“It's all in the name, don't ya know. Just get away, sit down, and have a beer. It's a proper bar. Locals on stools at the bar but they didn't mind that I took one that was unoccupied. The food won't kill ya and it will fill ya. Enough TVs on a football Saturday to keep your head on a swivel. Couple golf games if you're so inclined. Someone WILL talk to you here. And what more can you ask for if you just need to get away?“

“I had the best time I've had since before covid. Wednesday nights at 7pm they have naughty bingo. My husband and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. The food was amazing and a service was wonderful. Plus it was free to play. In the other room they have table games. And the people in there sounded like they were having a blast. This is a must go to for anyone adult. The dealers here are so nice and you can tell they enjoy the people and love this place.“

“Very cool bar near Greenwood with delicious drinks. The bartenders are absolutely amazing and keep the vibes up in the already neat atmosphere. They went above and beyond to make each drink special. Comfy seats, clean bathroom, and various snack options. It is a small venue so better for groups of 4 or less.“

We highly recommend the pineapple fried rice. It's super flavorful, umami with freshly grilled pineapple.

The seared tuna tataki was refreshing paired with soy glaze and veggies. I thought it was just a very tiny bit saltier to my liking but I would still recommend it. I generally prefer lighter seasoning but others will probably love it.

Lastly, I got the strawberry mint mule and it was very tasty.

We liked it so much that we plan on coming back here again to try other dishes!“

“Love going to RGB every time we are in Seattle. This location just isn't it, though. The service is usually awkward and slow. Tables and floors were dirty this last visit. I'd still patron for the RGB, but it just doesn't compare to their Pike Place spot.“

“A nice little neighborhood bar that's tucked away just off the main drag. One of the few reasonably priced options left open in the area. You'll see a lot of long time locals there which is obviously a good thing.

Would def recommend if you're in the area and looking for a drink.“

“By far the best pizza in Seattle. Super chill staff and vibes. The Za is incredible. Some unique creations as well. Such a great variety of beers local and foreign on tap and bottled. They probably have the only outdoor seating in Ballard which catches the late afternoon sunlight. Occasionally they’ll do small concerts and improv events. Also they LOVE dogs! “Stopped in with a friend to play some pinball on Wednesday 8/23/23. Pinball map was pretty accurate regarding pins on location, and the games we played were in good condition, spaced out well, and most had cupholders or tables close by. There were the requisite 40"-50" TVs playing sports set up around the bar, but they were not the center of attention - this isn't a sports bar. There were 4-5 pool tables, and all were busy by the time we left for the Ice Box around 9 PM. Stiff well drinks, a decent selection of beer, etc., and decent prices for the area. I like the square wooden-framed ~25'x25' area around the bar, away from the pinball and pool - it was kind of cozy and they had a corner with a mic set up for...music or karaoke or stand-up, or something else I guess. New owners revamped this place in late 2021 or early 2022, and they kept the dive bar atmosphere, but really cleaned the place up. No yucky smells, and I didn't feel like I had to wash my hands after I left. I know that's not a high bar, but I what I mean was that it was a pleasant and unpretentious place to hang out. Didn't try any food - maybe next time. Sorry, no pictures this time!“

“Our friends suggested meeting up at The Thirsty Hop, and though a hop shop with sushi seemed like a strange mix, it turned out to be a great combination! As you walk in, the cozy vibe is immediately inviting, especially on a cold, rainy day with an inviting fireplace to sit next to. They even have games to play! The beer selection was decent with plenty of choices, and the sushi was surprisingly delicious! We ordered quite a bit, with the Hawaiian tuna being a standout favorite—we liked it so much, we ordered it twice. We also tried a variety of other dishes, including wings, gyoza, and rolls, and everything was excellent. The staff were friendly and had a great sense of humor, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. As we left, the place was getting busy. We wish them the best of luck and hope they continue to stay busy!“
