“This was a fun spur of the moment stop. I was in need of a drink and happened to stop by this location. Not only are the food and drinks authentic and unique, the store itself is such a gem. They have a partnership with an art collective that had some very cute art and pins for sale. I got a tea and spent some time enjoying the atmosphere reading a book. Would come back to! Staff was also super friendly.“
“We ordered mocha, matcha latte, almond croissant and cinnamon roll croissant. Everything was amazing especially the bakery. The almond croissant was the best I've ever had, very nutty, hint of marzipan and the crust was perfect! Besides, the cashier was really nice and friendly, very helpful and the store was super chic and well decorated.“
“I came here with my boyfriend expecting it to be good. It exceeded expectations though. We wanted a cold brew, but they did not have it. We got an iced coffee instead. Normally I don’t like iced coffee because it tends to tastes burnt. This was delicious and smooth like a cold brew though. The staff were chill too. I highly recommend it.“
“Best coffee shop in Seattle - consistently delicious espresso & coffee, great food, the friendliest service, and plenty of comfortable places to sit whether working or meeting with a friend. The loft has the best view!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to entrance“
“I was feeling like a pile of trash today but the second I walked into this shop my mood shot up thanks to the atmosphere. The music, plants, and baristas made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I ordered their Natural Papua New Guinea espresso and it was a real citrus fruit bomb. They offer a lot of different retail roasts with a great variety of processes and some co-ferments which I LOVE. The beans are a bit on the pricey side ($23-$27 for 12oz) but the quality is 100% worth it. Overall, I highly recommend this shop if you need a welcoming space and love modern coffee trends.“
“Some of the best coffee in Seattle! Run from Starbucks and come here! Great pastry options and specialty coffee drinks change seasonally. I also get all my whole beans from here. Coffee specializes in lighter roasts that create fruitier, more acidic coffee, but they have something for everyone.“
“The atmosphere is excellent. It’s cozy in the winter and has a little outdoor/backyard oasis in the summer. It has cozy seating, a large collection of vintage frog figurines and other critter decorations, gluten-free treats like brownies from Nuflours, and a wide variety of dairy-free/vegan milk options. All the staff are great and the drinks are delicious. It’s the kind of weird & wonderful hole-in-the-wall coffee shop that seems to be getting more rare by the day. They also sell tie dye frog t-shirts for the discerning connoisseur of fashion.Dietary restrictions: Many vegan dairy-free milk alternatives are available. Some gluten-free food items are available.“
“Best coffee experience in North Capitol Hill by far! Very unassuming since it's tucked away in the Kaiser building on 15th Ave, but absolutely worth the visit. You can see how the staff takes their time making each shot perfect and I greatly respect that dedication. And if you get the chance, always try Jonathan's newest latte flavors! They do not disappoint.“
“Awesome, awesome! ! !It’s indescribable how beautiful the coffee shop is!There are beautiful views and comfortable spaces in every corner.I sat here, sat there, walked here to see the coffee beans falling, turned around and roasted, walked over there to see the coffee beans packed in rows, it felt very magical and interesting. .Drinking coffee with whiskey aroma or coffee with ice cream, both are delicious. I eat salmon sandwich in the morning and meatball pizza at noon. Maybe it is freshly made in the store, it feels very delicious. The service staff are very friendly and smiling. It’s well worth a visit!“
“Only been here a handful of times but the drinks are fantastic. Plain cold brew is on point. Flavor of an iced caffe latte with oat milk was so well balanced. The people working here are always kind and helpful. Do yourself a favor and make the trek here if you’re in the area. There’s lots of cafes in the area that very good, but I think you will NOT be disappointed stopping here.“
“When in Seattle, you must try coffee. So I took the suggestion and went to this small coffee shop. Rumor has it it's owned by a black woman. I enjoyed the coffee, the diversity and inclusion and reading the names of the plants cool spot to visit.“
“Cozy but spacious place with a fireplace surrounded by comfy chairs and a selection of large and small tables. Had the lemon-blueberry scone and the chai tea. The tea was hot, sweet and spicy and the scone was soft and tasty. Definitely, would go “
“I live in the area and stop in here often. The coffee is delicious, the baked goods are tasty and the people are friendly, everything I look for in a local coffee house.Prices are on par with Seattle coffee prices, they used to allow dogs, unfortunately the health department explicitly prohibits them from allow dogs any longer. They have outside covered seating, a dozen two person tables and one 5 personal table.Parking: Typical city parking but easily found around the area.“
“**Only complaint positive feedback is —-why everything “for here” came in plastic cups for water, disposable cups for coffees and boxes for food like our sandwiches. I saw two types of drinks served in mugs at other table but that was it. Seemed unnecessarily wasteful and perhaps lazy.Croissants sandwich w bacon was great, small for 7.50$ but tasty.Partner likes her avo toast that came with two slices and had interesting toppings on it.Vegetarian options: Avocado sandwich (open face)“
“This is a great place for coffee, treats and most importantly you are helping to support young adults who are experiencing homelessness. What a great place to give back to those doing through a hard time. The staff is amazing and committed to helping so many young people get jobs, housing, ect. Love their mission! Check it out! You won’t be disappointed.“
“Good selection of pour overs. Nice espresso drinks. Didn’t try the food, but heard good things about it.Congo beans tasted good in a cappuccino. Colombian natural pour over was very strawberry-forward with the white chocolate finish. Made on a Marco brewer.Chocolate croissant was a bit dry. But in the US there’s only a handful of places with really good pastries.“
“Bearing in mind that I love making espresso at home, and that this is a place that only sells roasted beans, there are 2 things to really really like about this place. 1) This coffee shop feels like it's lifted directly from Harry Potter's Diagon Alley. It's got ancient, interesting, dusty equipment on shelves, it's dark, and wow, what a fun experience to go there. I kept gawking like a tourist. It would be tempting to try to host a Halloween party here. 2) Their dark roasts are OUTSTANDING. Now this is a place that doesn't believe in non-dark roasts... so I'm not sure I'd even ask. This is old-school espresso, dark, oily and delicious. I hesitated to put it in my grinder but I'm glad I tried it. It's actually partially converted me that dark roast can be a good thing that I will bring into my rotation. Ok a few smaller things to note: A) cash only B) weird limited hours (which add to the intrigue) of Tue/Thu and some Sun C) they will let you buy as little as 1/2 lb of any roast for like $7-8 D) they will make you a shot for $1, but no milk or any fancy stuff, just the shot E) if you want to see the roasting in action it happens on Sunday I'm told If you are a Seattle-area coffee nerd this is a must-visit IMO. Cheers.“
“Ordered a Cardamom & Caramel Latte. I was a little skeptical about the sweetness. Upon asking, the barista informed me that it’s a pretty sweet drink. They adjusted the sweetness on request to be less than 50% and the Coffee turned out to be great. Subtle and smooth.“
“We had a great time. The Espresso and Tea were very good, and the Pastry were delicious, The Chocolate croissant and the Apple tart in particular. The atmosphere was cozy and we were able to work for a few hours comfortably since it also has a good free Wifi service and enough electrical plugs to charge our laptops. The staff were all very nice and helped maling our stay more enjoyable and comfortable. They even suggested warming up the Pastry for us and served us the drinks and food directly to our table.“
“Some of the best croissants I’ve ever had in my life. Every pastry we’re tried as great. Very good coffee. Really can’t think of any negatives aside from the long line, and that they’ll be out of their most popular items if you get there later in the day.“
“Really tasty coffee and very helpful staff. I buy all my beans from here and get consistently good espresso pulls. Coffee is well balanced, with perfect amount of acidity and sweetness. Even when I screw up the shot, the coffee is seldom bitter. My favorite is the Lion share espresso beans.“
“My husband and I come here just for the outstanding service by Jenna and Ely. Yes, coffee and pastries are wonderful too but hospitality by these two baristas is out of this world. I can't brag enough about these two, they truly are the best and make connections with each person coming in.“
“Cool little spot right next to Ravenna Park! I love having places like this in the city! This building must be over 100 years old, with a huge fridge from the 1920's.... The staff was super friendly and the coffee was very tasty! I didn't try the pastries, but they looked yummy. I love places like this with real character that you just can't replicate today. I hope Seven Coffee cafe is here forever! Come down and enjoy these special little urban spots to make sure they survive!“
“This place is like a coffee shop with a touch of class. The people drinking there were of high quality, the barista was top tier. I had an apple juice so I can't vouch for the quality of the coffee at this location but if it's anything like the Roosevelt location the coffee is a cut above the rest.“
“My favorite coffee shop in the area. So far, I've only experienced good coffee that's been properly made and perfect coffee shop quietness. Such a gem of a spot. Remember how coffee shops used to be before starbucks took over?? This is it. Sweet staff, too!“
