“I’ve ordered multiple items from Lulu over the past year and I’ve never ever been disappointed. I went in to try her new cheese and strawberry danishes and omggggg they were mouthwatering deliciousness that I’m sure I world gobble 50 of them in one sitting. I’ve ordered the strawberry flan (my fave), choco flan, peach and strawberry jellos, the Rosca, cookies, cake, and her new cheeses. On top of everything being absolutely scrumptious, I’m always received with the upmost care and friendly attitude. For being a one-woman operated bakery, I am amazed at how clean and wonderful her bakery is and I’m lost for words at what a great company Lulu’s bakery is. “This was my first time visiting this place as well as the cafe/bakery next door. It's a small grocery store full of authentic German food products. Their bread was so good!!! I definitely plan on coming back for more pretzels.

“It's been a while since I reviewed Side Piece Kitchen and I wanted to share that they have consistently have been superb each visit. I got really excited for the last week of August's specials as they were nostalgia blasts featuring dirt cup cheesecakes and teriyaki dippers which were my favorite thing to get in my school lunches. I had to practically beg my boyfriend to go and eventually just told him that they had a cosmic brownie cheesecake and he started telling me to get ready to go.

We had an event to go to at 11am and arrived around 9:30-40amish and there was a line out the door but the staff here are always on point in ensuring there isn't too long of wait that we were efficient on time and able to dine in (we were ready to eat on the way up). The food was absolutely delicious, never had a bad experience here. I absolutely loved the presentation of the lunch meal and the teriyaki dippers were fantastic. My friend tried the Baca and said it was fantastic too! I also love that they have a fun T-shirt design contest and look forward to seeing the top three best designs. It's incredible how these guys are always able to come up with amazing specials, friendly service, and offer just great vibes with each visit. I feel like we visit them at least once a month, and honestly if I could I would try to come every week. We appreciate that they have a dog friendly patio. As a long time supporter of Side Piece Kitchen, I am so glad they are local, supportive of the community and small businesses, serve truly some of the best food in the country, and are just overall amazing people.“

“I visited this bakery and bought four pastries today. Some popular items were already sold out because I went around 1:00 p.m., so if you want the best selection, I recommend going in the morning.

The pastries were fresh and delicious. However, I was disappointed with the service. I chose not to buy a plastic bag, but I expected the cashier to place my individually wrapped pastries into one paper bag, as they have done during my previous visits. Instead, I had to carry each one separately to my car.

I don't know if it was because I didn't leave a tip, but it made me feel that way. It left me with a disappointing impression of the customer service.“

“Little Miss Sweets NYC is my favorite bakery. I hadn't even realized everything they make is gluten-free until long after I'd been shopping there. My favorite thing would be hard to pick, but if you have a chance, grab you some guava pastelitos. They melt in your mouth, and the pastr is like buttah! I dream of these things! And the cheesecakes? OMG...ube and peach cobbler are my favorite. And you can find those in lots of local stores, like Stadium Thriftway and H&L Produce, to name a couple.

The owner, Lydia, also holds an annual event called Savor Fest that brings together food vendors from a variety of cultures so you can eat good food from around the world all in one place while supporting local businesses. Cool, right?!

It’s conveniently located near 38th Street, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, kind Cambodian lady behind the counter. The shop has a beautiful selection of donuts, along with great coffee. It’s quiet, cozy, and the seating inside and out is beautifully decorated.
