“I walked by yesterday and saw this tea shop. Daughter loves hojicha so we went for hojicha latte. Excellent Hojicha Latte, both hot and cold, not bitter and full flavoured. We wanted matcha tiramisu but they were out of stock, so we went with sweet potato tart instead. Taste is really good, but portion size is on a small side. They probably have some staffing issues but the lady (owner?) at the counter tried her best to take care of our orders. Will continue support our local small business and hopefully they will stay in our community. ありがとうございます, ご苦労様でした.“

“Recently I moved to Cloverdale and I can’t believe I didn’t find this café sooner! The coffee is absolutely AMAZING truly the best I’ve had. And the staff is just as incredible. The woman who speaks Spanish (maybe the owner?) is the sweetest, most welcoming person ever, and she always makes me leave with a smile.

“To this cafe for the first time. First impressions inside the cafe was unique, clean and comfortable to dine-in. The staff also very friendly and helpful. The cafe isn't spacious but full of customers. I have ordered their Ham sandwich and cappuccino, and it was so good. Bread, I chose the toasted wholewheat bread. I really like their coffee, have very bold taste and fresh. Price is considered on a higher side, but the quality of their food and drinks is worth it. Recommend to give them a try.

When I went to the Fort Langley location I had their gold digger drink, I was very impressed with all the flavour combinations! “The espresso is delicious with deep rich flavors, I got an iced latte and it was very good. Plenty of coffee and espresso drink options as well as milk alternatives. I also got their breakfast sandwich. It was, in my opinion, one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a long time, phenomenal. I don't know what I was expecting, but I'm so used to chain coffee shops and their egg patties that this was a pleasant surprise. Real toasted bread, real cheese, fresh cooked egg, lettuce, tomato, avo/guacamole, delicious sauce (the sandwich was not at all dry, the perfect amount), and the sandwich comes with bacon, but I don't eat meat and they had no problem not adding the bacon for me. Again, the sandwich was absolutely delicious, I had taken it to go and didnt get a chance to tell them how much I enjoyed it, but I savored every last bite! Thank you Java Express, the prices were also great, I will be back again, and I absolutely recommend to everyone!“

I am not certain as to why this is not always consistent across the board at some of the other locations... Some say it is the machine or the Barista, etc. Even when this location updated their machines, they still produce an amazing long pour Americano - thank you, thank you!
