“I was at The Lodge for an afternoon reception and wedding, and Father Mulligan's has an extremely convenient happy hour from 2-5PM on Friday and Saturday. Suffice it to say, we stopped by to down a drink or two before the festivities.

The bartenders were very friendly and the cocktail of the day was a fruity vodka/cranberry/grapefruit cocktail topped with a fruity sour. It was very drinkable and our orders came out quickly.

Their wine list also has some unique gems on it, definitely worth a look.

The cucumber poke was so refreshing and the pickled radish that comes with the order is so fresh and crunchy. “No food service, but there is a street taco place around the block that I often visit before enjoying a few drinks here. Several varieties of imported Belgian beers are the specialty as the name suggests. Small groups, few booths, quaint and quiet. Not much has changed since I first dropped in 20 years ago. I should visit more often.“

“Stopped in with a friend to play some pinball on Wednesday 8/23/23. Pinball map was pretty accurate regarding pins on location, and the games we played were in good condition, spaced out well, and most had cupholders or tables close by. There were the requisite 40"-50" TVs playing sports set up around the bar, but they were not the center of attention - this isn't a sports bar. There were 4-5 pool tables, and all were busy by the time we left for the Ice Box around 9 PM. Stiff well drinks, a decent selection of beer, etc., and decent prices for the area. I like the square wooden-framed ~25'x25' area around the bar, away from the pinball and pool - it was kind of cozy and they had a corner with a mic set up for...music or karaoke or stand-up, or something else I guess. New owners revamped this place in late 2021 or early 2022, and they kept the dive bar atmosphere, but really cleaned the place up. No yucky smells, and I didn't feel like I had to wash my hands after I left. I know that's not a high bar, but I what I mean was that it was a pleasant and unpretentious place to hang out. Didn't try any food - maybe next time. Sorry, no pictures this time!“

“We frequent Amaro and have for nearly six years. It is, by far, one of the most consistent restaurants around. Their food is always delish and the service top notch. Sherman is wonderful! Great place to come with a group, as a couple or even on your own. We enjoy the bar and the bartenders when it's just the two of us. “I had the best experience coming here! From the host Dannon, to our server Anna, service was top notch. My party and I all had lots of questions and everyone was super helpful.
The food was as is described; comfort. The lumpia was a stand out as well as the veggie patties. Next time I will definitely be trying the Ube Bread Pudding.
