sincere concern! Thank you, Starbucks! You set the bar for all other Starbucks’!”

“Probably the best McDonalds I've been too. I always order via the kiosk and whereas the other local McDonalds gives an insulting amount of sauce, this one gives a good amount. In addition, I have had great customer service experience from them in the past. The fact that they are open 24/7 also really helps since my job keeps very late hours and I am too tired to cook sometimes.”

“First time to this chipotle as we are not from the area. Contrary to some of the recent reviews I see here, I and my family had a good experience. The food was fresh and worth the money.”

“I cannot recommend this place enough! The atmosphere is fantastic, the food is delicious and the staff is superb. Our entire experience was something special. My father had the table side carbonara, my husband had the braised short rib lasagna and I had the famous chicken parmigiana ala vodka. The staff paid attention to our every need and made this dining experience so enjoyable. Next time we are in the area we will be sure to come back.”

“Very satisfied on my first visit to Ellie Bird. We came for Brunch for my wife’s birthday. The staff were all very attentive and many wished her a happy birthday as they welcomed us in, which often gets overlooked at other restaurants, but it made her morning feel so much more special. It may seem like a small notion, but it was a touching detail to our initial visit. The brunch menu is small but packed with flavors and meaningful dishes. We love this and wish we could try it all. We decided to start with the PB&J French toast as a shared app. It’s an entree item, but upon hearing how much the owner loves this item we had to try it out. We also ordered the Pineapple Bun sliders and Tornado omelette. For us the trio of entrees was the perfect blend of savory, sweet, and salty, hitting all the right notes. Also highly recommend the Ellie Bird Latte. Glad we came, we will be back for more!”

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.”

“I had the privilege of experiencing the Chefs Tasting at 2941 Restaurant last night. The five-course tasting journey, paired with exquisite food and wine, along with beautiful surroundings and a vibrant atmosphere, turned the evening into a memorable adventure and culinary delight. If you seek to awaken your taste buds and embark on a magical journey, this extraordinary destination in the DMA area and North America awaits you.”

“Always delicious traditional Egyptian fare. My Egyptian husband makes me drive two hours just to eat here. Although the food is delicious and healthy, my fav thing is the mint lemonade which they make by hand.”

“Amazing place. Treat you like family. Hüseyin is usually in front (super generous and friendly) along with his dad or another staffer, and I think his mom makes the pastries herself through a delicate time-consuming process. Of course have the strong Turkish coffee, no milk or sugar! Not sure if they still do but at some point a small Turkish coffee came for free with your meal.
Note: the dish usually comes with a more appetizing looking cream; it was added after this photo (and to his credit he remembered right after someone else served it, happens!)
Also, once I asked Hüseyin about a lemon based Turkish hand sanitizer and he just gave it to me. Good guy.”

“Food is really good. Good German style plates. Service was impeccable. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is extremely loud. It was, however, a Friday night and was a bar scene. If you like a good bar, that's a little loud, this is the place for you. If you want a bar/restaurant that you can talk at, don't go here on Friday.”

“Exceptional Service. Culinary Excellence. Our dining experience at JOON was extraordinary, made even better by the exceptional service from our server, Yacine. His thoughtful recommendations, warm demeanor, and perfectly timed attentiveness made for an unforgettable evening. Even as the restaurant got busier, Yacine maintained his focus on us— a warm and welcoming touch that elevated the entire experience. Thank you! As fans of Persian cuisine and frequent shoppers at Yekta Market in Rockville— having recently tried our hand at making Persian dishes like Fesenjan at home— coupled with all of the culinary accolades— we had high expectations for JOON. It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.”

“Review is for the new PUPATELLA off Slater's Lane in Alexandria VA. It's in my neighborhood so we walked. Noticed limited # spot parking lot, minimal if any street parking. Went on opening day around 1145 am; got seated right away but servers were largely absent throughout stay. Took ~10 min for someone to show up to take our drink order and food order. Seasonal specials on the menu but not actually available to order yet. Went with soft drinks, margarita pizza, and brussels sprouts app. Food was fabulous and served quickly. No server appeared to check on us or to refill drinks; I believe the marketing manager ended up checking on us and helped out. Also no server to bring bill so we closed the tab at their point of sale system. Decor is plain; hopefully they will add some art to the walls at some point. Two unisex bathrooms were clean. Very narrow pathway to get to them past the indoor seating and the bar seating. Large folks and wheelchairs will struggle to navigate to the bathrooms. The usable space inside the narrow building is limited so not sure if this is a fixable issue. Patio seating is a mix of low tables and high tables/chairs, assortment of non-adjustable small umbrellas to block sun, looked like they could be moved around. Clearly dog-friendly, I saw at least three water bowls in use or available to use. Saw a lot of vehicle traffic on Slater's, but did not hear the traffic on Slater's or the GW parkway. Most tables inside and out were occupied; the music over the speakers and the ambient patron noise was loud enough to drown out traffic. There is an access road and line of trees between the restaurant and GW parkway which helps to minimize the traffic view. Food was worth another visit, though you should give them time to upskill their servers and perhaps hire more servers. Given the parking issue and the limited seating inside and out, I suspect this location is more suited for walking locals and carry-out than travelling diners. This location isn't really suited to be a destination dining experience.”
