“Kimball Coffeehouse ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 5/16/24, I visited Kimball Coffeehouse in Gig Harbor, Washington. This coffeehouse has a great history, which I’ve included a link to in the comments. Kimball Coffeehouse has live music on the weekends. The evening I arrived, they were setting up for Open Mic Night. They roast their own coffee beans. They have an extensive menu that includes Breakfasts, Smoothies, Sandwiches, Flatbread Pizzas, Salads, Soups, Snacks, and Desserts. I ordered a Spring coffee drink called Bees Knees, which is a Lavender & Honey Latte. The flavor combination was a bit too subtle for me, but it was good. Next time, I will try something else. The woman sitting next to me ordered a BLT, which looked excellent! One of the things I really like about Kimball Coffeehouse is they seem to have a lot of regulars. Coffee shops like that are hard to find.  I look forward to visiting Kimball Coffeehouse the next time I’m in town.… Highly Recommended!!!“

“This is one of the hidden gems of Tacoma, including the quirky paint job and building! The owner is a treasure trove of "squirrel" facts and knowledge about SO many things- including tea. “Great atmosphere, great coffee. Tried their spanish latte didn't disappoint. Not too sweet definitely tasted the coffee, it's not just another coffee flavored milk drink like most places. Only thing I wish they had some seasonal or unique branded drinks.

Had the chai as well which is freshly brewed and had great spice flavor. Definitely recommend if in the area.

Side note: There is currently a bit of construction around, so parking was a bit of an issue“

“We had a great experience visiting JSE coffee today off of Military Road. The workers were nice, kind, and helpful! As well as patient:) Then, just as important as good customer service was the taste of the drinks! Both my husbands and mine were very tasty- we are from out of town and I wish I could bring it back home to Boise! But now I know pistachio and matcha go well together. We also got burritos, and they were surprisingly better than I thought they’d be. The barista recommended the taco sauce which was a definite yes! And the pumpkin bread was such a large slice and very moist. Thank you for staring our trip on a high note! Best of luck to your business!“

“LOVE that there's a new Bluebeard on South Tacoma Way. As always, the coffee is excellent and the pastries are meh. It's very spacious so it's great for bringing a laptop, but they seemed to be short staffed the last time I was there so service was slow.“

Lots of times independent coffee shops have a different taste depending on the day and who is making your drink. Classic coffee is a good value with a great variety of selections. “Food and service was fine, but because the friend that I was meeting with normally wears hearing aids that were in for repair. The music was then too loud for her to hear me talking and uncomfortable for her. Fortunately, there were tables outside and the weather was nice. If not, we would have had to find somewhere else to talk about trip planning.

“I forgot to leave a review when I first tried this place! My first ever experience was either last week or the week before and it was around 2? The lady who served me was such a kind human and despite me not having my glasses and just picking something haha she was able to make it perfect!! Parking: I am in walking distance and I don't drive sadly, so I can't help to much?

Kid-friendliness: Oh gosh as someone who suffers really bad with social anxiety to the point that I avoid places commonly, I felt safe in here. So a kid would love it!!

“If you're trying to find a bikini free location, this place is safe, haha. I've been coming here for years. I'm big on white coffee, and they make many amazing white coffee drinks. Typically, I get an iced drink and have them make me whatever. The staff is awesome and part of the reason why I keep coming back.
