Have tried others and the coffee never tastes strong enough, or the drinks are overly sweet. I grew up here but lived in LA for over 10 years and was spoiled by the variety of great coffee shops there. Moved back and thankfully found this place! They have a variety of handmade coffee, teas and noncoffee drinks with unique flavors as well as the classics. To my surprise and delight, this cafe is charming with a wonderful staff that always greets you with a warm hello and smile. “There are no words to describe how wonderful the staff in this shop are.I was having a horrible morning. I lost a close friend yesterday, and It took everything in me to even leave the house this morning. I had never tried their bagels but had heard amazing things, and I really needed something good to start my day.I placed my order, and after the cashier sent it back to the kitchen, I realized I didn't have my wallet. I wanted to curl up and cry right there, and I just about did.These angels still gave me my bagel—no guilt trip, no "just this once." The amazing woman behind the counter told me, "Everyone deserves kindness; all we ask is that you pass it on."It may seem silly to cry over a bagel, but I started sobbing like a baby when I got in my car. They had no idea what was happening in my life, but they still chose to do that for me. You have no idea how much that gesture meant to me. “Bought a bag of Morning Sun whole beans. Package says it's a darker roast. Darker than what? Water? We tried it three mornings in a row. With no other whole beans in the house, I had to switch to instant coffee. Morning Sun is NOT a dark roast. Sorry to say I was very disappointed.“

Moved to hilltop in 2020 and it was right down the street and I went near daily M-F and Katie and the other baristas were always fantastic and made a top notch latte. This is not the place to find a sugary Starbucks replica - it’s the kind of place that serves an absolutely magnificent latte or cappuccino, and other no frills options.Their in-house roasted coffee beans are high quality and the flavor unmatched. They also have a nice display of coffee merch on the counter. As I was about to pay, I looked at the pastry display which looked very appetizing so I decided to get something. Surprisingly they sell Milkvue donuts so I had to grab one to go with my coffee. Overall, a nice place to grab coffee and to people watch.
