“Welcoming barkeep, regulars, enough screens for sporting variety, pool table if you need. No menu worth mentioning (one of those regionally famous minimalist bars in this regard) but you can bring in your own food from nearby spots; frequently someone orders delivery pizza, tip your bartender accordingly!!“
“We've eaten at the Savage Moose twice now, and each time we have really enjoyed the experience because of the great service and mostly because of the food. This time I had the fish and chips (hand battered cod, and lightly battered french fries) and my sister had the bacon cheese burger with potato salad. On our previous visit we had the poutine (this could use some extra cheese curds, to be honest), and got a club sandwich and a philly dip sandwich to go (I have to say the food is MUCH better eaten in-house). One of the outstanding things about their menu is its real house-made foods, made to order, using fresh real ingredients. The Savage Moose isn't much to look at from the outside, and the seating isn't luxurious or fabulous, but the food is honestly really good. It's a really great little local place that we are very glad we took a chance on.“
“I frequent this spot and always have a great time. Perfect for cozy conversations at the start or end of your night. You can’t go wrong with any of the cocktails and the horseradish vodka is a real treat if you’re into that kinda thing. 10/10 would recommend.“
“I came here a few weeks ago for trivia night with a group of friends. Let's be clear -- this spot is a DIVE bar. Having "college" in the name makes sense because it definitely gives off that vibe: eclectic aesthetic, dimly lit, noisy, filled with young people, and primarily beer and well drinks. These aren't detractors -- we actually had a great time and my squad thrives in these "hole in the wall" spots -- just an FYI if you're looking for a quieter spot to hang out. Given it was a trivia night, I'm unsure if service is different on other days, but it was fine. You order at the bar and, if you get food (which is mostly no fuss pub fare), you get a number and they bring it to your table. We shared a big pretzel with beer cheese and, while I didn't order an alcoholic bev this time, I did recognize they had a solid selection of beer, cider, etc. The pretzel was nothing to rave about, but the beer cheese was INSANELY good. The only reason this place doesn't get a 5 star review is because it's a tight space to navigate especially when it's busy and the food, for what you're getting, is a little pricey. That said, the trivia was great, the vibe is fun, and I can see why it's packed on a weeknight. Side note: this place is super LGBTQ+ friendly (or it was on the night we went). Major bonus!“
“Food, service and atmosphere are all amazing. I don't drink but the food is wonderful and I love the atmosphere so much. I'm the designated driver for my friends and I love just being here. It's so incredibly cozy and I love all the art!“
“Flatstick Pub offers bar games, trivia night, and a great beer selection. The drinks are well poured, the games are fun, and it's a nice place for team events. Good ambiance, good selection of drinks and food, and fun mini golf and Duffle board.Flatstick Pub is the perfect venue to host your next event, big or small ?Parking: Secure parking garage attached to the building“
“We came here because my cis girlfriend is a woman who loves watching sports and she was very excited about the existence of this sports bar focused on women's sports. We were there for the sec championship game. It was great, very nicely appointed and spacious. The television/screen situation was super professional, the food was good and drink was quality as well. Very cool! We need one in la!!!Vegetarian options: Plenty. Very veggie friendly for a sports bar.Dietary restrictions: FewParking: Street parkingKid-friendliness: Bar.Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps but they also have a little lift thing for people to use. Flat once you get up the stairs and plenty spacious for a bar.“
“Has all a person would want in a pub; special nights of games, big screen TV, pool table, etc. Good nachos. They let us use their back room for a non-profit group get together, thank you.Parking: Horrible... but it's a city neighborhood !Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, no steps at all“
“Lovely vinyl bar that actually SPINS VINYL!!!!!!! Love their selection of wine / cider / beer with plenty options available from tap. We were just coming from Copine next door so we didn't order any food but I bet their foods are just as tasty! I can't wait to come back for drinks and munchies. The vibes inside are just right for enjoying music, boardgames/doodling with friends or just chatting. They have beautiful garage windows that open up as a patio space where doggos are welcome to hangout as well. I personally LOVED their vinyl/fridge section and the color pencils / sketchbooks they had by the boardgames. It was a serendipitous moment to have found this bar while walking around.“
“I love this place. They do a lot to support our extremely tallented local music scene. Open mic nights are on Sundays- and the best artists are picked to play a "Sheldon's showcase." It's a great way for young artists, or established artists who are new in town to get a booking. And you get to see some really incredible emerging bands in a small, intimate venue.I don't drink (but still hang out here because it's awesome) but my friends say they pour strong drinks and the staff are all really friendly and laid back. The atmosphere is great- tall dark wood booths, brick and plenty of seating with a view of the stage.Check it out if you love live music. It's a cool spot.“
“If you are passing by, look through the window, and decide to walk in, you'll get exactly what you're looking for. If you decide to keep walking, you won't be missing much. This place is like Moe's Tavern, except with a good beer selection. There's no food, but you can bring some in.Theres some board games to play - classic (chess and go), or party games (say anything, pictionary, etc). Or, you can chat with friends and strangers, or read something. The large front windows make you feel like you're never too far from the street and makes for good people watching.“
“Wonderful spot to grab a drink and play some games, been involved in their events, and their prize support and community seem to be a lot of fun. The wall of freeplay games are very welcoming to newcomers, and the rotating drink selection is top notch“
“The shepherd's pie was apparently an entree but I swear it could barely feed my 2 year old nephew (at least it was tasty). Grilled cheese and tomato was tasty but not filling. Guinness tasted off, but for some reason we still ordered 3 of them.“
“Hadn’t been here in years and was BLOWN away by how good the food was. Nothing special as far as service and it was so loud we couldn’t talk… but the food… OMG! So amazing. Can’t wait to go back!Dietary restrictions: I’m GF and that Miso Salad was divine!“
“Wow. Just wow. Never have I had such an amazing tater tot combo as the "ancho tots". Queso, flavorful pulled pork, cilantro, tortilla strips, and tots are a winning combo. So heavy, but great to share as a once in a while treat. The green goddess salad was also an amazing combination of ingredients and flavors. The cocktails are good, although fairly expensive. Nice atmosphere, with outside seating when weather permits. Service was a little slow to get our food out, but worth the short wait.“
“Quintessential Bar and Grill in the Heart of Tangletown. Flip Flop and Crocs kind of place. Don't expect to sip a fancy cocktail while enjoying hors d'overs. This is draft beer at a perfect temperature. Unpretentious food and super friendly service with a few well placed TVs showing local sports. Great place.“
“Quintessential pub with a cozy pub with a lm amazing pint of Guinness and a lovely staff. The only caveat is the men's bathroom needs a serious fumigation but the pub proper is excellent.Thank you for a nice evening.Parking: Just on street. Variable, based on the evening traffic and local drivers but there's space.“
“Really cool little Irish pub. Food is really good, but I would think they would have more Irish beers on tap! I bet expensive, but then, everywhere in the city is nowadays, so there you go.Parking: They're a street parking available, but it is a highly occupied residential area and can be difficult to find parkingWheelchair accessibility: Reasonably accessible to those with mobility impairments“
“Lewis; Sunday bartender, exuded a great Sunday service. Wonderful location. Friendly bartenders! All days!Great after show spot for a post concert - event!! Better than any surrounding bars! The best dive bar to be found near Climate Pledge, hands down!!!“
“Always delicious and one of the best taps on the Eastside!! I had the special patty melt, confit onions and it was so yummy. Their fries are also some of the top fresh cut fries around. Service is always fast and helpful. Two must try items are the Brussel sprouts and the cheese curds!“
“Fun bar and restaurant! We went on a Saturday night so it was busy but we were able to get a booth on the back. Service was quick for it being pretty busy. We ordered the fish and chips (cod) and I was a little taken aback that it was shaped like a log, but it tasted good. I wish it had a lemon wedge. We also got the crispy chicken and it lived up to its name-- crispy!“
“We four had dinner and drinks; two among our party live nearby and are regulars. I really enjoyed the Bibimbap I ordered with beer!BEER/WINE: 4.0. Good selection of beers, and limited but decent wines. We were all satisfied with our choices of beers and wines.FOOD: 4.0.- Bibimbap: 4.5. A real standout and I will order again. I hadn't had Bibimbap this good since living in Hawaii and Guam. I chose to have with Tofu, though beef is also available. Especially good with a cold beer.- Sashimi: 3.5. The Japanese person in our group rated her DELUXE DINNER as quite good for previously-frozen fish, and says she would order it again. I ordered one tako sashimi and would rate it a 2.5; in future I won't order individual sashimi.SERVICE: 3.5. Enthusiastic and accurate.AMBIANCE: 4.0. Indoor and some outdoor seating. It became quite full by 6pm on the Friday we visited (with a full parking lot), but never got so noisy that we couldn't easily carry on a conversation.“
“We were visiting from out of town and a close friend recommended this place. Paul and Jake were so welcoming and made sure that we had an enjoyable experience. The pizza and drinks were phenomenal. They had a wide selection of craft beers. The ambience speaks for itself, but what really stood up was how friendly everyone there was. I highly recommended. This is a Seattle bar that everyone should come to.“
“This is a super chill place to hang out. Good drinks and food and the service is incredible! Katy always delivers great service with enthusiasm and a great sense of humor! I highly recommend this place if you want to catch a game and get some good food and drinks. LIFE IS GOOD!“
“I visited Pub 70 with a group during a business trip. The pork belly tacos were very tasty and filling, and the setting right on the water made for fantastic views out the many windows. If you're looking for a good place to eat a little outside of downtown, be sure to check out this place.“
“Pretty chill place. Good drink selection and the service is good. Went to a couple birthday gatherings there. The outside area is nice and has plenty of seating. I wish they had more heaters though. Some of the seating area gets a bit chilly. All in all it's worth stopping in. The vibe is very good.“
“A perfect Third Place. Great spot to chill with an interesting beer. It's in a cozy house and is a perfect location to work or hang out. There's plenty of space, including an room upstairs that can be rented out for private parties.Check it out on Sunday evenings, there is a bluegrass jam session around 8 pm most weeks!“
“Lots of great local beer and wine on tap. They also sell canned NA beers and flavored waters. The in-house kitchen puts out fresh and delicious foods. The Truffle popcorn you can smell from outside and it will lure you in! I wish there were more vegetarian/vegan options (the cheeses used in the mac and beer cheese dip have animal rennet), but there is usually at least one veg option available. Had an amazing carrot curry soup on special there one evening. After 5PM there's a rotating food truck out front for even more food options.“
“One of my favorite places for beer and cider! The atmosphere is chill and there’s always something fun to do. Vinyl night on Sundays, live music on Saturdays, trivia on Wednesdays, the list goes on! Bartenders are fantastic people and I am definitely becoming a regular here.“
“Disappointing that to get additional drinks after being served our meal always seems to be a challenge. 1 drink prior to meal, 1 maybe when meal is served, but anything further you have to flag down wait staff - often not your assigned wait staff to get their attention. It's almost like there is an unspoken 2 drink maximum. This has happened on more than 1 occasion and not with same wait staff. I find this rather odd. Outside of that, we love the place and the food.“
“I love to visit Prost whenever I’m in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood. The staff is terrific. They are very friendly and attentive. You’re never a stranger there because everyone will welcome you into a conversation. You should always order a pretzel. Soups are great, too!“
“We hosted a community karaoke night to get folks excited for Volunteer Park Trust's Summer Series at the Amphitheater. Taelor and her team were so helpful in letting us host, and we had so much fun singing and getting volunteers and community members excited for the concert series. Thanks, Hopvine!“
“Reminds me of a small town, Midwest beer bar -- hasn't changed since the 60s and that's why people like it. Friendly and quick service. Lively, eclectic crowd but not too crowded. Stop by for beer and a band on a Friday night! They also have a good selection of wine.“
“friendly bartender. good amount of beers! good whiskeys, perfect place to catch a monday night or thursday football game (assuming it’s quite packed if it’s a seattle team playing) but great spot for an out of towner passing through. just divey/ sporty enough with nice locals. awesome exterior as well….“
“Ended up here on Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend. Overall a great lowkey pizza spot in the middle of the neighborhood. We split a pizza, fries and wings which was a perfect selection. Service was really friendly and would happily recommend this place to anyone.“
“There was a small group of us who'd gone in for trivia night. It's a funky little place with a scattering of tables in the front, pool tables towards the back (which are irrelevant for trivia night, of course), and benches on either side of the pool tables. Fortunately, we'd gotten there early enough to secure a nice table that fit all 6 of us comfortably.Reasonable selection of draught beers and a full bar. I got the Jellyfish IPA, which I hadn't had before. It's a local west coast-style IPA that was pretty good. I covered some of my friends' drinks across the evening (we traded off throughout the evening), and when I got the final bill at the end of the night, the bill seemed outrageously low. I felt bad, so I padded the bill with a good tip. FYI, the folks working behind the bar were so nice! They remembered me each time I went up to the counter and addressed me by name. It was a nice touch.Trivia night was so much fun! Our team didn't do exceptionally well, but we're going to have to come back and try again!“
“Nice location with a good selection of beer ???. There is space in the back stage where you can have a party with music and dancing. Kids are allowed, they don't provide food. The bartender is super nice . We came accidentally because other breweries didn't allow kids and we had a good time. I would definitely come again.“
“Such a great little bar. Discovered it while I was doing laundry next door! Pizza is so tasty, great beer selection and the bartender on Mondays was super kind and personable! Reminds me of a little place I discovered in South Lake Tahoe that I miss!“
“Food here is always always super great. Very adaptive to peoples dietary needs and prioritizing the freshest ingredients. The North City neighborhood has recently been sold out to people who only want residential units, but what those exact same people don't realize is once you push out all the mom and pop businesses there's no reason to live in the neighborhood. Come to the Easy Monkey for food, stay for the music and a couple drinks. Return to support small business. Anyway, that's how I feel.“
“Used a Groupon at this location tonight and my husband and I had a great time! Groupon included a drink for each of us, round of mini golf, and take home glasses. Very friendly, helpful, and clear staff! Mini golf was fun. We ordered a pizza which was average but we didn't come for the food. Overall we had a good time and the customer service was excellent so we wanted to leave a review for that reason alone!“
“Going in on a Friday night we did have to wait a bit for a table and they are now "seat yourself". The food is really good and I am in love with their Moscito (mix between a Moscow mule and a mojito). The service was quick and friendly and we got a great picture of our group with the bison hanging on the wall. This is a pretty laid back place, not a ton of seating but they do have extra seating outside in the back, but I wouldn't necessarily like to sit out there during the winter.“
“Mikaila, the bar manager, was fantastic! She was very friendly, knowledgeable about all of the wines and beverage options, and offered very fast service! It’s also awesome to be able to bring in food from the QFC deli and the drink prices can’t be beat!“
“Dan assisted me in coordinating a takeout order for a baby shower for 18 guests. He made great menu suggestions, and packed and delivered the order himself. The food was delicious - Chicken & waffles, McMuffins, tater tots, a beautiful green salad with white balsamic vinaigrette. Super friendly and wonderful service - the group was very happy!“
“Coming from Wisconsin where bars and taverns are a way of life, to have found this establishment was what a guy 1800 miles from home could find! Has the feel of a small town local neighborhood bar! Great service, good prices and the food smelt delicious but didn't have time to try it out for myself, guess I'll just have to go back for that!Parking: It was a bit busy but to be expected with it being right around quiting time!“
“Walked past one Sunday and saw that they were polishing their wooden floors.(they were immaculate) I head back on a day when they were open and they were playing TV Girl, Alvvays, Tame Impala?!Food was great, beer was excellent and some great tunes were playing.Making my way back right now.“
“I've been coming to Fiddler's since before I'd even moved to Seattle, nearly 20 years ago. In fact, it was one of the criteria that I used to pick the house I ultimately purchased (that my abode would have a pub within walking distance). It's a funky place, having been in constant use as a pub since 1934. The acoustics are terrible when there are a lot of folks in the pub or a band playing. And the clients varies from the crusty old-timers who've been coming in for decades opposite the millennial crowd who've moved in locally and have adopted it as their neighborhood pub. Still, I love the place, and although it's not as frequent a haunt for me as it once was, I still enjoy the occasional visit. This afternoon, my girlfriend and I met my parents for a some brews and food. There is no longer table service; clients need to go to the counter to order beer and food. We ordered a round of beers--they have 10 rotating taps, often with beer from the PNW--and food. Since it was mid-afternoon and we were already reasonably full from lunch, my girlfriend and I opted for the Firehouse nachos for the table (the Firehouse nachos have been on the menu at Fiddlers as long as I can remember). They were yummy, as always, and a great complement to our beers. My dad ordered the SCBLT (Smoked Chicken BLT), one of his favorites, and my mom the Big Papa Baked Potato, which she almost always orders. We all really enjoyed the food. There was a miscommunication with our order, and the server brought the meal of the day, the Beef Stroganoff Baked Potato, instead of the Big Papa as my mom had wanted. My mom really didn't want the special. The waiter was accommodating and made sure my mom had the correct order. All interchanges were pleasant, as has always been the case at the Fiddler. Hoping to continue being a regular patron at Fiddler's for the next 20 years!“
“Solid bar food. Fries looked fantastic from afar. Beers are good and options are solid — even if I am not a drinker. We were here, as the Brits and HongKongers would say, for afternoon “tea” so we didn’t eat lunch or dinner but ordered the meatballs and pretzel.3 meatballs covered in melted cheese. Hearty and filling. The pretzel is good and comes with 2 dipping sauces: honey mustard and something else. Also pretty solid. For this one visit, I’ll give them a 5 star.“
“I really appreciate this neighborhood place. Pizza is good and I find their calzones even better. Some of the best I've had. They are super kid friendly. Noise level is okay - sit in the back for a little more space and lower volume for a conversation.“
“Great like their sister restaurant, the 74th Street Ale House on Greenwood, which is an absolute favorite of ours. Casual pub with friendly service and good food and drinks, and with a slightly expanded menu from 74th. I really enjoyed my mahi mahi tacos on my visit and have my eye on that hummus plate in the near future. They also had some interesting drink specials. Very happy a friend is opening a shop on QA so that now we can add Hilltop to our regular rotation as well.“
“SO AMAZING. It was such a wonderful experience, and I hope whoever manages this place gives Linsey (I hope I am spelling it right) a huge raise. We came in around 10PM and she was so kind, attentive, and personable. All the cocktails were amazing, and I can see from the way she and the other bartender (whose name I didn’t catch unfortunately) were both amazing with service, skill, and professionalism. There was also a sense of friendliness and although the bar was slow when we were there (about 6ish people?), there was still a really lovely atmosphere fostered by the two working in how they engaged with customers and made sure everyone was taken care of. I can’t recommend this place enough. Also I’m so sorry if I got the name wrong, I was busy salivating over the amazing drinks she made.“
