“This hotel is duper special, in a very unique location and great rooms. We loved the area, the pond right next to it, the restaurant and the local store, they made our experience so special! The only little downsides I want to mention are:1. There is no coffee machine or pot in the room, so if you are in a mood for coffee in the afternoon - it’s not an option.2. No one actually welcomes you to the hotel, you get the passcode for the door via email and enter by yourself. For me it was a little disappointing but maybe it’s just me.But overall, the room was great, very clean and spacious and we loved the whole experience.Nearby activities: Only 8 minutes drive from woodstock“
“Today was our first time experiencing cloudland farms exclusive farm to table meal that was so peaceful. This was quintessential to northern New England and it's culture and history of farming. The flavors are unique to farm to table eating. If you know, you know! Our server Meg, who is a part of the family that has owned the farm since 1908, who gave an awesome description and history of the farm itself and was a pleasure to chat with. We can't wait to go back and sit by the fireplace on a cold winter night. Thanks to all the staff. Cheers!“
“We are so glad we found this place. It was a great experience. My husband and I were there celebrating his 50th birthday weekend and wanted a special dinner. We had bar seat reservations and the hostess who seated us also took our order. I was SO thrilled they had mocktails! (As a suggestion, it should be on the wine/beer menu. We had to ask about it!) And then I was asked if I wanted fruity, citrus or spicy. I chose citrus and had the very coolest drink. I ordered another! Everything is tappas style so you order to share. We ordered raw oysters, whipped ricotta toast with fig jam, teriyaki pork tacos and the chocolate mouse. All the food was literally INCREDIBLE except the mouse. It had no sweetness at all and we strongly disliked the cherries on top. The only good thing about it was the little shortbread cookie. We'd try something else for dessert next time. The other downside was no one asked how we were doing or if we needed anything the entire time we were seated. Our ricotta toast had been forgotten and we had to flag someone down in order to ask about it even though the people next to us had all their courses before we did though they were seated much later than us. I felt a little forgotten overall. BUT the service was all met with a smile and kindness! I would still go back!“
“Our lunch at the Red Rooster was wonderful. The garden greens topped with grilled salmon was delicious. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the maple vinaigrette dressing complemented the salad beautifully. My husband likes trying unique menu options and he enjoyed the duck tacos. Samantha was the perfect server - friendly and very competent in her job. Her service was prompt with frequent returns to our table to inquire if everything was satisfactory. Be prepared that lunch for two which includes a first plate, entree, a dessert and one bar beverage per person will probably be above $100 before the gratuity but we felt that our lovely experience was worth the expense.“
“Did not stay at Inn.Food & drinks: We only went for dinner, which was an experience! Mara was so charming explaining each dish with such enthusiasm, we couldn't wait to try each dish! Chef is so artistic with food and flavors and we ate food we would never have found around our location. Highly recommend.“
“We were planning to go to Simon Pearce to purchase a gift for a friend and decided to have lunch at the restaurant. We're so glad we did ... what a treat! We had the crab cakes appetizer ... probably the best crab cakes we ever had! My husband had the delicious Crispy Sesame Chicken, and I had Shepherd's Pie, which was generous enough to take some home to enjoy for another lunch. We definitely recommend the Simon Pearce Restaurant and making a reservation. We observed that the restaurant was quite busy for a Friday lunch.“
“Beautiful location and facility. Everybody who helped us, whether door, desk, restaurant, or on the floor, were friendly and efficient. When I checked out I left behind three items of clothing. I later called the manager about them from Boston, and they'd been carefully collected and labeled, and he informed me they would be sent to my address at the hotel's expense. A nice touch to a very pleasant visit. Maple syrup was delicious, too. Walter Groth“
“What a cool spot! We stopped in for breakfast burritos before hitting the road. We were greeted promptly at the window & received our burritos freshly made to order within minutes! Takeout only at this time so we enjoyed them in the car. Just delicious with really good sausage (not the frozen link kind!!). Would definitely recommend.“
“I was in town for an appt and found this lovely spot for lunch! You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you, quite quickly! The food was so good. Too bad I live far away otherwise I would love to come here again! Great atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and helpful.“
“Highly recommend traveling Route 4 in Vermont to The Public House Pub in Quechee. Service was excellent, family atmosphere with live music. Everyone is treated as a friend. The owner made sure we enjoyed everything, and shared the story of he and his partners inception of the restaurant and showed us his book of building this incredible establishment. My wife had the maple bacon brussel sprouts as an appetizer, and the maple bacon cheddar burger, I had some buffalo wings which were enormous, not the dinky ones you usually get, and I too had the Maple bacon cheddar burger. To finish our meal we split a maple cheese cake slice, which was delicious. When in Vermont you must try all things maple.“
“As a local, it was hard to believe this place could be so good since we had never heard about it and it is in the middle of nowhere! Went for a friend's birthday dinner and, wow, what a treat! It is in several small rooms of a very old house that used to be an inn. The eclectic atmosphere and historic ambiance made for a warm and homey vibe. You need to make reservations because seating and parking are limited. We sat at the bar, which seats 6, where Heidi took great care of us. What a sweetheart! The drinks were amazing, and the food was top-notch, local, fresh, everything made from scratch!! This means it takes a little longer to prepare, and it was pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. We will definitely be back! It is family-owned, and everyone, even the chef, interacted with the guests - you can feel the family ties here. These folks have a very special thing going on, and it is working, and apparently, has been for many years. It didn't appear that the building was wheelchair accessible and the bathrooms were up very narrow stairs on the 2nd and 3rd floors, so if you have mobility issues, this may not work for you.Parking: We parked in the church parking lot next door.“
“Stellar pizza joint and it would be easy to miss. Look out for the sign outside the mill. Super flexible on pizza designs and the salad was huge and great. Welcoming and accommodating staff the know the beer list well. Will 100% go back on the next Killington “
“I’m a disabled Army Veteran and I came here because it’s convenient inside the resort. As soon as you walk in they make you feel like your home. They seat you and make sure your okay. The food comes out so fast. Marisa was my waitress and she goes above and beyond for her customs. The whole team there is amazing. I have eaten there twice and I’m back there Thursday and I’m bring my friend with me. The flatbread is amazing. I add the candy bacon on top of my flatbread. The chicken Cobb salad is so good. It’s the wings though my god they are soo good. Everything is fresh and made with lots of love. Check it out if you’re in town. Tell them Mo sent you. Highly recommend.“
“We stayed at the Inn for a couple of nights and made a reservation well in advance for dinner. It was fantastic. One of the best pizzas that we have ever had. Wine and dessert were delicious as well. The service was excellent! Heads up…. They will automatically add a 20% tip to your check. It’s a very cozy atmosphere.“
