“Fun place to eat, the food was what you would expect of a chick-fil-A. However, the service was really nice and understanding. I got a lemonade that was 80% pulp, and when I asked to change drinks, they were happy to help. Always looks clean and tidy. Also, the big windows to the college create an open and welcoming area to eat.“

“We LOVE Melon Seed! The food is unbelievably delicious and flavorful. The portion sizes are massive and could easily be multiple meals or shared between people. The "sliders" are basically full size sandwiches and can be mixed and matched. The staff/owners are sooo friendly, warm, and welcoming. The spot is small, colorful, and has great outdoor seating when the weather is good. Not to mention the frozen yogurt, which is phenomenal. They always give us a sample of the flavor of the day when we come in. The desserts are also huge and so yummy. The cheesecake and shortcake are the real deal. We bring everyone here when they visit! Cannot recommend enough. A gem of a local spot.“

“The food is amazing, and the service is even better. I have celiac, and the owners did a terrific job communicating and addressing gluten concerns. The menu does not have dedicated GF labels, but they follow protocols to avoid cross contamination and use tamari instead of soy sauce when asked for GF. I have been multiple times and never gotten glutened, will go back again and again.“

“I LOVE Mediterranean food and was so excited to try out Al Bacha in downtown Tacoma! My friends and I visited this Saturday and I ordered a lamb gyro. Let me tell you this was a top tier full flavor gyro. It was a huge portion of lamb, out of this world tziki, crisp lettuce, and all the vegetables. I also appreciated the drink case with every drink variety you can imagine. “I got shrimp spring rolls and a matcha bubble tea and also some chicken pho it was the best phon ever and the spring rolls were huge and the peanut sauce serving size we need more places like this I’m telling you they were so nice and the even gave me a special spoon for being so kind I went there once and the lady said I was very handsome and I just went today and she remembered me she is the best and the guy there he took my order like it was nothing although regular boba was out today I got matcha you guys need to come here it’s soooooo niceeeee best place I’ve ever been too“

“This is a cute, quaint cafe with good music. We were greeted as soon as we walked in with friendly smiles. I built my own salad and my partner had the sebi. Everything was so refreshing. I was fresh off of a three-day fast and this was just what I needed. DELICIOUS. I will definitely become a regular here because I've been cleaning up my eating.“

“We love coming here for absolutely delicious pizza, calzones, and sub sandwiches. It's not New York but in terms of vibe and food quality, it's the one that comes closest in Tacoma. There's a LOT of good pizza in Tacoma but this place is modest and you'd never know by looking just how good the food will be. Bonus points for serving single slices every weekday before 3 for the neighborhood high school students from the School of the Arts.Kid-friendliness: A perfect place to bring kids. “I think this place suffers from it's own success. I came here with my friends a month or so ago because the online reputation was so good. This place is spendy to the point that I expect a mouth-gasm and what we had was great but not to that level... not enough to justify the price. There were four of us and we ordered near half of the menu and everything was good but not excellent. The portions were all pretty small too, to the point that one should expect to order an app, a main, and a side dish, which is fine in a place like this, but each thing needs to be at a higher level than what they produced. The quality per $$$ is not there so we won't be back.“

“Dawson's is a great bar.. Been going there for years before and after softball games and they have always been great to us. Wait staff there have become friends and they actually have sponsored our coed team.. Their spicy chicken Sammich is up there with the best of em.. the wings have dropped off a bit ;) but we can forgive em for thatLove this place.“

“We had an amazing time. Our waiter was so friendly and prompt (I wish I remembered his name. ) We came in a Thursday night which was perfect to avoid the crowds. I was able to make a reservation and sit by the window. The bread was excellent it comes with salted butter and served warm. My sister said her long island was the best she's ever had. Our steaks were cooked well done as requested and still juicy and flavorful. Everything is essentially Ala carte although you do get a little bit of garlic potatoes as a garnish with your steak and a choice of soup or salad. We will definitely come again. Oh and my waiter made me a cappuccino himself and added flavor since I like a little sweetness to mine and I appreciated that very much.Parking: This steakhouse is located on the 11th floor of the EQC hotel so you have to park in their garage and go up to the hotel. Then you will go up again to the top floor and the entire floor is the restaurant. If you go on a weekend parking might be a little more inconvenient.Kid-friendliness: If you have well behaved children they can absolutely come. If you don't, please don't bring them and ruin other people's dinners. Especially at these prices you're paying for the experience as well as the food.“

“So my wife and I we're on a date downtown in gig harbor and we wanted some pizza so we wandered in with only about 20 minutes left till close and asked if they would like us to order takeout instead to save them some trouble and they told us to just go ahead and sit down. They were awesome! They have amazing pizza that I think is even better than fondi's and They have great customer service. Very kind people!!!!!!! My wife would also like me to mention that their ranch is exquisite.“

“We 3 people, had lunch here, the food good with main entree + soup or salad and delicious bread stick.The waitress should learn more about experience to serve customers with different dishes (I do not want to mention her name). It seems pretty rude when she was not patient to ask which soup for who, to serve in the right person. Instead that she told to put in the middle of the table !!!! Not experience at all.“

“I had never heard of this bar before, I started coming when Sheri posted she was working here. I knew her from some other places so I was excited to check out something new and something close to home. We came a few times and really enjoyed the food. We came once when it was Sheri’s day off and the service was horrible. The bar had maybe 2 people, and there were 2 tables occupied. We were told we had to order at the bar. I could see the if it was busy…but why if it was so slow? We have definitely noticed a significant improvement since the previous manager left…not only more people but the people who work here just seem friendlier and the food has improved. My friends and I come often for the tacos on Tuesdays (which are so good) and we are happy to see the place so crowded and doing well!“

“My friend and I had a wonderful lunch at this sweet hidden restaurant in a neighborhood restaurant that serves lunch and dinner. We wach had a sandwich and we agreed very tasty and filling. Our server was so cheerful and managed the entire restaurant with exceptional organized service to all 20 tables. The only negative was the turkey soup was pure salt flavor and the chatter of people is echoing as there are only hard surfaces. Still I highly recommend and we will go back.“

I love Mexican food and this place is by far so much better than others!! So, we went again today. It was even better!! They are almost finished with a covered deck area too. I had ordered a few more pizzas to go, and the lady assumed I don't eat pork (I wear a head covering) so she changed the pizza cutter to a new one to avoid any cross contamination. I didn't even ask.
