“I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter last week and it was excellent! I recently moved to Brattleboro and until I found Top Tier Baking Co. I thought my only options for a birthday cake were local supermarkets. Even if there are other local bakeries I'd come back here because of the quality. Britni, the owner, is very talented and accommodating. I'm looking forward to trying her cupcakes! This is definitely a local business deserving of support.”
“Visiting overnight, relied on Yelp to pick our dining spot and boy, am I glad. Everything was delicious, from the duck pate. App to the entrees pictured. Service was terrific, as was the choc mousse! Wonderful experience from start to finish.”
“Amazing! Easily one of the best restaurants in the state of Vermont. Their hummus and falafel compare only to what you’d get in the best Mediterranean restaurants in the country. I love their hummus they sell across the state in select grocery stores too! So much better than other hummus brands. Owner and workers friendly and helpful.”
“Whenever we visit Brattleboro, we make sure we get to eat at Vegan AF at least once! This place is truly some of the best food, let alone vegan food in all of Southern Vermont.Everything on the menu is delicious, incredibly fresh, and seasoned to perfection. Truly, it doesn’t matter if you are vegan or not, these meals are literally so good that it transcends all types of foods.Their drinks are also super unique and reasonably priced. The service is friendly, kind and efficient. Very queer friendly too. Literally, what more can you ask for?”
“The food was amazing Top shelf. They had gluten free options including bread for all the sandwiches. They even spiced things up with a "dark side of the moon " cookie for the eclipse. Out of this world !”
“Glad we stopped! Friendly staff and so many great food and treats for sale. We got the mac and cheese, potstickers, gluten free maple bbq pulled pork, and gluten free apple crisp for dessert. Bought some maple syrup and bloody mary mix to bring home. Looking forward to stopping in again sometime.”
“Legendary Pub! Amazing attentive service, incredible upscale pub food, and the best pour of Guinness in VT!It’s seriously the place to be, and worth a little wait to get a table or spot at the bar, you won’t be disappointed!”
“Whoa. So good. I never thought I’d find spice this nice in Vermont but the jerk chicken is amazing. And the chocolate rum cake…are you kidding me? Run don’t walk…and they are on door dash. Getcha some.”
“The Hawaiian Fried Rice was extremely delicious. I added chicken but it's filling even without meat. My partner got the Ginger chicken and loved it. Highly recommend anything from here!”
“This is the best dining experience I've had in ages. First, the chef deserves a Michelin star or two. I've been to Michelin-starred restaurants that don't compare to this one in terms of food. Second, an intimate atmosphere and an open kitchen where you can watch the craftsmanship of the chef make it really unique. The restaurant is worth traveling for.”
“Coming home or going to Stratton and need some amazing local food treats? You have to stop here! Kind, helpful staff and delicious baked goods along with some proteins like tuna salad and deviled eggs. Coffee and teas are a bonus as well as some local sundries. This renovated farm house also has local artist items in the attached space.”
“been coming here for 20 years. this is the most reliable and consistent pizza place on route 5. i also love their sandwiches. Customer service is fast, reliable, and I’ve never once had an issue!Parking: 4 spots in front with space on the sides as well!”
“I'm from SoCal, and love El Indio (San Diego) tortilla chips. Leah's homemade chips are the closest thing I've found. They are great. I try to get 4 side orders a week for my stash!”
“If you’re looking for the best coffee roaster in Southern Vermont, look no further. The folks at Duchess provide such high quality coffee that is consciously sourced, roasted to perfection, and tastes absolutely incredible. As someone who usually only drinks coffee with milk, their roasts are so delightful that I drink it black. Loyal customer for life!”
“Crushed to hear this fantastic brewery is closing ? Though severely out of my everyday price range, their kettle-aged sours were some of the best luxury treats I’ve bought myself. Also not sure if it will upload but there is red paint spill in their lavatory… it’s in the shape of a hermit thrush. If that isn’t destiny that this place belongs there, I don’t know what is!Sending you love, Hermit Thrush!”
“A must try!! Of my suggestions! If you have not yet, my favorites are (now) CHOW FUN!! Their chicken fingers are fried to perfection, crispy and juicy! This name Says it all Chicken Amazing! (With brown rice) Their Szechuan dumplings are absolutely tasty! Their Sushi Chef is a master of delicious Arts!”
“Great food! Service was a little off but it was a busy night. One thing I wish they'd fix is the heat. It was really cold near the windows where we first seated. We asked to move to another table and they moved us, but reluctantly. It was slightly better at the new table. Hope they can do something to make it more comfortable, or I'll be wearing ski pants to eat there in the winter”
“I stopped in at Love Buzz on a road trip. The man working, who I'm guessing was the/an owner promised me the best cuppa coffee around. He did not lie! Thanks for the pick me up for our long drive!”
“Stopped in on Saturday for a light lunch and a cocktail. This is a cool spot, the oysters were cold and fresh, the clam chowder is excellent (it's thin, iyktyk) and the tinned fish was not my cup of tea but my gf loved it. A decent selection of beers on tap and a creative cocktail list. Great new spot for me.”
“What an experience. My husband and I love checking out coffee shops while traveling through our New England and this one did not disappoint. The owner was super friendly and accommodating. The coffees were made quickly and beautifully. We bought beans to make our own espresso at home and they were also top notch. Definitely a cute spot close to the river!”
“Great, cool restaurant right in downtown Brattleboro. Just across the street from the Latchis Hotel. Great vibe. Chili- lime shrimp, steak tips, pierogies, white pizza were all really good. We’ll be back. Recommend.”
“Love the chicken sticks and veggie egg rolls here. They are operating on a limited schedule currently due to the pandemic. Check their Facebook page before ordering.”
“We love Tito's. The food portions are good, the flavor is good(I recommend the Chipotle lime pork) and it's in a good location to grab before getting groceries done. I would recommend trying it at least once.”
“I just saw this place on a YouTube channel and they are soo welcoming to the YouTube peeps from amagansett press. If I’m ever there I will definitely spend money there!!!!”
“Where do I begin this review about such a great place? Let’s start with the gracious and welcoming owners, Leslie and Paul Cameron. On our visit there, we were greeted at the door by Paul as he welcomed us to his establishment. Our group immediately felt at home and knew this was going to be a good choice to indulge in some fine libation. Inside the taproom area you will feel the coziness of the New England style décor and design from the live edge maple bar and table tops to the post and beam construction. The tap list was a nice mix of stouts, porters, red ales and IPA’s which were served nice and cold, just the way I like my beers. We enjoyed all of our choices and would not hesitate to order again in the future. Live music was provided by a husband and wife duo singing popular songs that everyone could sing along too. They strongly encouraged we sing along and we may have surprised them with some of the songs that we could sing with them word for word. For those of you who may not be beer drinkers, fear not. Paul and Leslie also make delicious award winning wine in the refurbished 200+ year old barn next to the taproom. Leslie gave us a tour of the wine barn and I must say, what an impressive job they did with it. Inside the barn, you will quickly appreciate all the hard work that went into this place. Upon entry at the ground level, you will find a wide variety of bottled wines, cheeses and chocolates to purchase. The second floor follows around the inside perimeter of the barn with many tables, chairs and other cozy places to sit. A beautiful hand crafted bar can be found where all the wine tastings take place. The third floor is in the middle of the barn and follows the center line of the roof peak. It is an open floor design and both side of the second floor can be viewed from the third. All three floors are tastefully decorated keeping with the traditional New England style and further enhances the warmth and coziness of all the hard work Leslie and Paul have devoted to their business. On warmer days, there is ample outdoor seating with multiple fire pit locations to enjoy your drink and snacks in the fresh outdoor air. It was a bit chilly on the day of our visit, but we cannot wait to make a return trip on a warmer day for more enjoyment of the good company and drinks found at the Back Room Brewery. We will certainly be spreading the good word to many of our other friends to join us on the next trip. See you then and cheers!!!”
“Music in the cafes at night and revolution in the air! Berets! Mocha Joe's feels and smells like the real coffee shop deal, without the cigarette smoke! What brews! What a brew crew! Pyre and Emma are usually the two when I pop in. Good times! Cool cats!”
“Thick and creamy ice cream, which makes you feel like you're eating real custard. Ice cream flavors are delicious as well, and the shop items in the same space are lovely. They have some adorable kid's clothes, some nice women's clothes, and jewelry among other things that are reasonably priced. I would go again. My only complaint is wanting more ice cream on top of my sugar cone.”
“Beautiful restaurant, fun and helpful staff. Excellent gyoza.Dining companion said htis sweet and sour chicken was the best he'd ever had. My sushi roll was beautifully ppresented, but please oh please disclose on the menu ALL the ingredients. Mine had lettuce (ugh) and spicy mayo (which I heartily dislike) -- neither of which were mentioned on the menu. My hand roll sushi was very good though and very fresh.”
“Super easy to find right off Main St. Not many places open on a Monday night. So glad I landed here. Casual friendly atmosphere. Service was fabulous. Food was even better. Lots of local beers and good wine too.Dietary restrictions: Several gluten free options including the pad Thai which was delicious!”
“Why didn’t I think to write a review sooner? I’ve been buying Kelsey‘s bread for years now and it really is a nutrient rich, dense, healthy vegan bread, unlike some of the potato starch and egg breads you can find in the freezer section. The nut pies are mostly nuts, not sugar goo, and the crusts are light but hold together nicely. My daughter is mad got the whoopie pies. And now they have a bread CSA!!!”
