“Ever since I moved away from home I craved that warm comfort Vietnamese food gave me. This is both affordable and comforting. Very flavorful and filling. The beef pho is my favorite and the caramelized salmon banh mi is to die for. Highly recommend! Will be coming back often!!“
“The colors of the walls are vibrant and alive, the staff are very upbeat and happy. If you're looking for a healthy place to eat, this is it! I was surprised and impressed by the size of my wrap. The cost of the food was even less than going to Subway AND got more to eat. My daughter had a fun time eating the chips they sold, and she enjoyed the fruit bowl.This is definitely a one-stop shop for a healthy meal whether it's lunch or dinner!Dietary restrictions: Very friendly to people with dietary needs.Kid-friendliness: My daughter threw her tantrum, but the staff were very positive about it. I felt bad, but they made it definitely feel like it wasn't as big of a deal and I always feel bad for everyone else around us when she has her meltdowns.“
“We love these donuts and the icecream is heavenly. Always a large selection of both and a friendly sales staff to boot. Always the same person so they may be the owner. They have lots of other goodies and drinks making for a one stop slice of happiness. We have to travel for this shop but try and visit at least once a month. The donuts here are fresh and have a good crumb as well as flavor. Worth a trip or if you're near be sure and drop in. Private lot shared with other businesses. No bathroom.“
“The cutest little cozy Cafe Lakewood NEEDED. There's 1 (or possibly 2?) private rooms for groups to chill in, but also a really cozy open area with a fireplace-heater to sit and enjoy your coffee. As a lover of good foam, my lattes have been great so far and the gal always comes around and hands it to me directly, which is very sweet. Love this place, would definitely kick back here with company.“
“I am not one to leave reviews but I LOVE this place. I get to stop here once every other week on my way to take my son and his friend on an outing. I find myself looking forward to it every time! I have tried several of the sandwiches and the bagels both of which are amazing. I’m not a huge coffee gal but I have tried the matcha tea and the sunrise wellness drink which is AMAZING! I like that this stand has so many different options and everything seems relatively homemade. I’m a picky critic but this is a place I’d recommend!“
“I’ll preface this review by saying I am cranky today and was a first time visitor.The experience at Gather today did help alleviate some of my cranky. Gather had the exact product I was seeking, and ready to leave in less than a minute after ordering, which was just a moment in time as well. All in all, I was in the building less than a couple of minutes and felt some cranky leave my body as I recognized the great service, product and vibe I just observed. Will definitely return.“

The art from local artists adds a unique touch, and the curated retail offerings from local makers (Black Sunflower candles and more!) are a lovely addition. The food is consistently fresh, made to order, and I appreciate the convenience of being able to order ahead when necessary. “I have absolutely nothing bad to say about bambu. Ever.Me and my family have been going there for years and years and no drink has ever disappointed. From vietnamese coffee, to a strawberry white rabbit, they have drinks even the pickiest of people will enjoy.(While it sounds simple, I suggest trying a smoothies like the passion in love or very berry and adding rainbow jellies or popping boba. You'll thank me later)The store is adorned with studio ghibli, pokemon, animation, and just generally cute themes! They also offer sweet treats like waffles and fresh mochi cupcakes. (Dont worry they have ice cream too)Their staff is so kind, helpful, and hard working. If you don't know what to order, or you are wondering what goes into the drinks ingredient wise dont hesitate to ask! The staff knows the menu inside and out and will be more than willing to talk to you about it.Also with so many places asking for tips now, its hard to know when to tip well and who deserves it. Let me help you out, the staff are mostly younger people high school age to like mid 20s. (This is because the owner tries to give jobs to students who struggle to find somewhere that will hire them as their first job) these kids are putting themselves through college, or trade school, they have dreams of moving to their own apartments and being able to afford them, etc. These are the people who deserve tips without a doubt. So if you can afford it, just click that 15% button and know that its going to people who will genuinely use it!Honestly, I've seen some boba tea shops that had drinks double the price that just weren't nearly as good. The bambu staff is also fairly heavy handed with the toppings (trust me, that extra .50 cents for your fav add-in is so worth it)Also, one of my favorite things is their rewards program. You actually earn rewards and real discounts! This isn't starbucks folks. You don't have to buy 8000 frickin drinks just to earn a free add-in. You can earn free mochi cupcakes and a free large upgrade on your drink!Bambu is also involved in the community here in Tacoma and is available for catered events and holidays like the much anticipated lunar new year celebration and halloween when they encourage all ages to show up all dressed up and snap a pic with their drinksThe space itself is so well kept and clean. The kitchen area is honestly one of the cleanest I've seen and you better believe that staff is wiping down counters, floors, and doing dishes every chance they get!The ingredients are fresh and tested for freshness every morning before opening. I have never felt there was a risk of any old, moldy, or expired ingredients making their ways into my drinks or food.Overall, bambu is the kind of place that makes you feel like a kid again. There is no leaving the store without a smile on your face and I swear your eyes will light up like a cartoon character when you try the drinks*special note: Although bambu is a chain, the owner of this specific Tacoma store is a ridiculously nice, hardworking, dedicated lady who is often behind the counter or working in the back alongside her staff. I see her put in so much effort to create this happy place for people and Tacoma is so much better as a community with her as a part of it. “Passing through Tacoma on the way home to Vancouver. I cannot say enough good things about this spot.Healthy food, relaxing spot and Bus, who served us, could not be nicer. Had protein oats, boiled eggs and the masala chai. My son had toasted bagel and the Homer donut. My son tried my oatmeal and loved it, he almost ate it all.You must visit this spot, you will not be disappointed!!! Thanks to Bus for the wonderful service and for being so friendly.
