“This cafe has creative signature drinks as well as the cozy classics and great coffee. The atmosphere is lively but still cozy and the baristas are bubbly, helpful and skilled.I think what really pushes them to 5 stars is the attention to detail in their aesthetic for drinks, food and cafe. Plus, there is a great mountain view from the back window“
“Hidden gem. A little hidden in a parking lot, so if you're just driving down the street, you'll miss it, but I always get great customer service, and the coffee is good with even better prices! The set up is really awkward when a line begins to form, it can get confusing. They do have a walk up so you can order ahead and skip the line??“
“My wife and I absolutely love this coffee place! Best drinks and service, hands down! We introduced a few friends to Driphouse who live in Gig Harbor, and now when they are in Tacoma they will drive over just to get drinks. So delicious! I cannot recommend them enough. Love, love, love!Kid-friendliness: Our son is always treated with patience when he doesn't know what to order. They are always kind to him.“
“I was truly surprised with the assortment they still had at the time we arrived, around 10:30 am. They keep a full variety of baked goodies throughout the day. The prices were fantastic! The sizes were amazing! We came to surprise my daughter's work with some pastries. We had so many items to choose. I have attached their menu. They have regular, gluten-free, vegan, and the kiddos will go crazy just looking at the window to see what they have. We definitely had to get the gigantic cinnamon rolls, which were out of this world! Also, cake pops, gluten-free brownies, rice crispy treat, cannioli, cup cakes, monkey bread( which was gigantic), and some delicious breakfast muffins. Everything was so fresh, scrumptious, and absolutely devoured. The staff loved our choices! We will be back! Definitely going here for upcoming birthdays ? Dietary restrictions: My daughter has celiac disease. They have a huge assortment of yummy gluten-free options.Kid-friendliness: Kids will love love it place and all their sweetsWheelchair accessibility: It was easy to enter“
“I live upstairs and before they were cremellos I’ve avoided this place. I popped in because I saw how delicious everything looked on ig! Omg the Monte cristo smacks! The coffee… top tier. The staff is sooooooooo nice!!! Love that ? I feel like customer service is dead now days. But that’s not the case here. Definitely coming back and telling everyone I know.“
“The women upfront was very nice and I watched as she had to very nicely confront two teenagers that look like they were going to dine and dash. She did it very respectful and professionally. The Dole whip and the passion guava where my favorite flavors and they were amazing! I still think about them! Love the touch of having games there so you could play while you eat!“
“This has become our spot for coffee and hot drinks! Far superior to other places, especially Starbucks. Love you guys, keep it up!Kid-friendliness: They have great options for kids. My daughter loves their hot chocolate and whipped cream on top.“
“I absolutely LOVED the pink decor, cutest coffee shop ever! I had the best coffee and an amazing breakfast sandwich that was full of flavor. I highly recommend this shop and they have the kindest staff. Thank you for all of your hard work and the heart that goes into this place! Will definitely be coming back ?“
“This was a nice spot downtown. It’s both the type of place people could enjoy a nice evening out and the type of place I could stop in to grab just a regular cup of coffee before heading to my conference. Everyone was super friendly and I could see they are tied in to the community and wanting their customers to feel like regulars.“
“Best donuts in Tacoma nothing supper fancy or off the wall just normal delicious donuts! These donuts our more on the cakey side than the supper greasy melty donuts. ( Although the original glazed still melts in your mouth) great prices CASH only and can you blame em??? If you haven't tried their maple bar YOUR missing out! Family owned since the beginning very nice people!“
“Magical place. masters brewing the most delightful flavors. I bought 4 bags! but my favorite was the funny little owner who told storys as he brewed our tea and made us feel like special guests.Keep up the good work by having fun in this incredible space.“
“I am not one to leave reviews but I LOVE this place. I get to stop here once every other week on my way to take my son and his friend on an outing. I find myself looking forward to it every time! I have tried several of the sandwiches and the bagels both of which are amazing. I’m not a huge coffee gal but I have tried the matcha tea and the sunrise wellness drink which is AMAZING! I like that this stand has so many different options and everything seems relatively homemade. I’m a picky critic but this is a place I’d recommend!“
“Greetings from New MexicoTo the only place I've reviewed and given full stars to for food, service, and atmosphere. "Cheers" to you. I'm missing my energy drinks of Kim Possible/Tigers blood with OJ and cream. New Mexico is lacking but trying with their coffee, I tip my hat to them. Tell the morning bus driver to be safe!“
“Dam it! I am hooked on the coffee! If a place knows how to roast they definitely have fantastic coffee! I grew up with coffee roasters and they won my heart! Valhalla Blend is so me! Very small but don’t miss this hidden gem! Hoodies are a must to buy!“
“Hands down Manifesto has been the top coffee shop thus far in my life. Moved to hilltop in 2020 and it was right down the street and I went near daily M-F and Katie and the other baristas were always fantastic and made a top notch latte. This is a coffee shop for people who love coffee for what it is, and its inherent flavor. This is not the place to find a sugary Starbucks replica - it’s the kind of place that serves an absolutely magnificent latte or cappuccino, and other no frills options.Their in-house roasted coffee beans are high quality and the flavor unmatched. We moved out of state over a year ago and I still order their coffee beans in a 3lb bag every couple months. I don’t see that ending any time soon. I hope they never go out of business because I would actually cry over it. Manifesto - don’t ever change!“
“This place is amazing! Whenever I bring coffee drinks to friends from here, they are always complimentary. The baristas are top notch friendly. The lovingly tended garden offers a special sense of place when you go through the line on that side during growing season. Highly recommended. You will need to bring cash if you want to tip. (And you will want to tip! ?)“
“Excellent inviting cafe, friendly staff and delicious food. Kids found this establishment for us to have brunch at before the ice show at Sprinker recreation. They have a market on the opposite side of the restaurant as well. Recommend to dine here, we'll be back.“
“We were looking for a cute and intimate coffee shop to go to to have a meeting. Coffee Kitchen was just that. It was so cleaned, well designed, and so cozy and intimate. There are a ton of options on the menu it was hard to pick one, but I had the breakfast waffle and an honey almond latte. Both were AMAZING! Absolutely DELICIOUS. I loved it and highly recommend you give it a try.“
“The cutest little cozy Cafe Lakewood NEEDED. There's 1 (or possibly 2?) private rooms for groups to chill in, but also a really cozy open area with a fireplace-heater to sit and enjoy your coffee. As a lover of good foam, my lattes have been great so far and the gal always comes around and hands it to me directly, which is very sweet. Love this place, would definitely kick back here with company.“
“Legit. My ginger spice cortado was respectably solid. My girlfriend's gochu/gang hot chocolate with an added espresso shot was amazing. Pastries were solid. Cute, authentic vibe. Really what made it five stars instead of four though was how kind and welcoming the barista was, she made us feel right at home when taking our drink orders. Thank you!“
“This is one of the most authentically Tacoma businesses. Always a friendly neighborhood place to stop for a great coffee and pastry. This place offers something for both the coffee snob, who likes their beans single origin/small batch/locally roasted and straight up, and for the person who seeks a flavored mixed coffee drink in a variety of unique flavors. The coffee they serve is roasted locally by Manifesto, just a few minutes away. The pastries are from Spilled Butter Desserts, another great Tacoma business. My go to order is the White Chocolate Mocha Lavender, iced with a berry tart: it's always the best way to start my day!“
“I mean this in the most positive way: This place is peak hipster. Like, encyclopedia-reference hipster. Your standard offerings plus unique espresso-alternative options. I tried the mushroom mocha with an added shot, it was very different but good. The barista--I already forgot his name sadly--but he was super friendly and authentic, nice to chat with. Great place. Great merch and local market items as well!“
“If you take a look at my collections, I have made it my mission to rate every Bahn Mi restaurant in Tacoma. I've done almost 20 now. And I'll be straight up this is the best I've gone to. The service, sauces, freshness of the bread and veggies, and portion of meat all contribute to this. Cafe La Vie keeps it trill and y'all know I'll be coming back. 5 stars.“
“I was around the area and decided to stop by for some coffee. My main purpose was to buy some coffee beans. The coffee shop was small but had ample amount of seatings for people to sit and work. They also have a nice display of coffee merch on the counter. As I was about to pay, I looked at the pastry display which looked very appetizing so I decided to get something. Surprisingly they sell Milkvue donuts so I had to grab one to go with my coffee. Overall, a nice place to grab coffee and to people watch. There's plenty of street parking nearby so it wasn't too difficult.“
“My go-to spot. Great coffee and prices, friendly baristas. Small lot and can get crowded waiting but 2 windows keeps things moving pretty quickly. Far better than starbucks as far as taste and quality. Punch cards for free coffee w/ repeat business. No clue why people pay for starbucks' overpriced burnt garbage when places like this exist. Bring your pooch they give whipped cream/milkbone pupp-uccinos!“
“Starbucks once again offers consistently and a moderately price product. They are my morning go to for the cup of coffee I enjoy. No matter where you go the coffee and experience are the same. Starbucks offers more than just a good cup of joe. You can one stop shop to fulfill your daily requirements of coffee, breakfast and lunch. Lots of sweet treats are also on the menu. I highly suggest give them a shot in the morning to get you on with your day.“
“This family owned deli is conveniently located in the down town business district in Tacoma, & offers a variety of good food, at a reasonable price. The sandwiches are delicious! And made with fresh ingredients. ( Side note, I believe they cater as well! ) Maria makes the BEST white chocolate mochas! I highly recommend this deli, good food, reasonable price, and friendly staff.“
“This place has wrecked me. They have the best coffee and best service. No coffee shop even compares. I feel like Cheers when I’m there and I get the updates on all the cool community events. Gotta stock up on more beans because no other coffee will do.“
“Wow! Cafe Azure is a must stop cafe in downtown Tacoma! The drinks, food, and service were all phenomenal. My barista Eden provided top tier customer service and made the best cappuccino I have ever had! This cafe was clean and also had such a good vibe. I can't wait to go back!“
“The coffee is cheap and affordable and better than Starbucks or any other coffee place. The staff are friendly and supportive of any walk in life you may be on and they won't turn you away for just about anything. I would recommend if your a local to make this your number one coffee hole it's on 21st and commerce right next to the Harmon building and Campos pizza and brewing.Wheelchair accessibility: Wast access ramp cement and wide open shop“
“I've been going here for about 2 months, they are always happy to you, they have affordable prices and drinks that are amazing, their specials never cease to amaze me with how good they taste, I definitely would recommend trying them ? it's worth “
“One of my favorite places!! I love the curated and rotating menu. If you haven’t been now is the perfect time to go because they have a delicious collab with Side Piece Kitchen. I tried the Thai Tres Leches and can’t wait to try the rest! I appreciate the customization options like non-dairy milk or decaffeinated.“
“I was craving biscuits and gravy while I was in the hospital waiting to give birth. Found this spot here in Yelp so my husband went to pick up some food and coffee. Coincidentally, the barista was also a doula and wrote a sweet note for me on my B&G box. The biscuits and gravy was perfect - just original .. none of the extra crap trying to make jt fancy. It hits the spot! My husband said the coffee was great too.“
“I visited bluebeard coffeeshop today. My overall impression was okay.1. Food: Latte Coffee was a bit too strong to my taste, but Blueberry Scone was pretty good.2. Service was also good, nothing out of ordinary.3. The atmosphere is a bit busy. I wouldn't come to work or study here( too many people, too much noise), but it's a nice spot to just hang out for a little.4. There is no designated parking, so it was hard to park close enough.“
“All the girls are always super nice, they have soooo many different mixed drinks (coffee and energy alike) I asked for a menu so I posted a picture of one. Their instagram page they always post new drink ideas I was mostly ordering things based off of their insta posts alone, and every drink is super good. I’m always nervous getting a coffee from new places but they actually have pretty good, strong coffee so I’ll definitely be going every now and then when I do get a coffee out and about“
“I'm a big fan for about 5 years. But today, Sept. 8th at 3:00pm, I had the BEST Chai tea blended with extra vanilla and almond milk and no whip that I have ever had.I don't her name, but keep her around. She is doing a WONDERFUL job!!!“
“Cute, fun hole-in-the-wall tap room. Amazing ciders and sours. Tried the bbq pork pans and Toms sandwiches, best sandwich I’ve ever had. Staff was super cool and friendly. Will be back just for a sandwich. Very clean in there too. 4729/10 reccomend!“
“After ordering flowers from terrible online florists who deliver old, expensive, and underwhelming bouquets, we decided to support a small business instead. So happy we did because our loved ones were stunned by the bouquet that A Rhapsody in Bloom put together. The website was easy to navigate and delivery was available starting the following day, which was amazing. The bouquet that was delivered was even better than the sample image online.Definitely felt the love that was put into the bouquet. Will definitely be ordering from here again!!“
“My husband and I come her EVERY morning. We love the coffee. Nothing like roasted beans in the morning. Excellent service, friendly staff. Always stocked on bagels. Jessie the owner is amazing. Truly a great place to get coffee. I wouldn't go anywhere else.“
“So happy this place is still here and survived COVID! It was a Friday tradition to grab an espresso when I was a student at UW-Tacoma. A great place to relax and unwind with friends. Friendly staff, and great options to please any pallet. Missed it and glad to have the chance to stop by!“
“This place is a hidden gem! Lots of flavor options. I tried the strawberry cheesecake smoothie and it was delicious. Of course you can tell there is protein powder in there but it isn't bad at all. They seem to have a wide variety of food options too I look forward to trying. The only thing I would like to see is expanded hours, I'd love to stop by after my morning workout at 6am but they don't open until pretty late. The service was great too! Please try this place out!Parking: The parking lot is tiny but it's not their fault.“
“We came here for brunch on my mother's birthday, and it was FAB-U-LOUS!Parking was a pain, admittedly, but that's a stadium district problem. As for Art House itself? Divine. We were seated quickly, served quickly, and satisfied quickly with friendly and informative servers with expedient and careful service. The atmosphere was fun and lively! With great window seating on a sunny downtown day.And the food? Oh my God it was wonderful! A touch pricier but worth twice it's cost in flavor, easily.I look forward to returning again in the future and trying more of their expansive, delicious menu in the future. And next time, I'll take the Link instead ?“
“I'm not one for coffee, prefer tea or Italian soda and they make an awesome creamsicle! I did enjoy the white chocolate white coffee with cream though it was a good change of pace! Awesome work team of Baristas thank youParking: Just a parking lot next to itWheelchair accessibility: Drive thru windows“
“Love it. A mile from home, the staff is awesome, they have a nifty little punch card that gets you a free drink every 10 drinks. Coffee is good, plenty of flavor options. Hard to get there with all the roadwork but I'll walk if I have to in order to support this local business.“
“I arrived just before closing and there was a limited selection. But still found some good stuff. I literally wanted to try everything. The man behind the counter was super kind! These doughnuts are HUGE! I love it. Downside is, since I got there just before closing I think the doughnuts had been sitting for a while. I was looking for a super soft bite but what I got instead was a thick and dense bite. Almost like a day old doughnut.I am going to have to go back mid day to see if that’s just how the doughnuts are, or if I just had an older batch.“
“This coffee spot is unique and I can taste the history of the building spill into the coffee. It’s as if the coffee itself tastes roasted with the architecture and building’s purpose in mind. Call me Puget Sound hoity-toity, but for those who order coffee everyday for decades from coffee shops, at some point one notice’s with great appreciation the subtle nuance in noted flavors altered by the experience surrounding the order - even if the same coffee beans are served at another coffee shop. It’s subtle, but there is something special about the coffee brewed here.“
“This place is super cute and great for studying! The service was really fast. I ordered a vanilla chai with oat milk. It was a little sweet for my taste but it was the perfect temperature so I'll know better for next time. The cookies were excellent warm and super big too.“
“We don't have these mom and pop coffee places where I live but when I go home to Washington state I have to get my coffee fix and this is an AMAZING place to get it and the workers are always happy and a pleasure to chat with!! Go here for your coffee fixes!!!“
“Very cute spot with beautiful atmosphere.Coffee was good, staff were friendly, open space with plenty of well arranged tables and a couch, clean restrooms, plenty of street parking and great opening hours.I had so much fun sitting by myself reading a book and doing computer work. Thank you!“
“** LOVE Curran Coffee**Curran Coffee is delicious! BONUS: food is good too. Ordered the Gemini Latte and bagel with garlic cream cheese spread. I always have bad luck with ordering food from coffee shops. It's usually generic. The bagel was hot, soft to bite into, and plenty of cream cheese. Could eat one right now. My Gemini Latte with oat milk was delish! It wasn't too sweet. It was busy when we went so get there early for seating. We lucked out when a couple left and found a table right by the window.Love that they are female owned and the owners were working which is a plus. They have a hands-on approach. This means they handle all customer complaints. As young as they are, you go girls! Can't wait to go back!Parking: Street parking which can be a pain.“
