“I've been a Seattle resident my entire life and I've probably been going to Ivar's restaurants almost as long. Let's put it this way, I'm old enough to remember Ivar Haglund's commercials and his guest appearances on the JP Patches show. 😆

I've been meaning to write a review of the Issaquah Ivar's because I'm a local and I've always had such good experiences there. Truthfully, I didn't even realize there was an Ivar's in Issaquah until just a few years ago.

As a former restaurant worker (Shari's) many years back, I'm pretty picky when it comes to restaurants. Here's what I like about this one:

About the restaurant:
-It's clean.
-Bathrooms are well maintained.
-Tables are cleared quickly.
-The drink and condiment section (sodas, ketchup, tartar sauce stuff, etc.) always seems to be well-stocked with everything.
-Floors are clean too.
-Have I mentioned it's clean? lol
-The food is always served hot and fresh. Fries are crispy, fish is crispy, chowder is *amazing*, salads are good. My kids don't like the coleslaw (I think it's good) but they love all the other stuff on the menu.

About the people who work there:
-Great, personable customer service.
-The people who work there are quick when you need something.
-I'm not sure who the red-headed manager lady is but she's really attentive, helpful, and funny. Ever since she started working there, that Ivar's location has really improved on all levels. The previous management was OK but this manager really seems to go above and beyond.
-Bob - Have you met Bob? He's an older gentleman who works there and he's seriously an Issaquah legend. My whole family loves Bob! He is the kindest man and we always look forward to seeing him there. I mean, this Ivar's is good but Bob really sells it. He's definitely one of a kind.

Overall, I feel comfortable eating at this restaurant because they seem to run a tight ship. As far as restaurants go, it's one of the cleanest I've been to anywhere.

And now I'm hungry and need some fish and chips. lol.

“The food, service, ambience and quality at the Issaquah MOD location is top-tier. There are options for vegans, vegetarians, gluten-sensitive people (and yes, gluten-sensitive vegans, as well!)

The pizza and salad offerings are highly customizable.

It's clean and well-maintained, the ingredients are very fresh. I've been coming here for years and highly suggest it. The service is fast and friendly!“

“I’ve always loved Taco Bell. The food is consistently delicious, and the combo meals are a great deal. It’s one of my favorite go-to spots for a quick bite. That said, I do wish there was more awareness around how items are fried. Frying things like chicken nuggets and fries in the same oil can be a concern for people with allergies or dietary restrictions. It would be amazing if there were clearer information or separate fryers to help avoid cross-contamination. Still a big fan, just hoping for a bit more care in this area.“

“The food and service here was great, I received my pizza quickly and it was made in perfect accordance to my modifications I requested. All the employees were kind and friendly twords me which I was grateful for, and even with a long line and very busy staff, they still made sure to keep the lobby clean and trash from over filling, all qualities that their Issiquah location should take notes from. Overall after eating out with my friends at multiple mod locations I found this one to be the best!“

“They are trying to program us into the new norms. They had shrunk our sandwiches so much that you think this sandwiches this is for a 7 yrs young kid. Then they charge you for it as much as a regular sandwiches
Prices are really high. Food sizes are midget size ( bite size) with big name & deceiving enlarged photos .

The sandwiches is almost the same size as a house key or a sauce packet
What a joke
Food taste & food quality edible but not so good

Service is terrible. If you go inside.
No one's come talk to you or greet you. You are ignored. No matter how much you try to get their attention.

99% attention is given to drive thru.
That is why lounge is really vacant during busy time.

Very disappointing. It is the same as all other Jack's

You pay more. You get less.

Even the tray has shrunk to match the small sandwiches so the tray look full.

“Been coming here for over fifteen years and decided to leave a review. Service is consistently efficient and friendly, and the flavors are always fresh. Wayyyy more options than Chipotle and the protein options have more flavor than Chipotle. Honestly the best tortilla soup I’ve had, even when including “proper” mexican restaurants. Highly recommend the Cholula chicken for whatever entree you’re getting. Such amazing flavor.“

“It was in a little town near a big Casino (Snoqualmie Casino and Resort) so the prices were pretty high but I think that little area has higher prices at all of the businesses just because of where they are located, I actually reversed out of the Taco Time drive thru before coming here because Taco Times prices were ridiculously high even more so then Arby's.... i.e.,my order was 2 classic beef n cheddar melts with 2 large milkshakes and it came out to $35 & some change, over all is was in a quiet and beautiful area, the service was fast and the gal at the window from Louisiana was very nice and friendly she got us what we needed and had a smile while doing so which is always much appreciated when you get good customer service, customer service seems so rare these days so whenever I am lucky enough to receive good service from any business I feel it deserves kudos so a big thanks to this Arbys and the girl who worked the window, I would return here again if I am ever in that area again even with the higher prices. I have no complaints and would of given it 5 stars and the only reason I give it 4 stars is due to the pricing but as I mentioned above earlier I do believe that whole town has higher prices because of its Prime Realestate; it's kinda a double whammy for them when you think about it, smaller towns usually have higher prices and then it being near that casino also has an effect on the ↗️💲(Prime Realestate) 😁😁👍👍“

“I can't eat a lot of fast food but sometimes you NEED MCD FRIES!! Got a super disappointing, cold, floppy fry large. Why do you guys do this? Especially in drive thru when we have schedules to keep and cannot go back. Gross MCD. Just wrong. :-( Just bit into my cold cheeseburger with hardened cheese on the side. What a terrible terrible meal!!!! I've never been soooo disappointed. There goes money down the drain.“

“Traveling East on I-90 and needed a quick bite to eat so went here, ordered from their parking lot, got in line, got my order, on my way. I did stop to eat but you cannot access the parking lot from the drive-thru exit which would have been helpful. All good though and would stop here again. Very fast service which was very much appreciated!“
