“Definitely worth the stop if you're someone who enjoys spirits and cocktails! We were hoping to have a few of the delicious sounding snacks from their food menu in addition to a tasting and some cocktails, but unfortunately we found when we arrived that only the retail section of the distillery was open. The employee (I wish I would have gotten her name!) was incredibly gracious when she learned we were on a road trip and pointed us in the direction of the restrooms and a seating area with an invitation to stay and relax for as long as we wished.

It turned out that one of their whiskies here was one that my husband had previously tasted somewhere else and was so impressed by it then he wrote a note in his phone to pursue purchasing it at a later time, so it was rather serendipitous that we stopped here!

I am absolutely not a gin fan and regularly ask that vodka be subbed for gin in cocktails, but the gin they make here turned out to be one of only two gins I've ever been amenable to in all of our years of distillery tours (I won't say how many years that is, but it's a lot!) This one has a bit of a smoother, sweeter profile to it instead of the usual suspect of pine tree that I decry and it was a pleasant surprise. I also enjoyed the vodka which I expect to be excellent as a stand alone martini with a citrus twist. Unfortunately we did not stay for cocktails as we had promised the kids food at this stop so we needed to find somewhere else to eat, but we did leave with several bottles to enjoy at home. My husband had a difficult time deciding on just one whiskey to purchase, so I'm sure we will be back at a later date in the future for him to buy the ones he didn't buy this first time around.“

I ordered online for delivery and there was an accidental switch to my order and I got the wrong one, they didn’t hesitate to make it right and they even brought it to me at no extra charge. The food tasted incredible. Wonderful customer service and I’ll be back!“

“Listen, I know it's a pho spot, and you won't be disappointed if you get Pho, but you need to order the Kim Special. It's the spicy beef and pork noodle soup with the addition of seafood. This thing during winter clears all sinuses, fills all tummies, and packs an ungodly amount of flavor.

The staff is also incredible here - during my visit, it was a team of two (Kim & Hien) serving more than 20 seats and doing so with a smile on their face.

Reservations recommended for groups of 5 or more though I saw them accommodate this on the spot.“

“I had lunch with a friend yesterday and was very impressed. The Buddah bowl was delicious! I also tried Dandelion tea for the first time. It tasted surprisingly like coffee in a very good way. They have an great variety of other teas if you want to try something new. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. We sat in a cozy room in the back overlooking the Winooski river. I will definitely be returning!“

“What an absolute breath of fresh air Vermont is - no chains and everything independent and unique. Buddy’s is no exception - a straight up burger joint serving tasty fries, shakes and burgers. I got a double Vermonter and the maple bacon sauce is top notch. It’s no wonder it’s the only burger place around - no one else can compete!“

The person who served me was quick on time and didn’t bother me to much and also pretty nice.the food I had was the chicken sandwich with the poutine side the chicken didn’t have much seasoning but the sauce bun and pickles made the juicy flavour come out.the poutine was really good flavour wise it was a bit too cheesy for me. “My sister and I drove from Texas to Vermont to enjoy autumn in New England. Our Vermont stay was here at Lazy Lions. Our site was magnificent. The campground was decorated for fall. The bathrooms were clean and everyone was friendly. I didn't need to use the showers since my Casita has one. I recommend Lazy Lions to anyone heading this way.

Nearby activities: Barre is centrally located so we could almost anywhere in Vermont for a day excursion.“
