“Do yourself a favor — EAT AT LOTUS POND. (1) Carpool to Lotus Pond. The more the merrier. (2) Appetizers: You can’t lose. Everything is good. Me? I eat the Imperial Rolls. Get two orders of the egg rolls aka Imperial Rolls — one order won’t be enough for 2 people. Start there, you’ll be very happy. Also order the pork belly on the skewers please, No regrets. It’s very good. (3) Noodle Soups. Every bowl Is a winner. Pho is great, no question there. However, you absolutely must eat the SEAFOOD with special Red Noodle. (4) Early enough during the day, drink the Viet Ice Coffee. (5) Too bad they don’t have enough staff/hands to make the BANH CUON but they make up for it in many ways. Try everything on the menu. I’m not a relative. I don’t get money or fame for recommending Lotus Pond. I just know authentic good food when I see and eat it. Try it. You will leave with a full, joyous stomach … you will be very satisfied. Happy eating!“

The Pink Door is one of those rare places that’s somehow both trendy and timeless. We were lucky enough to be seated in the back dining room overlooking the Ferris wheel and the Salish Sea, and the view alone could’ve made the night. But then came the food — and wow. “I love Frankie and Jo's. I've been a huge fan for probably at least a decade now.
Really you cannot get better vegan and gluten-free ice cream anywhere.
When I moved away from Western Washington, seven years ago, I will admit that multiple times I have had their pints shipped to my house, especially with their limited edition seasonal flavors.

So when I'm in town, this is absolutely one of my must stops. This last weekend was no exception. I visited their Ballard shop, and I got their miso moon in a waffle cone.

“Ate breakfast here about 8:30 am on a Friday morning. I had a lox & cream cheese bagel and coffee and it was fantastic. Took about 15 minutes to prepare, but the wait was understandable. I got my food to go and ate at some of the common tables in the market.“

“Super impressed with this locally owned coffee shop... It has the vibe of old school Seattle coffee shops with a fresh edge, which is to say it's casual and comfortable, made for hanging out, but they also carry more food and make it easy to get stuff to go.
They bake and make all their stuff in house. The excellence of their wares is evidenced by the number of customers and the many take out orders getting picked up.
The counter person was super helpful, friendly and welcoming. They recommended several things and I tried the coconut bread, a signature item. It was delicious - a large slab that was moist and flavorful. I appreciate the variety. This isn't the same old-same old.

“Another exceptional dinner at Tulio’s on 12/3/25! I live about an hour south of Seattle but I always come here for my birthday dinner which I’ve been doing at least for the past decade. The gnocchi is amazing and we each had the black cod, the best I’ve ever had. Amazingly, for the past few years we’ve gotten the same server - Chris P. “This was my mom's and I’s last cafe hop in Seattle before leaving, and it was worth it! We arrived right when it opened due to our flight. I unfortunately did not get anything; however, my mom ordered a hot decaf Americano and it was love at first sight. She said it was VERY good, and she was sad we didn’t come sooner because its very close to the place we stayed at. It was so good that we decided to buy four coffee bags! (we turned around the second we left😅👀). I recommend it–its very close to the transit station.
