Please please please give Spuds some extra love and support. My husband and I just witnessed (today’s date 1/27/2022) two men coming in grabbing and running off with Spud’s tip jar!!!
Absolutely despicable and reprehensible!!!! I hope Spud’s cameras can identify the men, but for now I hope some people read this and give some extra support to a wonderful business. 💕

Based on reviews, Spud Fish & Chips is a long-time favorite spot for many. The best halibut and chips are available, and the cod and chips is a popular choice. The clam chowder soup is always enjoyed, and the quality of the calamari is amazing. The fish is fresh, with not too much breading, and is fried to the point of being delicious but not soft and soggy. The chips (fries) are very good. However, some reviews note the cod can be the saltiest restaurant food ever, and one filet was clearly old, salty, and fishy. The chicken strips are good, and sauces like the Garlic Aioli and Go-Go Cakes are highly recommended. The staff is always friendly, fast, and super patient, providing great service with laughs and a welcoming atmosphere. The space is quiet and clean. Pricing is fair for two people; fish and chips, corn chowder, and calamari cost around forty-five dollars. The seating is not assigned. A walk in Juanita Beach and Bay Parks is a fun addition, as the park is right across the street, making takeout enjoyable by the water.
