“What a gem! I spent the whole time riding shotgun on I89 researching the best spots to grab dinner with the family for no reason. I should’ve just followed the advice of the internet food gods and headed straight to Blackback Pub. The food was incredible and the service was memorable. Chef Cory is doing what he loves and it shines through. Just about everything but the ketchup starts out from his bare hands. Try the Crab Rangoon Grilled Cheese….its out of this world but makes all the sense in the world. Enjoy one of the last chances to eat a fun and exciting meal before your trip into the VT mountains.”

“The panini was incredible—perfectly toasted with fresh, natural ingredients that you could really taste in every bite! But what made the experience even better was the service. Chatting with the owner, who’s from Italy, made it feel like we were transported straight there for a moment. His passion for good food and quality ingredients really came through. “Service was 10/10 , the person at the counter was very nice and super patient when I couldn't decide what to eat.

Crab Rangoon 10/10 , loved the sauce it was served with ! Especially when I used the hot mustard with it.

Chicken Lomein 3/10, the chicken texture seemed off , and was too salty to eat. I ended up throwing it away.

Overall the staff seemed nice and the restaurant smelled really good walking in. I would come back and try something else but I don't think I'd get the lomein again.”

“Ideal for a quick lunch, this is my choice for dining at noon most days. Even lunch special plenty of food. Hot hot stir fry makes for crispy veg and tender meat. Sometimes they let me order off the menu schezuan pork (shredded) and I leave so very satisfied.”

“Rounding up given the beer is some of the best around. Really hoping they’re able to expand, both the taproom space and availability of cans / to-go beer. Unfortunately, the small space makes it quite inconvenient for the average consumer, many whom have children and dogs. Beyond not being able to get a draft inside when vacationing with my 3-year old, I also wasn’t able to get anything to go because they were out of dipa 4 packs and didn’t have growler glasses. I was also told that growler pours were limited to very select beers. While this is certainly a great place to grab a few pints if you don’t have kids or pets, i do wonder if there are any expansion plans because the beer is just too good to have such a limited audience. I understand the industry presents financial bottlenecks, and I’ll be the first investor if they ever choose to grow.”

“Behind the gas station & restaurant is Rodney’s Transfer Station. They will take the trash out of your car, pay by cash or card. Was $10 for a large bag of garbage, a large bag of recycling, & a pile of cardboard, (with credit card processing fee).”

“Stopped here out of exasperation and to use the restroom. I decided to get a sandwich and I was very surprised at the quality of the vegetables. Definitely better than your average Subway in terms of veggies, bread and meats. Staff was friendly as well. It'll definitely do in a pinch after being stuck in Stowe traffic!”

“Can’t say enough nice things about Red Poppy Cakery! We went with them for our Wedding Cake and Cupcakes, and would have considered no alternative. We had a delightful first experience with our tasting - Janina’s comprehensive knowledge and presentation of everything from cake composition options to details of physical delivery logistics put us so at ease, and made us so confident that we would be taken care of. And then there’s the cake flavors! She has such a lovely variety of cakes, fillings, and frostings to choose from, that really allowed us to get a little funky with it and create some killer cakes/cupcakes that felt unique to us, and a little more adventurous in flavor than your average wedding desserts. And they came out looking so perfect, cute, and delicious! Honestly, every step of the process with Red Poppy was just so seamless and effortless, and I’d recommend working with them for everyone - from novice cake-purchasers like us to someone who's getting cakes and treats every week.”

“One of the best meals we had while visiting VT was at the Reservoir. OMG!! The poutine appetizer was absolutely unbelievable. It was cheesy and bacony goodness. We wanted to lick the plate at the end. My smash burger was one of the best burgers that I’ve ever had. Loved it so much! It was so juicy and delicious. The salad was a good side dish. My husband opted for a plain chicken sandwich instead of the hot chicken. Hot chicken would have had more flavor. My cousin loved his cheesesteak. He said it was one of the best cheesesteaks that he’s ever had. It was super juicy and delectable. My other cousin loved her mahi mahi sandwich. She wanted something different and loved it. Our waiter was very attentive, very personable and gave great food recommendations. He deserves a raise. The Reservoir is a must visit when in Waterbury. Everyone loved the food and the service. Wish it was closer. I’d be there all the time. We’ll be dreaming about it until our next trip.”
