“Dinner for four on a late Saturday afternoon was wonderful! Easy parking, attentive server and cozy atmosphere. Fresh orchids on the table and also on our plates. We ordered 6 different dishes and we were all very satisfied. The best part of the meal...all four of us ordered sweet sticky rice with fresh mango!

Vegetarian options: Tofo is one of the options for most dishes, and it's very good.

“I’ve been coming to this location for over 30 years. I haven’t been for a few years and my kid was really craving teriyaki so we made the drive to Puyallup for a little nostalgia.
I don’t think this place is managed by the same people. The place looks pretty much the same but possibly under new management.
The older woman who worked here for many years was not here. I didn’t recognize any of the usual staff. There is another woman behind the counter tonight. She was busy getting things done. She is loud and capable, but could rub people the wrong way. She means well, but I think things get lost in translation. For example this evening a customer ordered food through DoorDash and came to pick it up. The woman behind the counter tried to tell the customer it would be $20 cheaper to order through the store directly instead of paying for in-store pickup through DoorDash. The woman behind the counter came across loud and bossy. The customer left upset and obviously confused. The woman behind the counter said she just wanted her customers to not pay extra money.
The food tonight is different than it had been all the years I’ve known this place too. Everything is saucy, even the teriyaki. Still has a good taste and good sized portions, just different. The woman behind the counter was juggling online orders, phone orders, walk-in orders and table service. Our drinks were refilled twice and our food came out quick and hot. Bathrooms were clean, restaurant was clean.
Tonight is Thursday and there was a lot of business there.“

“I ordered catering for a birthday party and the food became a conversation starter. Tamu foods did an excellent job. Everything on my menu was so scrumptious. We especially loved the mini beef samosa and mahamri. Their chapati is also heavenly. Oh and the chicken wings! Highly recommend. Best Kenyan food in Washington.“

The duck scraps had a rich, bitter flavor—in the best way possible. The yellow curry was packed with flavor, and the Lao sausage was absolutely delicious. The mango sticky rice was the perfect finish—sweet, creamy, and refreshing. The owner was incredibly kind. We arrived around 7:11 PM, close to closing time, but he still welcomed our family and let us enjoy our meal. Even as more people came in for the 99-cent chicken wings, thinking the place was still open, he welcomed them with a smile. Hands down, one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had.“

“Probably the best chicken pho I've had in Washington state. The soup base tasted like legit homemade stock. Chicken and toppings tasted fresh.
My partner got the teriyaki/orange chicken. It wasn't the best but it was still a good plate of food with salad, too. I'd go back.“

The customer service is...well they take your order and money and you get food, that is it. Perfect. I gave this place a 3.5 star review, but it is definitely a 3.5 worthy place, and if you know anything about Teriyaki in Seattle, 3.5 stars is the best spot for the best Teriyaki, because food is made with love not manners and customer service voice!“

“First time eating at Nami Sushi, and it did not disappoint! We ordered the small boat, which has 20 different items in the boat and 3 different kinds of rolls. We also ordered the tempura calamari and Agedashi with a side of Japanese beer (large bottle of Asahi). The wait staff are attentive and checked on us multiple times. “Fantastic quality of teriyaki, sushi, and soup; quite literally some of the best teriyaki we've had in Tacoma and elsewhere. Staff is extremely polite and provides fast and accurate service. The atmosphere is very calm and pretty, and the bathroom was clean and very nice. Will be visiting here constantly!

“You would be forgiven for dismissing this place as just another teriyaki place in a strip mall off a busy highway. But you would be missing out on a hidden gem. It is really, really good! The number of food choices is staggering, the lady who served us was so nice, the portions huge, and the food outstanding. Six of us ate there so we got a lot of different things off the menu and everything was fresh, the sauces spot on, and the rice perfect. I had the tofu yakisoba and it is the new benchmark for me for that dish. Would make a point to go back if I was in the area and would 100% recommend.“
