“Lovely vinyl bar that actually SPINS VINYL!!!!!!! Love their selection of wine / cider / beer with plenty options available from tap. We were just coming from Copine next door so we didn't order any food but I bet their foods are just as tasty! I can't wait to come back for drinks and munchies. The vibes inside are just right for enjoying music, boardgames/doodling with friends or just chatting. They have beautiful garage windows that open up as a patio space where doggos are welcome to hangout as well. I personally LOVED their vinyl/fridge section and the color pencils / sketchbooks they had by the boardgames. It was a serendipitous moment to have found this bar while walking around.“
“Awesome dive bar with cheap beer. We ordered apps (mozz sticks and nachos), which were amazing. Fun atmosphere with college football on the TVs. Also, they have pinball and a few arcade games. I will definitely be coming back to watch more UW games!“
“I love this place. They do a lot to support our extremely tallented local music scene. Open mic nights are on Sundays- and the best artists are picked to play a "Sheldon's showcase." It's a great way for young artists, or established artists who are new in town to get a booking. And you get to see some really incredible emerging bands in a small, intimate venue.I don't drink (but still hang out here because it's awesome) but my friends say they pour strong drinks and the staff are all really friendly and laid back. The atmosphere is great- tall dark wood booths, brick and plenty of seating with a view of the stage.Check it out if you love live music. It's a cool spot.“
“We came here because my cis girlfriend is a woman who loves watching sports and she was very excited about the existence of this sports bar focused on women's sports. We were there for the sec championship game. It was great, very nicely appointed and spacious. The television/screen situation was super professional, the food was good and drink was quality as well. Very cool! We need one in la!!!Vegetarian options: Plenty. Very veggie friendly for a sports bar.Dietary restrictions: FewParking: Street parkingKid-friendliness: Bar.Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps but they also have a little lift thing for people to use. Flat once you get up the stairs and plenty spacious for a bar.“
“Quintessential pub with a cozy pub with a lm amazing pint of Guinness and a lovely staff. The only caveat is the men's bathroom needs a serious fumigation but the pub proper is excellent.Thank you for a nice evening.Parking: Just on street. Variable, based on the evening traffic and local drivers but there's space.“
“The shepherd's pie was apparently an entree but I swear it could barely feed my 2 year old nephew (at least it was tasty). Grilled cheese and tomato was tasty but not filling. Guinness tasted off, but for some reason we still ordered 3 of them.“
“This is a super chill place to hang out. Good drinks and food and the service is incredible! Katy always delivers great service with enthusiasm and a great sense of humor! I highly recommend this place if you want to catch a game and get some good food and drinks. LIFE IS GOOD!“
“Fun bar and restaurant! We went on a Saturday night so it was busy but we were able to get a booth on the back. Service was quick for it being pretty busy. We ordered the fish and chips (cod) and I was a little taken aback that it was shaped like a log, but it tasted good. I wish it had a lemon wedge. We also got the crispy chicken and it lived up to its name-- crispy!“
“One of my favorite places for beer and cider! The atmosphere is chill and there’s always something fun to do. Vinyl night on Sundays, live music on Saturdays, trivia on Wednesdays, the list goes on! Bartenders are fantastic people and I am definitely becoming a regular here.“
“I love to visit Prost whenever I’m in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood. The staff is terrific. They are very friendly and attentive. You’re never a stranger there because everyone will welcome you into a conversation. You should always order a pretzel. Soups are great, too!“
“Such a great little bar. Discovered it while I was doing laundry next door! Pizza is so tasty, great beer selection and the bartender on Mondays was super kind and personable! Reminds me of a little place I discovered in South Lake Tahoe that I miss!“
“This cozy, rustic bar and restaurant was a great place for my son, husband and I to get a bite to eat and watch the NFC championship game last Sunday. I thought the food was fresh and delicious and the staff friendly. Looking forward to another visit soon.“
“Dan assisted me in coordinating a takeout order for a baby shower for 18 guests. He made great menu suggestions, and packed and delivered the order himself. The food was delicious - Chicken & waffles, McMuffins, tater tots, a beautiful green salad with white balsamic vinaigrette. Super friendly and wonderful service - the group was very happy!“
“I really appreciate this neighborhood place. Pizza is good and I find their calzones even better. Some of the best I've had. They are super kid friendly. Noise level is okay - sit in the back for a little more space and lower volume for a conversation.“
“The Lamplighter is everything one wants in a neighborhood bar. Plenty of TVs for watching sports, free pool, pull tabs for days, and epically friendly staff behind the bar and in the kitchen.Parking: If the parking lot is full, there's plenty of street parking around.“
“My fiancé and I stopped at this bar on our visit to Seattle/Washington. We had a lovely time trying wine and Washington ciders, browsing the hiking books, and speaking to the owners. They were very kind and knowledgeable about hiking and plants - two of my favorite things!I don’t think I’ve ever left a review before on google, but I feel like I needed to because this was truly a lovely bar. (And I don’t even like bars very much!)“
“Decent food, atmosphere, etc. The real star here is the service; it's always good, unreasonably good (not a complaint). They're quick, attentive, pleasant, and overall just nice to deal with. No idea why or how, but I'd hire their entire team for a higher end spot.Good place to stop after a fishing trip, or boat work at the nearby marinas.“
“Odessa was such a great bartender tonight. Even though it was a busy Wednesday she still took time out of her shift to ask me what I wanted and needed to have a good night. A couple of people were being aggressive but she handled it with grace. I admire her and will be back at lock keel. she is one of my favorite bartenders and she showed it tonight!!!“
“Jessica is a gem. She took great care of us. The wings were terrific, the tots were crispy & the Lamb Sliders were a lovely surprise! Yum! Prices are spot on and the lively clientele make for “interesting” conversations! We’ll return for sure!“
“Alive with friends, it is a quintessential local watering hole. The food is okay, but a few tweaks could help it. For example the hamburger comes on a roll that is too big, usually dry, hard, and simply doesn't add to the experience, no matter how much care goes into the patty. In general the menu is tired and doesn't get much attention, even though it is a big part of the ale house. There is a new place going in across the street, related to Ridgewood by the Red Mill Burger joint. Competition is welcome and needed, but I feel the pricing at the new place will be high, like Ridgewood, and the regular Ale House crowd will stay put. The Ale House clientele seems to be in the 50s. I like it in general, now lean more on the tap beers and eat before coming in.“
“Went the day before St Patrick’s day. Great vibe all around, crowd aged 22-45ish, everyone getting along, wanting to be a part of what was going on. Karaoke came and set up around 830 which was a surprise and lit the place up even more. Bartenders were super nice, didn’t have to go out of your way to get service, they served in order of arrival which was refreshing, and impressive given how populated the bar was.“
“I’m giving them a 5 star for the price and the tastiness of an $8 burger and fries which is unheard in Seattle! I’ve been here many times and never thought about joining them for food and happy hour. It’s so cheap for their daily specials and the burger was delicious. You couldn’t go wrong with it and their secret sauce was delish. They have a huge outdoor area and you can even bring your pup (which I did). Nice spot for an outdoor area to enjoy HH drinks and the sun. The inside is quite large too and I’ve been there to watch sporting events and it’s a fun atmosphere. Check out their daily specials, wing night on Mondays for $.75 per wing, Tuesday $8 burger and fries, Wednesday $8 Toasty which is cheese sandwich and tomato soup, Thursday $10 Aussie Parma or schnitzel. It’s all sounds like a good deal! I’ll be back for other items on their HH list. The waiter was nice too! No complaints and it wasn’t busy on a Tuesday afternoon at 4. I’m sure it’s busy on big events and weekends. Fun spot!“
“This place had all the markings of a typical dive bar. There were plenty of TVs to watch sports and a couple of pool tables. The interior was dimly lit with more tables and seating in the back. It was a neighborhood bar with a lot of locals and frequent barflys.Their website said that their happy hour is from 4-7pm but when we arrived at 6pm the bartender said it was actually 4-6pm. She told us though that "it's not happy hour but our stuff is cheap anyway" which was a funny exchange and gave us a chuckle. She was right though because wells were $5 and the Moscow mule was $8 (although it was just okay). We played pool, watched some TV, and just hung out. It was a cool vibe.“
“If you want to stay away from drama, loud people & crazy young drunks... come here. Cheap drinks. Quiet bar full of mostly older folks. Service is a bit slow because usually they just got 1 or 2 people, but they're very nice. <3 Prepare yourself for lots of Dad Rock, but otherwise a great introvert bar.“
“Love King's. A little too young and crowded for me during peak weekend nights (but that's my issue, not theirs). Love their wings. The outdoor space is great. Good wait staff. Just great vibes all together. Only downside is that the bouncer (not sure if he's still there) has a major power trip and refused to let us in once because he thought one of the girls in our party was too drunk (we were 100% sober but it didn't matter to him.) Made her feel awful and ruined the night. Still giving the place 5 stars because I won't knock off a star just for a bad bouncer, but I considered it.“
“Shingletown is a country themed bar on Market in the downtown Ballard area. It's known for the indoor theme, hay on the floor, country music and a younger crowd. The staff here are great, super friendly and quick with drinks. They have karaoke some nights. At night, past 11, they are usually packed with a line to get in. Overall a fun place to come drink if you are OK being around a younger crowd shoulder to shoulder.“
“I feel like it needs to be said that the bar is under new ownership as of last year. Bobby has done a great job giving it a bit of a face lift, including refelting the pool tables. They offer some bites, but keep in mind it's pub food and not a Michelin star restaurant. We went for St. Patty's day and they had a phenomenal corn beef & cabbage. They are now open on Sundays for football and offer 1/2 off or free (can't remember but discounted) pool games. It's a dive bar, so keep your expectations in line, but it's a fun neighborhood spot with great staff and stiff drinks!“
“Don’t let looks deceive you; this little dive is a fabulous sports bar. Multiple big screen TVs, the food is actually delicious (try the cordon bleu sandwich, the coconut shrimp and the fried pickles). The new manager left at around 8:00 (it was super slow) and then picked up again around 9:00. The bartender Ella was on-point thereafter. My drink was never empty, and she was prompt with delivering my food. Should I ever be in Edmonds again, I’ll stop at this little, excellent pub!“
“Met a friend coming off the ferry, first time here, the staff was friendly and attentive, the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer was awesome, we liked then so much, we ordered another. We also ordered two entrees, fish 'n chips, and shrimp basket. Was a quiet place until Monday trivia night started about 6pm.“
