“Thong Thai Restaurant is a real gem! The atmosphere is comfortable, the staff is friendly and fast. The location is easy to find. Most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious! A couple members of our family have celiac disease, so we're cautious and picky about dining out. This is a trusted place that never disappoints. We came here to celebrate two birthdays. This business is family owned and run. Once you experience the food, it will become one of your favorite places, too!“

“Celebrated our anniversary at Kyoto. We made a reservation, but there was no wait — promptly greeted. Sandy’s service and recommendations were *exceptional* and the omakase was divine. The specialty rolls were wonderfully balanced and nuanced. Best unagi I’ve had in a while! They were out of a few fringe items, but had alternatives. Lastly, the menu is competitively priced for this caliber of quality in the area — any local steakhouse would’ve cost $100 more for a lesser experience and product. We’ll definitely be back.“

“Bahn Mi was very good, lots of meat and veggies & not dry like other places. The iced coffee was also good, and the prices are more than fair. The lady at the counter was lovely, my food was ready very fast. Also the bathroom was super clean.“

“At Pao’s you won’t find fancy doughnuts like at Voodoo or Legendary, but what they do have is the best glazed raised doughnuts in the PNW. Light, airy and soft; the perfect simple doughnut. The maple bars and apple fritters are pretty good as well. The one downside is the toppings and fillings: The Bavarian cream, for example, is not filled with pastry cream and the chocolate topping barely tastes like chocolate.“

“I normally don’t review a restaurant after one visit, but Marzano was exceptional. It’s an approachable fine dining experience. The staff was great, and definitely give the impression that they genuinely care about your visit. We took a chance on the appetizer special, and were very happy that we stepped outside our comfort zone (Traditional Venetian antipasto of marinated salt cod on squid ink polenta cakes paired with whipped ciccione crostini, sour cherries and hazelnuts). The lasagna bolognese and carbonara were absolutely amazing from the first bite to the last. I’ve never had better.“

The table was decorated with a long stemmed red rose and a birthday card. Our meal was so delicious! Cocktails, starters, dinner and dessert were pure perfection! Thank you chef(s). We had to pick the cake up, and they packaged it just right for an easy trip to our venue. Communication with the ladies was easy and convenient. “I understand the negative reviews. Political opinions should stay private. But a business is personal so ignore what offends you. I had a nice time. This is one of those places mindset and company matter more than the wow factor due to the atmosphere. I travel to many states and eat in many places, this was cozy, food was homie, coffee was great, server was kind, and the decorations of old cars are appreciated. A great spot for a quick bite on road trips.“

“This review is based off of the one time I've gone. I went after work with my colleagues, they stayed and had their food, I got mine to go. All of them enjoyed their dishes. When I got home and ate my food, I was very surprised.
Because of where I live, I eat a lot of Vietnamese food. This place was definitely different. First of all, the staff were very nice. Secondly, the noodle salad was unlike others I've had. The highest praise goes to the shrimp. I've never had a shrimp roll as good as this was. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. I will definitely come back to try more dishes. Not only did I enjoy the best martini I’ve ever had (make sure you take Payton’s recommendation and order the Gunpowder Gin), but the food was delectable. We started with the Formosa Roll and enjoyed the shrimp tacos and steak. The Formosa Roll was savory and spicy, the shrimp were perfectly cooked for the tacos and the steak came with potato spirals that I didn’t know I needed in my life, but absolutely do! A true gem of Tacoma, bravo Eric and team!“
