Both owners are from Brazil and one of them is from the region acai comes from, so he has the best understanding of the way it should taste and the best quality of acai. We highly recommend the acai bowls and also the mini coquinas with the green sauce.“

They even have snacks and other protein options.The only main downside is the that the hours are inconsistent. I'll be honest... I accidentally took the wrong turn in Seattle and took the 520 toll bridge LOL!!! I thought, eh, I'm already going to Bellevue, let's get some matcha. I chose Café Joy as I knew there would be plentiful public library parking. FWIW, I used to work in Bellevue so I know all of the best parking areas

Anyway, I visited on a very sunny Saturday early afternoon. The doors were open, revealing an already pretty packed establishment. Albeit, ample room for some to study or catch up with a friend. The menu was filled with many eye-catching items. I noticed they had a corn latte, so I asked the worker if it was possible to do a that with matcha instead of coffee. He suggested I order a regular matcha latte (sweetened) and then he'd add corn cold foam. Good idea! He did a really great job making the drink-- the color itself was vibrant and the taste was refreshing... most importantly, not too sweet

The staff is genuinely kind and friendly, and also knowledgeable on proteins and vitamins that they have in their smoothies and also that they sell in store. I’ve bought protein powder from them, and it’s delicious!! So why go back there if I can now make my own smoothie at home now? Because they make it taste so much better than I do 😂 and the people are pretty great!

“La Copa has the best coffee in the area. Their staff understands the science and art of pulling espresso shots and their machine is calibrated properly so your drink is well made. They have a nice variety of food options made on premises and everything is delicious. Our favorites are the breakfast burritos (huge and yummy), the coffee cakes (flavors rotate), GF banana bread w/ chips, the danishes, the marzuka bars, the cookies, and the turkey pesto panini. The owners and staff are hard-working and kind. They care about their locals and the newbies. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You deserve it!“

is after they clean the floors the whole shop has a terrible chemical smell for awhile. They have one large fan to help circulate the air, but it doesn’t help much. It makes it hard to breathe and ruins my palette. Management should switch to an unscented cleaner, tweak the chemical/water ratio, or improve airflow. It must be hard on the staff to breathe that in during theshift. Also people coming in after their workout in the neighboring Planet Fitness.“
