“Do yourself a favor — EAT AT LOTUS POND. (1) Carpool to Lotus Pond. The more the merrier. (2) Appetizers: You can’t lose. Everything is good. Me? I eat the Imperial Rolls. Get two orders of the egg rolls aka Imperial Rolls — one order won’t be enough for 2 people. Start there, you’ll be very happy. Also order the pork belly on the skewers please, No regrets. It’s very good. (3) Noodle Soups. Every bowl Is a winner. Pho is great, no question there. However, you absolutely must eat the SEAFOOD with special Red Noodle. (4) Early enough during the day, drink the Viet Ice Coffee. (5) Too bad they don’t have enough staff/hands to make the BANH CUON but they make up for it in many ways. Try everything on the menu. I’m not a relative. I don’t get money or fame for recommending Lotus Pond. I just know authentic good food when I see and eat it. Try it. “This was my mom's and I’s last cafe hop in Seattle before leaving, and it was worth it! We arrived right when it opened due to our flight. I unfortunately did not get anything; however, my mom ordered a hot decaf Americano and it was love at first sight. She said it was VERY good, and she was sad we didn’t come sooner because its very close to the place we stayed at. It was so good that we decided to buy four coffee bags! (we turned around the second we left😅👀). I recommend it–its very close to the transit station.

They do have amazing cocktails but wowza with tax and tip and spending $30 per drink, my belly is happy but my wallet is not. Don’t regret coming though!“

“La Copa has the best coffee in the area. Their staff understands the science and art of pulling espresso shots and their machine is calibrated properly so your drink is well made. They have a nice variety of food options made on premises and everything is delicious. Our favorites are the breakfast burritos (huge and yummy), the coffee cakes (flavors rotate), GF banana bread w/ chips, the danishes, the marzuka bars, the cookies, and the turkey pesto panini. The owners and staff are hard-working and kind. They care about their locals and the newbies. Do yourself a favor and stop in. You deserve it!“

“First timer, stopping in after meeting a new client in the area. I ordered a bunch of items to try it out. I got the grilled cheese, a couple of quiche, lavender chia tea, and some other goodies in pics. The magic bar was my fav. So good. The cafe itself could use some updating, but I just got items to go. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's located right across the street from the little kid pool at Green Lake.“

“Everything was absolutely amazing. From parking which is a short walk to the restaurant and validated so you only pay $5, to the service which Zach was amazing at. The manager Steve said hi as well to greet us a Happy Anniversary which was nice. Food was absolutely impeccable. We had the Restaurant Week option and got the 8oz Filet Mignon, Mashed potatoes, creamy spinach, cup of lobster bisque, wedge salad and the cheesecake and dark espresso cake. I have to say it was all 10/10, delicious and perfectly timed. Ambiance was nice and classy.“

Really you cannot get better vegan and gluten-free ice cream anywhere.
When I moved away from Western Washington, seven years ago, I will admit that multiple times I have had their pints shipped to my house, especially with their limited edition seasonal flavors.

So when I'm in town, this is absolutely one of my must stops. This last weekend was no exception. I visited their Ballard shop, and I got their miso moon in a waffle cone.

“Not just THE BEST buttermilk biscuits, but the best GLUTEN FREE biscuits! I ate them too fast to take a photo and will be ordering more! The bacon in the MacGregor was perfect and I loved the cheese on the Pike. They're crispy on the outside, perfect for your favorite toppings, and flakey on the inside. I took them home and they paired well with breakfast and the chili I had for dinner. Huge thank you to the staff for the recommendations! If you haven't been here, what are you waiting for?“

“Unique old garage atmosphere, dark and dirty with somewhat community seating. There are many beers on tap which super fun at order time. The staff is happy to pour samples and is prepared for the asks. However, the samples are so small that they are worthless unless you are a tasting pro or just trying to distinguish between a stout and a Pilsner. If your whole existance is varieties in tap beers, samples are part of the business. Embrace that and ensure customer experience is part of the package. Every time I get samples, I get the rushed feeling. Here's your 2 drop sample, suck it down and give me your order. I come here for the ~40 beer tap selection; it's part of the fun! Sampling adds to the experience and prices are high enough that I want to enjoy my beers.

I like dinner with my beers and the food trucks are mostly good, but one is always limited to that one truck. The location doesn't lend itself to other options.“
