“The aromatic scents called me in from the road. After a cold day working outside, I needed something warm to eat. I was greeted by a friendly cook who quickly took my order and began prepping my food. Within minutes, I had a hot and delicious gyro in my possession. With nice savory sauces, plenty of lettuce and pickled veggies, and tons of delicious hot lamb, this gyro is the best thing I've had on the island. The pita was warm and fresh which made the pairing of it all that much more enjoyable. You get a decent amount of food for only $11! Enough to share, definitely. I will be back again.“

Prosciutto wrapped grilled asparagus - just yes.The halibut was just a trifle overcooked, but I'm rounding up from 4.5 stars.Friendly, capable service that was distributed amongst the crew because of a built-in 20% service charge policy, which usually leads to competent but not exceptional service.“

“I LOVE Mediterranean food and was so excited to try out Al Bacha in downtown Tacoma! My friends and I visited this Saturday and I ordered a lamb gyro. Let me tell you this was a top tier full flavor gyro. It was a huge portion of lamb, out of this world tziki, crisp lettuce, and all the vegetables. I also appreciated the drink case with every drink variety you can imagine. “I've been visiting since it opened. However, I must confess it's been a while for my since in dine in experience. Purchased falafel this time time around. Authentic flavors never disappoint. Customer service is not bad but not great either. Maybe if I was in on a weekly basis, I might receive a warmer welcome. The seating area has not received any significant refresh since opening, but you can always rely on a soccer game being on.Update- Ordered Lamb Shawarma as seen in picture below. “Really good food. Love the lamb and beef gyro plate. Very fresh and tasty. Excellent rice too. They also have great baklava from Turkey(they even have boxes to go) and don't leave without a Turkish coffee! I stop in every chance I get.“

“I must say, this is one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant in quite sometime. Upon entry me and my SO were greeted and asked if ee had any questions and to please reach out if so. After looking at the menu we went up to order, even before I could begin my 21 questions about how items are cooked Amanda immediately inquired if I was vegan or vegetarian from my order requested. Amanda was extremely knowledgeable and undeniably thoughtful to take the time out to inform me of how the food is made, cooked, and the ingredients on menu items ect... This came as a huge surprise as I always have to asked so many questions to the individual taking my order, considering I am vegan and do not consume ANY animal products. Amanda, went above and beyond to accommodate my needs with a gracious attitude. When we finally received our food, it was plentiful, and delicious. This has by far been the best service I have ever received at any establishment. I want to genuinely thank Amanda for her exceptional hospitality and thoughtfulness. Not to mention after we wrapped up she stopped me to suggest a few vegan restaurants, that cater to my dietary needs. I may say I do not take this lightly and am grateful for individuals like Amanda that display such care and compassion. “Great menu with lots of options, both healthy and splurge options. We ordered the BBQ Brisket, the beef fajita, and the chicken pesto. All of them were served fresh and hot and were very tasty. For me it wasn't as big as I was expecting for the price, but still recommend trying it because it was yummy and filling. The staff were all very nice and super accommodating. The entire store was super clean, even the bathrooms! There were people dining but no line. We will definitely be back to try some falafel!!“

“Aye the food here is outstanding. However I'll be straight up and tell y'all: 1) they got my order wrong 2) it took over 90 minutes to get my food. Real talk. 3) they be overpriced AF If you're trapped in UP and have time and money to spend, I'd get it again. Otherwise go somewhere else. 5 stars for the Shwarma tho.“
