“Another great visit to Ruby. Nice that it’s open on Mondays when a lot of other spots are closed. Excellent service and friendly barkeeps. Highlights were the Pluto and the Scoundrel but all the cocktails were excellent. About 1/3 full on this particular Monday. Love the dogs on the walls and the ones in the bar. Great spot!“

I am vegetarian and there were SO many amazing options to choose from. I personally LOVED the Inari and the tofu nuggets. “Check your bags and receipts BEFORE you leave! Shady practices. ​I want to love this place because the food is actually great, but their front-of-house staff and takeout service are a total mess. I’ve eaten here and ordered takeout a handful of times recently, and every single time there is a 'mistake' that feels incredibly intentional. ​They seem to have a major habit of shortchanging to-go orders. I ordered the Hawaiian burger to go, got home, and it was just a dry patty and a bun—absolutely zero toppings or pineapple. Another time, I caught them trying to hand me a beef nacho order that was literally just chips and meat with none of the advertised toppings. Then, just yesterday, I ordered the $24 Birria taco plate to go. When you eat it in the restaurant, it comes with 3 tacos. In my to-go box? Only 2. When I called them out on it, the guy just shrugged, lied, and said they never do 3 tacos, then walked away to talk to another customer. ​On top of the missing food, their pricing is completely dishonest. They charge way more than the menu states (they snuck an extra $6 onto my bill for a margarita), and on a recent group dinner, they actually tried to run my card for the entire table's bill without even asking me first. ​Great kitchen, but the service is completely untrustworthy. If you order to-go, open every single container before you walk out the door.“

“I was at The Lodge for an afternoon reception and wedding, and Father Mulligan's has an extremely convenient happy hour from 2-5PM on Friday and Saturday. Suffice it to say, we stopped by to down a drink or two before the festivities.

The bartenders were very friendly and the cocktail of the day was a fruity vodka/cranberry/grapefruit cocktail topped with a fruity sour. It was very drinkable and our orders came out quickly.

Their wine list also has some unique gems on it, definitely worth a look.

“Headed down during a blue grass jam session, place was packed. It was freezing cold outside so I had a Hot Toddy and it was absolutely perfect. Great vibe, great people. Lots of families. I did not eat anything, but next time I will check out their food. I heard they have a farm to table restaurant moving in which would be awesome! If I had my choice, I would have Carolina Smoke BBQ come in and make it the blues capital of the eastside, but let's see what they come up with. HIGHLY recommended.“

“What a great surprise, did not know this was an actual diner. I always saw people outside late evenings so assumed it was a bar. But Google searched breakfast diners nearby and this popped up. Its got a super cute intergalactic theme, staff is attentive friendly and informative, great menu variety and ample portions. Absolutely loved their chicken strips, its got a nice peppery taste, crisp crunchy hash browns, omg the French toast was fire. I am definitely coming back, this spot is a hidden gem!
