“Took my lil ones on 3/23/24 at about 45 min until closing. The 4 that were staffed did very well with the constant influx of guests, working together, keeping everything tidy as if they just opened even considering they were so close to clocking out. “I would give this place 5 stars, they just opened and there’s a lot of pluses! Friendly staff, convenient location, delicious treats! Our only issue has nothing to do with the food or people, it’s the parking lot. We parked, walked in to get ice cream, and tried to leave but got trapped in by the long line. Careful where you park! People will just keep adding to the line. I can see this being a bigger issue during the summer which is why I chose to bring it up now. Worth fixing before then! Also please add an Orange Julius if it’s possible!“
“I have always loved pelicans! Not only do they have an excellent selection of flavors and toppings but they also have a wonderful owner. Ms. Lisa and her team have always greeted myself and every customer with a smile. They are willing to take the time to explain flavors and even allow you to have samples. This place is very family friendly, clean and a wonderful small business that fits perfectly here in Yorktown. If you're ever passing by please stop in and experience this for yourself! “On Sunday, June 5 2023, my daughter and I had an extremely wonderful experience at the Yorktown VA B&J. We had been searching for her cell phone all over the area and as a last ditch effort, we stopped in to ask if anyone may have turned her phone in to BJ as it is listed as a “lost and found”. Luckily, we were enthusiastically greeted by Josh. We explained our dilemma, and we saw the gleam in his eye as he asked some details about the phone. He promptly went to the back and retrieved the phone. Needless to say, we were ecstatic!! We wanted to buy all sorts of things and Josh and his associate, Roger patiently and enthusiastically waited on us. We just want the managers to know how much we appreciated their kindness, patience and courtesy. Josh was attentive and aware of what is happening on his shift and knew exactly what we were looking for. He asked the right questions before turning over the phone . Both Josh and Roger were on their best game: they were friendly, professional and very well trained. You don’t get that too much these days. Josh and Roger are keepers!???. Karen and Kaley“
“Oh my! Excellent burger and fry. Both cooked immediately after ordering. Fresh ingredients. Crispy bacon. Thick sliced tomato. Large leaf of lettuce. All the donuts and ice cream looked amazing but I was stuffed. I was eyeing this guy's donut sundae when I was leaving though. So much so that I wanted to ask him for a bite. The next time I visit I'm going for sweet rather than savory. The only downside was there was no inside dining.“
