“I love Medio, from the high quality food and drinks to the atmosphere. Their matcha is amazing and so are their other specialty drinks which are fun and delicious. Try the kimbap, chorizo burrito, or any of their baked goods, you won’t regret it. The cafe space is amazing for San Juan. There are very few places were you can hang out on island and these guys have it going on with the vibe they’re setting up, from the decorations to the variety of nooks. There’s a fantastic fireplace and some adorable options for kids. Really great spot. I recommend it to local friends and visitors.”

“Every time we visit the island of San Juan my husband and I make a point of going to the Golden Triangle in Friday Harbor. It has the BEST Thai food ever! We travel a lot and since our favorite cuisine is Thai, we often seek out Thai restaurants. Golden Triangle wins “hands down” for delicious, authentic meals, cheerful atmosphere and very friendly, accommodating staff. Don’t miss it if you are on the island. 5 stars!”

“This is located right on the Marina so a very beautiful place; we had the mango mania shake and the same with spirulina (green); the mixture of mango shake was good with the tajin spice, but mangos were sour ?
Adding the spirulina help a lot”

“The tacos are excellent. We got the carne asada, brisket, and the tofu. All were great and service was quick (<10 minutes), though it wasn't busy. Would easily come back again and again.

It's tucked away down an alley so just be aware of that if you're looking for it.”

“If you haven't had time to try the Friday pop up's; I'd encourage you to go & try. The food was innovative, beautifully plated & perfectly portioned. We loved that it came to the table 'Tapas' style (as it was ready). It was lovely to see so many vegetarian & vegan options too! 10/10”

“This place is top notch! Local, farm to table Italian food. They have several starters that could be combined for a meal with no regrets. They make their own pasta, light as a feather, nice sized portions, still safe to also get a starter or two. Entree options are always spectacular and the wine and beer selection curated to suit your meal. In season on Wednesday nights they do smash burgers (local meat or house-made veg patty, both delish). Burgers are 3:30 pm until they run out, cooked in the outdoor wood oven. I’m told the pizzas will be back soon, too. These are not ordinary burgers and pizzas, they are art. Dessert? One could come here just for dessert. The brunch served on the weekends is so ridiculously good. Not to be missed. This is not fast food, it’s sit a spell and savor food. Choose a table in the garden on a warm, sunny day. Inside it is cozy, too, with a communal table in the back or private tables in the dining room. Recommend. 👍 ♥️”

“Great little coffee stand if you are in Roche Harbor during the summer season. Ice cream starts at 11AM. Coffee was super good and the service was great. Isabel helped us at the register and she was very professional and friendly! We will return and highly recommend!”

“Absolutely beautiful view of the harbor and great coffees. There is not a lot of indoor seating so if the weather is wet and rainy perhaps take it to go.
Parking was a little questionable as most were reserved for hotel guests. We did find parking being a mid week afternoon day. However, I'd suspect on weekends and prime times it would be more challenging.

“My sister and I both ordered chai tea lattes. They were served in glass mugs and never cooled down. We drank very little since it was so hot, but what we did drink was a little watery. Disappointing. But what wasn’t disappointing was the breakfast wraps. These are huge and stuffed with flavor. We easily could have just shared one and still left full.”

“Authentic pizza place on an island on the opposite side of the country! Vinny is the true article with a straight to the point approach which I appreciate! The pizza was very tasty! Although I purchased a large pizza I also knew I was at the right place when I saw they also sell by the slice! Thank you sir! I highly recommend this if you are out on the island.”

“The China Pearl restaurant was given a poor review by our innkeepers. We thought we would try it anyway and were they wrong. \n\nThe food was good and they serve Japanese, Chinese, and Korean dishes. We had vegetable chow mein with tofu and szechuan tofu. They make their own noodles. Both dishes were flavorful. The portion sizes were good for two meals. Prices were reasonable. \n\nWhen asked more chili sauce was brought out. When I asked if they had anything spicier, I was given ground chilies, which were hot. \n\nThe restaurant was busy with several families and lots of take out. The current owners have had it for about a year or so. Highly recommended. \n\nThey cater primarily to carnivores and was nice they catered to vegetarians and gluten free diets.”
